Elantra XD (2001-06) :: When Turn The Key Car Won't Start After Not Using It For A Week

I was away on a trip for a week after coming back my 03 hyundai elantra wont start. Everything seems to be good when the key is in the on position. The stereo and the lights are on. But when I turn the key to start the car everything shuts off and the car wont start. Then the lights or stereo wont even turn on. Its not the battery I took the battery to get checked they said the battery is fine.

I have a 2001 Buick LeSabre (Limited), with 101,000 miles. It runs great and a very reliable car except:
After going for some driving in town during a warm day (60 F or above) doing business, the engine gets warm but within normal temperature range, and after making a stop to get groceries for eample, I have to be very careful when starting the car again. If I let the starter go for more than a quarter tourn (crank), the engine gets week and acts like it is flooded with gas, just like when we had carburators in old car and it dies after a few shakings.
So I have to wait for 15 minutes at least before I restart the engine but doing so I have to be really careful again not to let the starter crank for more than a quarter turn. However, this problem does not happen during cold weather days (say below 40 degrees F). What is going on with my car?

2010 Corolla set for a week I went to use it and it would not start it would turn over but not start. I don't think it was the battery because it would chug for a few seconds miss/hiccup then die after trying 8 times it finally started you could smell fuel and the rpms where at 2000 but went back down after it warmed up.
After it started I had the check engine light, vsc off and slip indicator light on when I parked the car I had no issues.
How can this happen by setting for a week in a garage? There's no animals to chew on anything. In the past the car has been hard to start if it set for a week similar to what happened today but never as bad and no check engine lights.
I turned the car off and on and now it starts fine and seems to run ok but all 3 lights are still on. The oxygen sensor on bank 1 was replaced almost a year ago.

My 2000 Excursion 7.3 Limited started something all new this week. No brake lights, signal lights or flashers. The signal flasher relay is only a couple months old, but I don't think that's the issue. If I sit for just a moment with door open or park lights on, the truck is too week to start. Batteries seem fine and ALT is 14 volt charging when running (ALT replaced with used ALT about a month ago). Further, it has started having long starts like the glow plugs are not cycling. Any clue as to what might be going on?

I got this car 5 months ago for my sister and it run well until recently. The car has 117k miles on it but a couple of weeks ago she said she had problems starting it. It did start the next day (she did nothing) and had no problems for a few more days. A day later she said smoke came from the hood and it stopped. I came out a few days later and try to start it and it started on the first key turn. Saw no sign of smoke or anything that caught fire. Notice the radiator water was low so I turned it off to put water in it and it would not start back up not even with a jump. I placed the scanner on it and no codes were listed. Took the battery to get tested and it failed so I got a new one. Tried starting it again and it still will not turn over.

Just got my timing belt replaced along with the accessory belts and the water pump. I noticed that now my wheels screech when i turn the wheel all the way to the left. This happens mostly when i am pulling in or out of parking spots as that is the only time i need to turn my wheel all the way. I also noticed that when i first turn on my car for the first time in the day, i have high rpms. The rpm returns to normal after i put it in reverse or drive. I didn't have this problem before.

I just bought a 2005 hyundia elantra. It makes a squealing noise when you turn the car on and now just within the last day it now makes the squealing noise with the slightest turn of the steering wheel! The engine light also came on yesterday! I just bought this car a week ago and so far nothing but frustrated! ! Why it would be making the squealing noise? When you turn the car to the right the squealing is louder and steering wheel gets very tight!! Was told it sounds like a serpentine belt.. but my husband says it sounds like a power steering problem..

When my 2001 Elantra is started, the door chime remains on and the red "door open" indicator remains lit on the dashboard. The chiming continues throughout my entire drive.
While the engine is running I am not able to lock the doors. When the engine is not running, I can lock the doors, but the inside red light on the door, on the driver's side only, stays lit.
I have checked all the fuses, do you know what I can do to either fix it or disable the chiming so I can drive more peacefully?

I have a 2003 hyundai elantra gt. All the lights and bulbs work, except for the rear left brake light. I've replaced it twice now, and used a bulb I know was good, so the problem is not a bulb. I checked the fuse, and the fuse is ok as well. When I measure at the bulb socket with an ammeter I get around 20 mA which I assume is too small and I assume there is a loose wire somewhere.

I have a problem with my 2005 hyundai elantra 2.0L . Every time I turn it on and try to drive, the steering wheel is kinda jammed. It wouldn't turn all the way. And I can here some noises from the hood as i turn it more. Sometimes i have to wait for it till it heats up a little then the steering could turn smoothly. Some guy told me it could be one of the belts (which i don't know which one).

2007 Elantra GLS won't start from time to time. Battery and fuel pump replaced and still won't turn over. It just sounds like it's trying then dies. I see similar posts but no real solution?

2002 Elantra GLS automatic Every once in a while when I use my turn signal, the signal will either not come on at all or flash very slowly. Also, all the interior lights (gauge cluster, windows, radio etc) that are on when I turn on the headlights will flicker when I move the turn signal selector sometimes. This comes and goes and the only way I can sometimes replicate it is when the headlight is on, I'll kinda jiggle the turn signal selector up and down and the interior lights will flicker and go out then come back on. Turning the steering wheel will sometimes cause the turn signals to flash slower or stop altogether, but again this comes and goes.
I'm guessing its something inside the steering column....maybe a loose or dirty contact? Or maybe a flasher? I know my old Camaro has a flasher that looked like a relay. Once the turn signal just came on and didn't flash and that's what I had to replace.

I just got into my 2012 GLS Elantra and tried firing it up, and the engine will turn over, but wont start. Power windows, radio, lights, everything works. Earlier in the day, I moved the car from the garage to the driveway and turned it off about 30 seconds after I turned it on..
I've read things from checking the sparks to the fuel pump..is it possible that it could be flooded? I am leaving it alone right now and I plan to try to fire it up in an hour or so with the accelerator fully pressed down in case this is the case, hopefully that does the trick..

Recently purchased a 2016 Elantra. All was working well with car. Now, all of a sudden, when I turn on car via remote start the heater isnt coming on like it did before. It wont turn on until I put key in ignition. I had to get a new remote recently and seems like thats when it started to happen, but I cant be sure. Is it possible the remote was programmed incorrectly? Or is it more likely a fuse or relay issue?

Ok, so, according to my dad, his car battery died, and he had to have it jumped. After the jump, apparently his headunit will no longer turn on. We think it may be a blown fuse, in which case we need to know the location of the fuse (and probably the rating & label of it, for identification's sake). I have an aftermarket headunit in my Santa Fe, and the fuse for that is in the back of the actual unit itself, so I don't know if there's a fuse in the back of his factory stereo too...? However, we are not exactly sure what the problem is. My dad's car is a 2007 Hyundai Elantra with the premium factory audio system installed. He gets Sirius-XM and has an aux input (everything pertaining to audio is factory-installed).

Starting yesterday, when I start my 2007 Elantra....I turn the key, everything lights up as normal, I hear the fuel pump turn on.....then there is no other sounds for between 1-3 seconds. Then the car starts and runs normally. I remember reading about things like this but of course can't find it now that i need it!

I currently installed my HID's and I saw that I needed to have a relay for them so I made sure I bought that too. They work but when I turn on the car sometimes the left headlight won't turn on I have to turn them off and on in order for it to turn on. The relay is connected straight to the battery so I don't see why it won't turn on. I heard of some diy capacitors but didn't see the link on those old threads.

I own a 2002 Hyundai Elantra and I was driving it it started decelerating but my foot was on the gas and it died I tried starting it but it did not start. we tried spraying starting filed in the engine and still nothing.

When I try to turn on the car it cranks and seems like it is about to start but just keeps cranking. I have put dry gas, shoot starter fluid up the air filter and tried jumping it. I have managed to get it started but dies a second later. Not sure what to do, someone told me that it might be the fuel filter.

I have an 01 Elantra GLS, automatic.
The initial problem started 3 months ago. The car would surge at highway speeds intermittently, but not throw any codes. It would only happen every couple of weeks.
First I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. The car seemed ok at first, but eventually bucked while driving at hwy speeds.
Next I replaced the fuel regulator, which is located in the tank, if I am correct.
The problem continued. Next, I replaced the throttle position sensor. Again the car would run as normal, but soon enough it did the same thing. In addition, it also wouldn't always start on the first try. Pretty quickly it wouldn't start at all.
I was able to get it started and drive it home, however the car had no power and seemed like it would stall if i pressed an the accelerator too much.
I had to replace the starter next, and I also replaced both the crank position sensor and the cam position sensor.
I do believe the engine was flooded at some point. I was able to get it to start, but it still ran rough. I replaced the plugs twice. The first set I replaced looked pretty dark. I suspect it was because of all the cranking but no fire.
The last time I got it to start I did get a misfire code for cylinders 1&4, and it still runs rough and has no power. After shutting the engine off, I was unable to get it started again. That is when I put in the second set of plugs.
I have verified that the injectors are getting power at the same time as the plugs. I have ohmed out the primary and secondary sides of both coil packs and they are the same and within specs. I have also ohmed out the injectors and they are also all the same and within range. I have verified 12v power to the coil packs and injectors.
I have ohmed out the plug wires and they appear to be good. the resistance increases with the length of the wires. Is it possible that I have lost compression in cylinders 1&4 because of flooding the engine?
