I always have humidity marks on the black portion of my interior door handle area and it seems like the water that gets in the door doesn't flow out completely. It kinda pools at the bottom in between the 3 small holes at the inside bottom of the door. The drain holes are clean but it seems there is a lip the water gets caught on.
View 2 RepliesThe chrome film on my door handle is splitting and peeling (pictures below). Is there a way other than super glue to fix this. I know I'll have to replace the handle to properly fix this, but I just need a quick fix for now so it doesn't get any worse.

View 5 RepliesI am a proud owner of a 14' Elantra Sport MT. Did a quick research and didn't find anything that is relevant to my issue. The door handles on the front driver and passenger door panels creek whenever you grab them, whether it is to shut the door or just grab them and give a light squeeze. Definitely not something a new car should be doing.
Another thing, I bought this car down south and am driving it back up to the northeast and during my journey I noticed that the wiper cowl vibrates from the wind, this is very annoying when the radio is turned down. It doesn't present itself until you reach speeds in excess of 60mph. Currently, the car is averaging 38mpg highway!
I have a 2010 prius with a misty gray interior. Accidentally when getting out I scuffed the door and on another occasion I scuffed the plastic molding by the gas tank lever.
The scuffs are black marks and they bother me every time I look at them. Is there a way to get them out? I tried rubbing them out with some cleaner on a paper towel but no luck.

One small thing that's bothering me, though, is a door handle issue. I tend to open the car door for my girlfriend quite a bit and I've only recently noticed that her door is extremely easy to open. Very little force is needed to pull the door handle with only two fingers. The back doors are the same.
My driver side door is quite the opposite. I always need to pull much harder on that handle, and in some cases if I pull the wrong way I actually have to use force to open it. The only thing I can think of is that it's either just constructed differently as its on the driver door or that I may have actually damaged it a bit when I accidentally hit the lock button on the door as I was opening it. The door actually locked in mid-open and caught the door.
I plan on going to the dealer and testing some other Elantras to see if their driver doors require a bit of pull, and I'd like to hear if anyone else has noticed a difference in opening the driver door as opposed to the other doors? I feel like they should all be silky smooth and require no real effort to open. My driver door just doesn't "pop" open for me anymore.
1996 K2500 Sub. My driver's door inside handle broke. I can get just the handle, or the whole inside unit w/handle for about the same price. Any difference in installation? One easier than the other?
View 1 RepliesSo the driver door handle on the inside is no longer solid... it pulls out about 1/4 inch and pulls everything with it. Is this going to be a major adventure to fix (ie ripping the door apart?) or is it something pretty straight forward?
View 2 RepliesOn my passat, the right passenger door handle does not work from the inside. I recently had the window replaced on that door because window slipped.. But since i got the window fixed, the handle inside does not work properly. It opens the door, but you really have pull and push the door open. I only found one screw at the bottom of the panel inside to take it off, but the rest of the panel feels pretty tight, and i dont want to break anything either.

View 12 RepliesI'm having trouble figuring out how to remove the interior rear door handle from my 2009 Sonata. My wife scrapped the back door along a concrete parking post. I was able to find a replacement door in the same color, but the interior doesn't match. I'm able to get both door cards off but cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the inside door handle.
I have: removed the screw and slid the handle over to get it off the side of the door. Popped the two cables off the door housing and was able to remove the cable from the door handle connection. But for the lock switch mechanism, that appears to be encircled by plastic and I can't see a way to remove it without breaking the locking mechanism.
I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited and have noticed a rattle in the front driver's door area near the Dash. It's hard to pinpoint where exactly it is coming from. The rattle can be heard even on smoothish roads and sounds like a little screw or something else is loose or rubbing against something. I checked that sunglasses holder and made sure nothing was in there but the rattle is still there.
View 55 RepliesThe rear view mirror (inside) has black skid marks, lines, and dots and other crap under the mirror surface. It doesn't hinder visibility yet, but I wonder if there will be a recall in the future. Mirrors should have crystal clear visibility.
View 14 RepliesI picked up a really cheap Hyundai Elantra 2005 that the kid that owned it really beat up on. Right now I am trying to sort out the issues so that it can become my daily driver for the next few years. First issue, When I bought the car the driver's window was busted out and the outside latch will not open the door. The inside latch works just fine. What to check for to find out if it is the latch or one of the linkages? I don't mind replacing it but I would really like to know for sure before I do. I replaced the window by the way. I also need the weather strip on the outside of the car window as well.

The front passenger door inside handle is loose, making it harder to open when pulling the handle.
We just bought our 2008 Elantra. The door handle just fell off. I have a warranty and have been trying to get the dealership which has been futile. The handle is plastic. I am tempted to just glue it. This is not the greatest first problem to have right after buying the car and bein unable to reach the dealer.

It has been determined that the source of such a rattle may be the Tire Pressure Warning System (TPWS) antenna located above the headliner between the rear of the sliding roof opening and the top of the back glass.
Well, after a few months of frustration hearing a buzzing in the back seats, i notice this bulletin on the 07 ES and I've tested on my 08 car and it is the same, simply tapping on the roof liner or pulling it and releasing it makes a buzzing sound. Even when i tap on the glass roof, the buzzing sound is resonating. Would the dealer rectify this issue if my car is a 08 ? I'm still under warranty.
I had my '09 F-150 Super Crew lock punched out on driver side door. To prevent this from happening again, I am replacing that handle with a handle for the rear door that has NO lock. I will no longer have key access to the truck. I am also ordering a spare remote. Is there anything I should consider before following through with this decision? Why I shouldn't do this? Is this a common thing to do?

View 6 RepliesMy BP Prius is under 3500 miles for two months. I don't realize until this morning that paint is scratched like "cat nail whew". I'm the only driver with no long nails and never had that problem with other cars it at less 10 years older car.
