Looking to find out what size bulb goes in the red light located on the lower part of the front door panel.

View 2 RepliesWhat is the size bulb for the Fog light. I search but nothing come up.
View 2 RepliesThe lights on the knob which selects the where to push the blower air have gone out. I took the dash fucia out and took the that piece that controls the heat and fan speed out. But I don't understand how to open it up to replace the bulb. There are little tabs around the piece which I tried to open but the knobs are connected to something inside so I didn't want to pull too hard and risk breaking something.
How I can change the light bulb? I attached a picture to the post and circled in red the area I'm referring to where the light bulb has gone out.
Is there any way to turn off the little green light bulb icon in the instrument panel? I run my dash light at minimum brightness and that little light bugs me.
View 3 RepliesI just finished replacing the instrument panel light bulbs on my 1997 Ranger XL, 2.3L, 2WD pickup. I wanted to share how I did this. First of all, if you never have done this before, go slow and take your time removing the dash panels as they are plastic molding and break easily. Allow yourself about an hour to complete the task. You will need smaller sized hand sockets to remove the screws. The very first thing you should do is remove the negative battery cable from the battery. This way you will not risk shorting out anything electrical as well as possibly triggering the airbag in the steering wheel column.
The key piece in starting the process is to remove the radio first and then central console panel that houses the radio. It pops out very easily by gently prying it out in the four corners. Once you get that piece out remove the screws the support the lower knee panel. In order to get that piece off you will have to remove the two screws the hold the hood release lever in place. Get under the dashboard and look up as you lay looking upward near the brake pedal. Pull the hood release lever and you will see the two gold screws. Remove them. This will free up the panel on the under side. The top side of the panel will pop out if you pry it gently on the top two corners.
Next, you will see a metal panel underneath the knee panel. Remove this metal panel as well. Now you will be able to remove the instrument cluster panel piece. There are some visible screws holding this in place, remove them and gently pry the cluster panel out. Once the cluster panel cover is out you will have to actually remove the gauge cluster itself by removing the the four screw bolts that secure it in place. After the screws are out, gently work it out of the dash slowly as you will need to disconnect three electric plug harnesses in the back.
After it is unplugged and out, on the backside of the instrument cluster you will see some round, black colored thumb screw bulb housings that house the light bulb. Just twist them and turn making sure to go in the right direction. Feel it out for the direction, I cannot remember which way it turns. The bulb housings are labeled "ILL" on the circuit overlay. I recommend you replace all the bulbs as you might not want to have to do this again in the near future. Once all the bulbs are tightly seated and installed just reverse the above process for installation. This is a fairly easy job and like I said it takes about an hour. Make sure you test the lights after finishing.
When my 2001 Elantra is started, the door chime remains on and the red "door open" indicator remains lit on the dashboard. The chiming continues throughout my entire drive.
While the engine is running I am not able to lock the doors. When the engine is not running, I can lock the doors, but the inside red light on the door, on the driver's side only, stays lit.
I have checked all the fuses, do you know what I can do to either fix it or disable the chiming so I can drive more peacefully?
I noticed this morning that since last night the passengers side red interior door light stays on after the door is shut. The dome light shuts off once the door is closed however the red light does not. I've checked all four door light sensors that actuates the interior lighting but they all function correctly without any resistance or stickiness. The drivers side red interior light functions as it should but the passengers side stays on all the time.
I'm worried the battery will be drained if the light continues to stay on. I'd light to figure out why this is happening. If I choose to remove the bulb will there will be a draw on the battery? And do I have to remove the entire door panel in order to remove the bulb?
What size the bulb is for the instrument cluster?
View 2 Repliesi need to know what bulb size is the bumper turn signals. Mine has blown out.
View 2 RepliesThe stop lights and the tail light of my Elantra GT 2001 (automatic transmission)won't shut off, unless the fuse is removed from its place. Is this something easy to fix? I imagine it can only be some kind of switch on the break pedal/clutch.
View 5 RepliesIf its a fuse what else will not be working? I have not tested with a test light yet but both door panel lights don't work. All the other interior lights work. 1999 ext cab.
View 3 RepliesI took off the door panel of the passenger side door because i needed the serial number for my speaker which is going out, well once iI got everything i needed i replaced the door panel back on it was actually quite simple and took less that 10 mins I didn't even unplug ANYTHING, but then when i get into my car to start it up and go to my mom's house it wont start, nor will it unlock with the key, the lights and everything come on but the engine wont start!
View 9 RepliesMy backup lights only work when I have one bulb or the other installed but not both. The other 4 mini lights in the same circuit on the trunk work. The backup lights do not work at all when the headlights are on. Could it be the backup light relay and where is that located? I checked wiring on the trunk and multiple bulbs.
View 5 RepliesThe left side light bulb on the overhead reading light console is burned out. How do I remove the lens or open the cover to replace this bulb?
View 3 RepliesI was changing out to LED's but after I swap the bulb the light completely doesn't work .
View 7 RepliesThis is my first 2000 Prius.
Speakers would be nice as they don't work. I want to install them myself/front door speakers.
pictures of the how 2 & what not 2 do.
The light bulb just above the interior door handle in the front passenger door is blown on my GX. I'd like to replace it, but I'm not sure how to get access to the bulb.
View 12 RepliesBought the clear replacement lenses for the front door warning lights but I must say I am having trouble trying to figure out how to get the bulb out so I can change it to a blue one.
View 1 RepliesThe dashboard on my 01Ex are getting dimmer.......not a good combination but we both have alot of miles on us and stuff just wears out!
In what limited information I can find it looks like I have to pull the dashboard to get to these things. Seems extreme to pull a dash, but then again this is not my 67-Rambler.
Numerous Instrument panel lights come on when driving ( left hand side esp abs etc and right hand side brake). odometer falls to 0. when i stop and restart its fine but then after driving some time it happens again. 2001 Mercedes benz ml 320....
View 6 RepliesWhen ever I park my 2001 Toyota Prius for a long time in a sunny weather it gets hot inside and outside. When I want to start the car all the front panel lights and alarms will go ON. I still can drive the car without any problem. I could not get any code with the OBD2 sensor. All I can do is to delete the code. Again it just happens when the weather is HOT.
