Yesterday my rear driver side turn signal just stopped working on my 2013 elantra. I replaced the bulb and it still isnt working. The front driver side turn signal is flashing at hyper speed.
The passenger side front and back turn signals work fine. Im planning on bringing my car into tomorrow for an oil change and to get this checked out hopefully it isnt an expensive fix.
As the says I have a 1999 Yukon Denali that the Rear Brake and Turn signal on Drivers side are not working. Also brake light on trailer DOES work but not the turn signal on that side.
I tested the Tail light circuit by plugging it into the passenger side and it works so that rules out that. What wires to test under the dash to test the combo / multi switch?
Also the tail lights or park light do work (both top and middle bulb lights up when the vehicle is running) its just brighter filament does not light up when breaks are pressed or turn signal is on.
This issue came on suddenly. I unplugged the license plate lights- fuse still blew. I don't know where the wire harness is for this group of wires going to these lights to check for frayed or melted wires. I don't see any damage any where. I am severely limited for funds for a mechanic so I need to try and figure this out first myself. Looking for pictures of how I can traces the wires through the car?
View 1 RepliesI was on the way home tonight and I noticed the driver side HID headlight turn off after putting my turn signal on.
I have LED DRL fog lights installed and they're wired with no relay and plugged into the Engine Compartment fuse box. The installer connected them on the left side (where the wires come in, from the two black components by the air filter).
Could this wiring setup be interfering with the HID's?
My turn signal on the driver’s side isn’t working. It clicks quickly like when the bulb is out. The rear one on that side still works, but blinks quickly…which is normal when the front one isn’t working. It didn’t just stop working all at once. Over the course of the last year or more, it has gradually gone out--it would work for a few days and not for a while. A few months ago, it worked about half the time. Now it won’t ever work and I’m due for an inspection. Here is what I’ve determined so far:
It isn’t the bulb…I’ve tried a new bulb.
It isn’t the socket. I took the socket in my hand in the picture and switched it with the passenger side and the driver side still didn’t work and the passenger still did worked.
The plug that the socket goes into on the picture…I cleaned it good and used a little lubricant on it, but that didn’t work either. If that plug is bad, the local parts stores don’t carry it and can’t get it, so I'll have to go to the Ford House.
My drivers front signal does not work. its not the bulb. took headlight assembly out and then the passanger side did not work and the drivers side did. check passenger side. now it switched again. now drivers side is out and passenger side works. both parking lights work fine. no clue what's going on
View 2 RepliesI now have a 2002 Camry and the left rear turn signal has stopped working. When I put the signal on, it flashes about twice as fast inside and in the front, but nothing in the back. I replaced the bulb but it still didn't work. I'm going to switch the bulb here with the right one and see if it's still good just to be sure. Anyway, the rear left flasher doesn't work either. I've had turn signals be fuse related before but not when it's just one signal that's not working. Live in the city and driving without it is no good.
View 5 RepliesThis passenger side rear turn signal stopped working two weeks ago after a period of intermittent operation. All other lights work. I replaced the bulb and fuses. I am not an expert about auto electrical. The relay box is under the hood on the driver side. There is another fuse box under the driver side dash left of the steering column. Auto parts stores want to sell me a "flasher" that, well, I can't figure out where it goes. The "TNS relay" in the relay box is smaller than the flasher the parts stores are selling me. My little owner manual is not useful. Any theories about what is wrong? Wiring? Relay? Where does that flasher go? Somewhere under the dash?
View 2 Replies2013 f-250 crew cab short box, 6.2 gas with 48k miles. Right rear turn signal does not work...SOMETIMES. I took the brake light assembly off...bulb is good, turned on signal and the bulb will flash so I put it back together then drove a couple miles and then signal quits working again. I can't find any loose/corroded/bad wires at the bulb socket and I can't get the bulb to quit working when I have taillight assembly apart, (trying to replicate failure). There are never any blown fuses either.

The bulb turns on when on parking lights; it just won't blink.
I have a 2004 Sport Trac XLT (without sunroof). I recently noticed my rear driver side turn signal was out. Turns out i have quite a few cables corroded from within. The cables are warped together as one fat cable running from the front to the back along the driver side in a "tunnel".
The reason for corrosion seems to be that underneath the floor it's soaking wet. It's dryer towards the break and more wet closer to the mid console. (it may just dry quicker near the break.
The water does not smell of anything. We haven't had rain for a while and i would be surprised if it was rain that staid for so long. All in all that makes me suspect the AC.
I'd like to stop the leak and then replace the cables, at least the stretch where corrosion have occurred. How to troubleshoot this? I am using the car to commute so I can't rip it apart too much.
I just bought an 05 F250 XLT. I noticed tonight that the rear turn signals and brake lights dont work.
the front turn signals work fine, although they flash fast. I know that usually means a light on its way out. neither taillight flashes though, which puzzles me.
my second issue is that, of the 3 brake lights, only the high mounted light illuminates when I hit the brakes.

Last week wife's right rear turn signal/brake light stopped working. The left one flashes normally. The right tail light works fine which is a different bulb. I tried changing bulbs (didn't work).....tried a new socket with new and old bulb (didn't work). Could it be a relay? Or not relay as they would be both out (left and right)?
I looked at my trailering wiring plug down by bumper and the white wire with green stripe looks split a little towards the end. Could it be a bad ground or short in that wire? Would the trailering wiring have anything to do with it? I was going to try to replace the relay if I could find it, what is the part number for it.
My rear passengers side turn signal is not working. The bulb is lit up when i have my parking lights on so i know that th bulb is good. So my guess is that there is a voltage issue. I have searched the web for a wiring diagram and have come up empty handed.
View 2 Replies85 f150. My driver side brake light and turn signal in the back quit working. The tail light works tho which is a different filament. The bulb is good and I changed the flasher relay...the circle thing in the fuse panel. Everything else works just fine. looking for a starting point.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2006 F150 and the left rear turn signal and brake light has quit working. Also the license plate lights do not work. The cruise will disconnect when signalling a left turn. I have checked fuses and bulbs and the wiring/connector at the multifunction switch with no luck.

View 14 RepliesPicked up my brand new elantra last week, however alarm was not working properly. It arms ok (i.e., horn chirps after two clicks, lights flash etc)...but when we tried to test the alarm (as part of my delivery inspection), nothing happened. We tried opening door without key, opening from a half open shutter etc.
Dealer promised to resolve issue, they've been good so far, but it's worrying me a bit, brand new car, I shouldn't have to think of these issues and take my car and leave it in the dealer garage for a few days for them to diagnose this.
We have had our new 2013 Elantra GLS for one week. The last two days I have been hearing this pop noise on the drivers side. It does it after I turn left but not until the car has straightened up and has reached about 20 miles an hour. It does it only once but it does do it each time I start the car and make a left turn and get up to about 20 miles an hour. Our Sentra makes a noise like this but it is an engine component kicking in so it is normal.
The sound does not come from the wheel area so if this was a normal sound similar to what the Sentra does. The sound is more from the engine level on the drivers side.
I just got my 2013 Elantra in Pearl White GLS Preferred Package about a month ago, and since then the interior lights fuse has blown twice. The first time I took it back to the dealer and they replaced a fuse. It then worked for about a week or so and they're out again. Also, the passenger fog lamp keeps just blowing bulbs.

I could have sworn I have never heard this noise before (and it is noticeable), but the dealer says it is the relay and it is normal.
I only bring this up because in the Ford I have as a rental while the Elantra is fix makes no noise when you use the rear wiper.
