View 7 RepliesIt goes on and off with a buzzing sound. less so with the radio than with the satellite radio which is wired through the cd plug in the trunk..
Sometimes goes back on when you hid a bump like there's a poor connection.
I have a noise problem on my dashboard ( or i hear like that) There is a sound which is really annoying when i accelerate especially on rough road.

I have a 2012 limited (non tech pkg) and I want to see if my speakers are the only ones that have a buzzing to them during cold mornings? Once it warms up, the speakers tend to be better. I have the power bass on low and I usually listen to AM radio in the morning. Kind of hard to explain but there is a buzzing rattle noise when the sound reaches a high point. It isn't a constant noise but rather dependent on the sound.
View 1 RepliesI cancelled out my bluetooth because of a buzzing noise heard through the speaker when talking to people. A person on here had said they disconnected theirs and then set it up again and buzzing disappeared. I managed to disconnect it and followed the owner's manual to reconnect it but it keeps saying no device found.
View 8 RepliesSince I've had this car I randomly get a buzzing which I thought was coming from the centre console. It sometimes lasts 2 minutes, sometimes 15. Hunted it down last night and it sounds to be coming from the passenger side foot well. The only electrical component I can see up under there is whatever is in the photo.
View 9 RepliesI just purchased a 2016 Hyundai Elantra and the FM radio channels are all experiencing intermittent "buzzing/humming" on them in the background.
AM and Sattelite radio are fine. I've checked on other FM radios from same locations as the Elantra, and those are fine too.
I bought an hid kit for my 2013 elantra a month ago... When I installed them with the relay, I have flickering issues and the relay makes a buzzing noise... How can i fix this???
View 4 RepliesI have a 2008 Elantra GLS with approx 60,000 miles. Recently, without fail, a buzzing sound occurs when changing the vent control knob from floor to vent and vice versa. The sound lasts for about 2 seconds and sounds like it may be coming from the area behind the steering column. All the climate control systems work fine and the buzzing noise only occurs when changing the vent setting. At this point it is just a nuisance as everything seems to be working fine, but in my searching of the forums can not seem to pinpoint what the issue may be.

-Audio is my hobby. I hear things that many people don't. One of the things I'm hearing from my Sound System I is a faint buzzing/vibration in many of the speakers. Some of it can only be heard in certain songs (Steely Dan/Jack Of Speed - Great song!), or when playing an audio book. Most of the time, it comes from the woofers, but with audio books (spoken word), I can hear it from midrange/tweeters as well.
-I've had the car at the dealer multiple times for this. They did replace one speaker and claim to have parts in order to fix it. I suspect that the speakers are just vibrating on their mounts, or vibrating something inside the door. I might be able to fix it. How to take the door panels off so the speakers can be accessed?
Yesterday I noticed the rear driver's side speaker buzzing in my GTI S. Is it possible that I already have a blown speaker (I don't usually crank the system)? Maybe it has something to do with the -5 temps? Anyway, should I take it to the dealer or see about getting some aftermarket speakers since the S sound system is pretty mediocre?
View 9 RepliesI have a new 2015 Elantra GL Manual that seems to have an E-brake that does not feel like it holds the vehicle solidly. I know that the E-brake is probably a small drum brake setup in the rears only but feel like an adjustment can be made to really ratchet that lever up better?
The other issue is a humming, buzzing, vibrating sound in the front passenger side area at hwy speeds. Maybe a vibrating splash shield or rock stuck under the shield?
I was also able to get some new alloy rims for a good price (FAST brand) from the dealer (believe it or not). They aren't the sexiest things to look at but I needed another set of rims anyway to winters and the price was better than plain steelies. I'll probably use the OEM steels for winter now and alloys for summer. The alloys are a little wider at 7 inches than the OEM 6.5 inches and much lighter. I plan on getting Michelin X-Ice soon.
I bought my RX350 last month and sometimes I notice a strange buzzing sound coming from the car while the engine is off. This noise can come at anytime and usually hours after I have turned off my car. It's difficult to isolate where it's coming from and can last just a few minutes.
View 14 RepliesMy car had been sitting in the garage for over 5 hours after short drive this morning. I went into the garage ( without the FOB ) and heard a strange buzzing sound. After walking around I determined it was coming from underneath the rear of the prius. I opened a couple of doors and the hatch and the sound was definitely exterior not interior and continuous.
I don't know how long this had been going on but it was continuous for at least four minutes. I thought the best thing to do would be to take the car for a short spin. I went inside the house to get the FOB and returned to the garage - the noise was still there? I approached the right rear bumper to get a better listen and it stopped suddenly. I guess the difference was the proximity of the FOB?
My '13 Prius Four has started to make a really annoying buzzing sound from the rear while driving. It can be heard inside the car but seems to be louder for passengers in the rear.
View 8 RepliesI have a 2010 model and have had this issue for the past year. When I open the drivers door I get an immediate buzzzzz sound from the engine that can last 10 to 30 seconds or so. What is this???
I believe it is somehow associated with ignition issues This last winter (in Texas) I have had to push the start button sometimes several times before the engine would startup. I brought it into the dealer and left it overnight. Of course there were no problems when they started it the next day. Anyway, I have noticed a worsening of startup problems (none in the summer) along with an increase in this buzzzzz sound. Is it just my imagination?
My elantra has around 7000 miles on the odometer. I have noticed for a while that after sitting for a few hours or over night the engine has a ticking sound to it. The noise will last for a few minutes then goes away. I figured that the cold weather might have been the cause. Not it is almost summer and the noise is continuing. Im not sure if this is normal for these engines. but any other car i have had has not had an extended tick at startup.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2012 Hyundai Elantra with approximately 57k miles on it. Today my car started what sounds like a grinding noise when turned on. From a cold start it made no noise but, started when driving. I then stopped and the noise continued. When I drove away after stopping the noise amplified with the acceleration and I thought I smelled burning rubber. My best guess would be bad bearing and the belts burning?
View 13 RepliesIt's a 2012 Elantra that I got in June of last year. So warranty or anything isn't an issue.
This morning upon making sharper turns, I hear a sloshing sound of sorts coming from the passenger side of the dash. I've read that this might be a condenser issue, or something with the drainage and the AC. I'm not really sure. Before I take it over to Hyundai, I want to give it the chance to dry out or whatever if it is just some rain.
It's not leaking in the car or anything, I can just hear it.
I have a 2013 Elantra Limited. I notice that when going over bumps, the front of my car kind of makes a creaking noise. It almost sounds like you are walking on an old wooden floor.
View 17 RepliesI have a 2015 Elantra GL. These past couple weeks I have noticed the following:
1) After a long drive, there is a sort of "knocking" sound at the back of my car. It's not too loud but still noticeable. It seems to go back and forth from left to right to left to right, etc.
2) The sound ONLY appears at low speed (under 30km/hr or 20mph) AND when the ride gets a little bumpy (i.e. when I drive over the bump to get into my driveway). It doesn't take a big bump, just a little.
3) The sound ONLY appear after a long drive. When I start driving to work starting on my local roads at low speed over some bumps, there is no sound. But once I reach my work parking lot and I'm driving slowly and there's some minor bumps, I hear the sound. After work when I'm in the same parking lot going at the same low speed over the same bumps, there is no sound. Once I reach home and driving slowly over local road and over driveway bump, the sound appears.
The car is only at 5000km right now. I haven't gotten an oil change yet or any servicing on the car whatsoever. I will be bringing my car into the dealer for it's first oil change in a couple weeks and will ask them about the sound there. To summarize, the sound only appears once I've driven it for awhile (it never happens at start of drive) and if it's going low speed and if it gets slightly bumpy.
