I seem to have a bit of condensation inside my headlights. Is this normal?... On a car that's not even a year old? Seems to only happen on days that are raining, very humid, or when I give it a wash. Basically anytime there's contact with water.

View 3 RepliesI have the Chinese LED-stripe headlights, and I've been getting condensation in them lately. The weather hasn't been particularly warm, cold, or humid lately, but it happens every time I use them. It does evaporate over time, but it is quite a bit of moisture when it occurs (definitely noticeable, and dripping down the entire front inside the housing). With winter coming, I'm worried about this continuing to happen and freezing, etc. Is there something I might have done wrong when I installed them? This is not a case of water getting into the light housings--it almost seems like I need to do something to vent them, however, to see if that prevents the issue.

View 2 RepliesBack in July of last year, I installed the OEM foglight kit and replaced the lightbulbs with a pair of yellow Luminics JDM 55w H11 bulbs.
A few months later when it would rain or snow, condensation began appearing on the inside of the foglight lens on both sides. It would burn off when I left the foglights on for a while, but would reappear shortly thereafter. The driver's side would generally stay clear most of the time but the passenger side would always have moisture on the inside.
Then, a few months ago, the driver's side bulb seemed to burn out. Today, when I took them apart to reinstall the clear lightbulbs, it turns out that fluid (it actually looked like windshield washer fluid) had gotten inside the connector and shorted it out, actually melting some of the plastic to the contact. It took a while, but I was able to scrape off enough of the plastic from the contact to get it to work with the JDM bulb again.
I just picked up my brand new 2010 Prius II tonight (8 miles on odo). I have a small issue though the headlights (both driver and passenger has moisture/condensation in the headlights) is this normal should I be worried? I'm hoping it will go away.
View 18 RepliesI've noticed that often in the morning, my Touareg has condensation forming on the inside of the front winshield. I don't drive the vehicle daily. I have looked for a moisture source inside of the vehicle but it is bone dry.
View 3 RepliesAs stated in the title I'm having condensation on the inside of the windshield, but I only notice it when I get off work and go out to start my car (I work second shift and get off at 11:30pm) but when i go out in the morning or afternoon I don't notice any. I pretty much roll everywhere with my windows up so I'm not getting rain in it other than when i open the doors to get in and out.

View 3 RepliesAbout 3 weeks ago I noticed my dear '93 Honda wagon with only 68,000 miles was developing lots of condensation on the inside windows. About a week ago I noticed that there was about half an inch of water on the passenger side in the front, back and a little in the well that holds the spare tire. I have contacted my mechanic and a leak specialist. The leak specialist said (without seeing the car) that there was more than one leak since water was appearing in all these areas. I thought it strange that all leaks would appear at one time. Also need to mention that about 3 weeks after I bought the car 18 years ago, I forgot to set the parking brake and it backed into a rock wall which damaged the passenger side of the wagon. That damage was repaired at the time. The windshield is also cracked but I can't imagine that would be the source of the problem. There is no water on the dash.

View 17 RepliesI bought my CW r32 yesterday(#2746) . When got home I noticed that I had a little condensation in both hid headlights. Is this normal or should I be worrying? Also, I don't no how to use my iPod when put in the arm rest dock. My dealer said to "put it in cd mode then plug in your ipod, then it should play". This didn't work for me. I also found a inch1/2 scratch on my left headlight.
View 9 RepliesI was changing my lights to led.. i finished the two lights in the passenger and the driver side and it worked... then I change the light in the vanity mirror, driver side to led but it doesn't turn on.. i switch the led to reverse side.. nothing happen.. I put back the old bulbs still wont turn on... then I tried to open the the two lights.. now they are not working... even the dome lights..

View 6 RepliesI was rear-ended this morning, and can't get into my trunk. Is there anyway to lower the seats from the inside of the cab to get my stuff out? It will probably be at least a week before it gets repaired, and I don't want to have to tie down my trunk.
I am impressed on how my vehicle handled the accident. It doesn't look bad, and I didn't feel much, but it tore up the whole rear end. At least $5k damage.
I went out of town for 10 days and left my car parked. When I returned the inside of the call smells like a dead animal. I keep my car clean and do not eat in it. My husband checked all over including underneath to see if there was something dead. He found nothing. Yesterday, I had to turn on the defrost setting for the windows due to condensation in the car. This is not normal for my climate right now. We are 70 degrees with little to no humidity. The cabin filter was changed 6 months ago.
We have tried airing it out for a 2 days, spraying Ozium and other sprays, but the smell persists.
2 days ago, with no warning, my 2011 Elantra Touring wouldn't start. Just wouldn't turn over.
I noticed a dash light with the symbol of a key inside a car was on. It would stay lit up at all times except during the start up attempt - even with the key out of the ignition.
I looked it up and have been reading about the immobilizer. Apparently this might be my trouble. Problem is, how to troubleshoot.
Here is what I have tried so far (turn-key ignition)
- verified car was in park.
- tried to start in neutral.
- jump started the battery, even though it didn't seem to be a battery issue.
- left key turned to start position for 15 minutes, then tried to start it. This was recommended in a thread on a different forum for a similar sounding problem.
Will try to post a video of the dash during a start attempt in a few minutes.
