We have a 2002 elantra...went to auto zone and they ran the test and came back with code u0d00...but they didn't have an answer for it in there computer..

View 4 Replies2003 hyundai accentra and I have trouble code P0303 misfire detected cylinder 3 the car would run rough and hesitate at idle and run rough in drive and reverse I checked the plug gap on number 3 cylinder and it was excessive so I regapped it and put back and the car run good for about a day and now the engine light is back and is running rough and hesitating.

Definition: Intake camshaft position actuator circuit open
Explanation: ECM has detected a low voltage on the VCT circuit
Probable Cause: 1) Open or short circuit condition on the VCT circuit; 2) failed VCT solenoid
Is there a part I can replace myself that can fix this, or is this a dealer repair?
How to diagnose the following codes: U0D00, P0711, P2300.
U0D00 - What this means.
P0711 - Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance. How would I go about fixing this?
P2300 - Ignition Coil "A" Primary Control Circuit Low
Engine light come on and everything is running great, this morning got this error code U0d00. Went to advanced auto and had them run a scan.
View 5 RepliesWhile on my 20 mile commute my check engine light turned on, attached the code reader to the car and got codes P0422 and U0D00. Looked up the P0422 code to find "Caralyst efficiency below normal (bank 1)" I have a list of possible fixes but have no luck finding out about the U0D00 code. I notice I lose and a quart of oil every month and when I start the car, the first 5 seconds or so the engine revs to 4000 rpm.
View 1 RepliesI got an Error Code of U0D00. What this is or means. The scan tool says to refer to your manual but I don't have one.
What the vehicle is doing is that it will work fine for a while then when you stop (in park) the engine will rev really high and back down all by it self for example. It will go up to 3.5 and back to 1 rpm repeated. Then when you start moving the car it will continue to idle higher like you are pressing the gas. During all of this the check engine light will appear?
My r32 mk5 is throwing that code.
I replaced new o2 sensor with oem new one.post cat on driver side.
I have erased dtc and drove 15 miles dtc came back again.
Now i have replaced catalysator on driver side and same thing again.
The CEL tripped yesterday and this is the code autozone pulled. WHat does it mean.
View 3 RepliesMy CEL came on and I took it in to dealer. They replaced the EVAP line and purge valve. My CEL came on again that same week and supposedly it detected a small leak (sporadic, same code as previous), they ran test and did not detect any leaks. They finally told me that I might have to replace the canister if CEL comes on again for same code.
View 3 RepliesI am getting a p0501 code (off my code reader) on my 2001 Elantra. I have already replaced the Speed sensor on top of the transaxle under the air filter. Driving into work today check engine light came back on and took to AutoZone. They are getting a P0501 code Sensor "A". They had no idea which sensor, sensor "A" was. I know there are 4 sensors on this car and have searched for other posts with no luck, all say replace speed sensor. Need to get this done to pass emissions.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2004 Elantra and I have purchased two different code readers. They were the OBII cheaper readers. One of the readers goes through on the screen what appears to be a diagnostic routine and comes back to the home screen. The other says it has a link error. When we go to OReilly's they say no code comes up. The CEL is on. I want to know if I am missing something simple? I just want the code to get to troubleshooting the CEL light. I have removed the negative terminal and the code goes away for about a week or more then comes back. The only other light on is the air bag light but it has always been on and the CEL has not been on until lately. I have to address all the issues but this is my top one now.
View 7 RepliesWe have been fighting a misfire code for about a year now and I'm pretty sure I finally found the cause. Last Spring the car died on the road and we had it towed to a local service center where they said the fuel pump was bad...this was the 2nd in about 2 years (previous owners doc). We had it replaced and the car was fine but as mentioned had a random misfire code that would come and go. In the last month the car has left us stranded several times and then started after a few hours or a day. While checking the connection to the fuel pump with a meter and test light I verified the pump was getting power correctly to the 5-pin connector but would not start. I unplugged the connector and the 1st 2 pins in the harness connector were damaged and probably burnt.
I cleaned it and applied dialectic grease and plugged it back in turned on the key...fuel pump primed and then the car started and ran fine. It then started to randomly turn on and off but not enough to stall the car. I wiggled the connector and the it I could make it run or shut off. Obviously the connector is bad and the contacts are intermittent. While driving the vibrations would move it just enough to make it cut on and off and more than likely cause a misfire code and sometimes stall the car. My problem now is I can't find a replacement connector/pigtail for the harness connector anywhere including the dealer. Where can I get a new connector for the 5-pin fuel pump harness connector? I have found a MAF replacement connector that looks very similar but not 100% sure if it's the same.
My car is an AUG 1.8t with 153K miles and it has been running great since the timing belt change last summer. It died while driving it earlier today. I pulled a P0322 code which looks like it's for a crankshaft position sensor. I cleared the code.
After the car sat for about an hour I was able to restart the car and drive the car two miles back to my house. On the way back I felt the engine shudder and got an Engine Workshop warning, no CEL. I scanned anyway and found a pending P0322. Once I shut the car off it cranks but will not start.
I recently bought elantra 2004 gls, with 107k mileage.
Few days ago the check engine light came on while I was driving it. The next day it went off. This happened today also. I didn't notice anything wrong with the car, no smell, tranny fluid is recent, oil change 2.5k ago.
The code was p0501, speed sensor.
I keep getting the same code for the check engine light of P0128. I have replaced the thermostat twice and the ECT sensor already. I do know know what else I can do for getting this fixed. I have checked the fans and they are working correctly. I have also checked to make sure there is nothing wrong with the head gasket. My car does not over heat, but it does take forever for the temperature gauge to rise. This is for a 2006 Hyundai Elantra. What else I can do?
View 2 RepliesI have a 01 elantra. Check engine light is on. Diags say p0133 o2 sensor slow bank 1 #1. Any way I have replaced the front sensor. Actually now I have 3 of them. The exhaust does not leak. New gaskets on the converter. New flex pipe and everything has been welded.

One day, I decided to go to a mechanic to clean the EGR pipe. Only the pipe, not the whole EGR. It was an extremely simple operation a mechanical one, not electrical etc. Starting from that day, when I go with the car, from time to time, check engine lights up. For a fraction of a second to up to 2 seconds then it disappear.
The car behave itself without a problem. But still the on-off check engine is really annoying.
So a went to the dealer. Put the car on tester.
Result: no code error !
I went to another garage , put another tester on the car, no error..
How can I actually see what the error is if nothing is stocked in the ECU of the car?
I bought my first VW about 3 months ago (so excited!) It's a 2003 Passat, 5 spd, 1.8t. I've had one thing happen so far (until yesterday). On 4 separate occasions when I'd go to start it, it would crank for a few seconds before it would start. Then once it was running the EPC light would turn on. It seemed to be running normally but I turned it off and restarted it and it started normally and the light extinguished (the first three times). The last time (about a week and a half ago) it kept doing it each time I started it, and upon starting probably the 4th time in a row the MIL came on. I drove it about a mile, turned it off for a few minutes, then turned it back on and it started normally with no malfunction lights on. It's been normal since then. Until yesterday...
Yesterday as I'm accelerating from a stop light (I think I was in 3rd) all of the sudden the engine started running really rough and the MIL came on. I turned around and drove about 2 miles back to where I started at about 20mph. The MIL would be steady while coasting and flash while pressing the accelerator. I got a hold of a diagnostic computer and it came up with 3 codes...
1) P0322 Ignition/Dist Engine Speed Input Circuit No Signal
2) P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
3) P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected PENDING
Wife's car - 2005 Taurus, 6 cyl, 3L, OHV, 83K miles. CEL came on and code came back as "P305 - cylinder 5 misfire detected". The car had been running rough. I changed the plugs, wires and coil. After changing these (and clearing the code) the car seemed to run better for about a week. Today it suddenly started running rough again and the CEL came on with the same code. I'm guessing now this is probably fuel related as opposed to spark related??? As a side comment, the tachometer has been fluctuating as of late as well (again, intermittently).

This was the explanation I got from autozone. First question is how serious is this? The car seems to drive fine and normal, but I just purchased this car about a month ago. The light turned off after the guy at autozone plugged in the scanner. I am sure it will come back on again after some driving. Is it ok to drive with it on?
