Stock rear suspension F250s. Can measure from the top of the axle tube to the bottom of the frame? My truck has just lift springs with no blocks and I want to know what size lift they are. I'm also considering switching back to stock springs because the lift springs ride like crap.
View 5 RepliesI bought new pads for my truck and the fronts went on with no problem at all, but when I got to the rear the tabs/ears on the pads are about 1/8 inch wider than the notch they are supposed to fit in. I bought part number BR-1067, which is supposed to fit but obviously doesn't. What part number should I have bought? My truck is a 2007 F250 Super Crew Lariat FX4.

View 5 RepliesOne thing I noticed with my truck was that the sound was really poor (truck is fitted with "premium sound") - I followed the common thread and replaced all 4 speakers with the Infinity 6829CF's, when doing it, it definitely improved the mid and high range clarity, but in the lower end there was nothing.
I then discovered no movement in the sub... I am a little electrically challenged, and wondered if you have some pointers (i.e. does it have its own fuse/relay to check)
I want to get rid of the stock exhaust and run a 4' or 5' exhaust all the way back. Will I still need to use DEF? Completely remove the whole system.
View 9 RepliesI just purchased a used f250 6.0L a week after having it i noticed a small oil leak slowly got worse (looked as if it was coming from the too rear of the engine) then noticed about a half quart of oil under my truck. While driving it home the oil pressure gauge kept dropping then going back to normal then eventually dropping for good. The truck still ran so i drove it to take it to the mechanic but then the throttle began to become unresponsive and then gain power again then finally the truck shut off and wouldn't start again, blowing oil all over the inside of the hood and top of the engine. I checked it and noticed the pressure sensor pigtail were fraid so i replaced that along with the sensor and added oil but still wont start.

I bought a new regulator and hooked it up to power before going through the trouble of removing the old one. It traveled down and wouldn't go up. The switch is working because I have power to it and thru it. What it might be?
View 5 RepliesI spotted a leak last nite on my 6.0. It is coolant, running down the right rear on 2 metal lines that go to the trans I think. It was dark and 24 degrees so I did not spend too much time looking. Shut the mother down til I could research. 2004 250, 6.0 FX4x4, stock. Coolant was changed to green by previous owner. Bought it 4 months ago. 187,000 miles.....
View 14 RepliesI have a 2011 f250 crew cab lariat that actually sits about 3" higher on the passenger side in the rear. I never noticed until I put some 4" pro comp blocks on the rear. I measured before and the rear left was 40" and right was 41-3/4". Now the drivers side rear is 42" and rear passenger side is 45"? I have looked at the blocks to make sure they are seated properly and everything is installed correct so what gives? What could be causing this. I bought the truck with 99k miles and now it's at 130k miles. I do tow a small cargo trailer sometimes but it is only about 3k lbs. Now I am thinking of buying some new leaf springs to see if that corrects the problem.

View 14 RepliesI have a bit of a quandary with my 6.0 and I'm wondering how it compares to others. If you have a hot or race tune (example: super panty dropper) on your 6.0 with stock injectors, what is the peak high pressure oil that you see at full throttle?
Need to know high pressure oil PSI @ full throttle, year (or better yet which style hpop you have if you know), if your ecu tune is a "race" tune, and if you have any FICM tuning.
Truck has an SCT tune from Innovative Diesel.

View 3 RepliesPurchased 2011 3 weeks ago. Due to not paying attention, put gas in diesel. Had tank dropped and drained but after reassembly, fuel gauge inop. When turn ignition switch on, get normal sweep of all dash gauges but fuel gauge does not read. 2nd tech says sender okay, must be gauge. Dealer ssays if it sweeps, it isn't the gauge. 011 F250 6.7L.....
View 7 RepliesWhen the truck shifts into 5th gear i instantly feel a constant vibration and noise until it shifts to 6th gear. This happens nearly every time while driving at 40mph. Rpm range 1200 - 2000. I bought the truck new on June 30th and noticed the problem on my way to work on Monday July 2nd. Took it to the dealer on July 5th and the tech said it was the torque converter slipping. I drove it home because they didn't have time to work on it. Took it back on July 12th and the dealer has had it since (currently 30 days) They originally told me it was not the engine or transmission and it was an exhaust problem. Last week they said it was the motor mounts and said they would be done.
View 14 RepliesSo my strut mounts are shot and I wanted to add adjustable rear control arms to eliminate tire wear. So thinking of going with Bilstein HD's with the stock springs. Oh and BTW want to keep stock ride height since it is my daily. The only option I would consider for springs would be the euro version of the stock springs.
View 4 RepliesMy 2012 diesel frequently stalls momentarily after I touch the brake. This is very annoying as I drive in heavy traffic and often have to touch the brake then accelerate to merge into freeway traffic. The dealer service department said this was a 'feature' and not a flaw. Is there any way to eliminate this issue?

View 5 RepliesI currently have the rear axle shafts off the truck. I took off, cleaned then put on the rear diff cover.
I live in an area that does nothing but form rust anywhere and everywhere in very little time.
I don't want rust forming in the rear diff gears - can I fill the rear diff up ? Or will it leak out of the rear shaft holes ? Can I fill it up halfway then ?
I have about 70k miles on my truck and I've noticed just recently that my suspension is squeaking or creaking when I start to turn the wheel. What's the solution.... 2011 6.7 F350 super duty....
View 5 RepliesI have a 2004 F250. Owned it for a little less than 4 miles (186k on the odometer) .. The other day making a routine run and the radio goes out. Stopped to check it out and found I had no power windows either.
Made it home, checked the fuse on the radio and its good and the the power window fuse is also good. Put a meter on the terminals and have no voltage going to them. What I need to look at???
