I am a new owner of a 2006 F 250 6.0.
I need to install a new washer fluid pump. My question is what is the best way to get the old one off and the new one on? Should I go from under the wheel well? Or is there another easier way to get to it? The truck didn't come with an owners Manuel and I cant find anything about how to do this.
If it can go wrong, it seems like it does.... Washer fluid is not pumping. The other day I am almost sure I heard the pump running but no fluid came out. Yesterday I filled the reservoir and now I don't even hear the pump. It's been very cold so I thought maybe the fluid had frozen? I can't find the fuse listed for the washer fluid pump and was going to check that first. Where is the pump even located? 2006 F350
View 6 Replies1993 ford ranger ... Having issues with washer fluid not working. Mine has started cutting out or not even working when I push the button. But if bang it on the end of the handle with something hard it will work just long enough to clean the salt off the window.
View 14 Repliesgetting weak spray/dribble (yea, it could be a "personal problem " on the drivers side squirter. Left side great. I have replaced both squirters and blew out the line where it T's over to the drivers side.
Still weak.. I'm thinking its most likely low pressure coming off the pump and maybe it's time to replace I haven't crawled under there to inspect placement of pump. Thought while there I would also replace the reservoir.
I have a 2003 Explorer Sport and the windshield washer pump is not getting power. Owners manual does not show fuse or relay locations.
View 2 RepliesOn our '06 Avalon Limited, my wife had parked the car was parked in the driveway and about 30 min later I walked by and heard that the wiper fluid pump motor was running non-stop. The only way I could get it to shut off was to loosen the fender liner and reach in and un-plug it. I'm thinking relay, but would it be that, the switch, the motor itself, where should I start and how can I tell or diagnose short of replacing them?

View 14 RepliesOkay, So my rear washer is not pushing out the nozzle. Pump works, line from res checks okay, nothing frozen at this point. What route the line goes through the body, or what the diag steps are or the process to service it?
View 10 Replieshave a 2006 f250 with the 6.0 Powerstroke diesel started overheating yesterday the ECT and EOTcheck fine with the scangauge always ran with in 8 degree's of each other. Thought maybe water pump impeller may have been slipping so it is new with no change. Fan kicks on like it should. Heater works good so don't think it is a thermostat.

My washer fluid pump is not working, it was a few weeks ago but now it is broken. The Owner's Manual only has the listing fuse 33 for "cluster, 4x4, wipers". It looks like some of the older models have an actual fuse for the "washer fluid pump". I checked fuse 33 under the dash and it is ok. What fuse controls the washer fluid pump?
The pump does not make noise when activated, so I'm starting at the fuse but I don't know what the hell is going on.
I have a 2004 Super Duty with a 6.0 diesel. Recently the windshield washer seems to have lost some of it's spray power. It still sprays, just not very hard. I know it's not frozen, as it started this before it got cold.
View 3 RepliesA friend of mine almost crashed his 2014 Santa Fe during a snow storm, his washer fluid pump stopped working and he could not see in front of him on a bridge, he could not stop on a bridge. He has been scared to death. The dealer found out that the pump was completely rusted inside and out. It should be made of stainless. not steel. The dealer told him he was not the first to report this problem.
View 5 RepliesI know I need to remove the reservoir to replace the pump but I can't get it out. I removed the storage compartment, then the bolt connecting the translucent top portion of the reservoir that connects to the front and the side bolt that connects the reservoir to the side of the truck. It is loose but I still cannot get the reservoir out.

View 1 RepliesSo I installed a new IPR valve. Now it cranks but wont turn over. I read something about how the IPR valve has to be 'clocked" in the same exact position it was in when I took it out? Would this cause my truck not to turn over? Truck has never not started before.
When I tightened it down, it was not in exact position as the old one. If I wanted it in exact position as old one, it would have not been tightened correctly. I couldn't make one more full turn around. what do u think???
Installing the ford accessory dvd players for trucks? not sure if i want to get them just yet but i am looking into options since i have a sunroof and cannot install an overhead player..or can i? I just want to know what you have to do to install them? do they work good? does the leather match?
View 8 RepliesGot a problem with my wifes 2016 Elantra... The washer fluid pump stopped working.
The wipers work, and their is no blockage in the fluid lines from the tank to the nozzles. I used my compressor to blow out the lines in both directions. I've done some research, and someone said if the wipers work its not a fuse issue.
I saw a video on you tube for an older Elantra, that showed the pump behind the headlight... Does that hold true for the 2016? And if so, how do I get the headlight assembly out?
Window washer nozzle break? My passenger side broke last Friday and then today when inspecting the driver's side it broke in the exact same place. They broke near where the nozzle that is inserted into the hose takes a 90 degree turn up through the hood leaving parts of the nozzle in the hose. I was able to squeeze the rubber hose with pliers to break up the plastic nozzle so that it would fall out. Attempts to grab broken nozzle piece with needle nose pliers were unsuccessful. Of course they waited too break until 8 months after my warranty expired but not a big deal. 10 minute install. I got the last two that the dealer had in stock.
View 14 RepliesHad a large puddle of coolant under my '05 X this afternoon after work. Seems it's leaking from the Y connection coming off the heater water control valve. See first pic.
I think it's part number 18472 (labeled with the circled 1) on left side in pic #2. Need to confirm this is the right part and the full part number?
Lastly, how the heck do you change this hose? It's tucked up under the cowl and looks like difficult.
