2012 Elantra GLS ... The windshield washer spray pattern is too low. The nozzles on the Elantra appear to be entirely plastic unlike the conventional ball which I can poke a needle in to adjust it. I ran the hand under the cowl cover and could not feel any kind of adjustment mechanism. How to adjust the nozzles to aim higher.
View 27 RepliesIs there a way to adjust the windshield washer sprayers to point them up higher on the windshield. I looked today and didn't really see any way to point them up more.? Mine probably hit the bottom 1/3 of the windshield and do not do that great of a job. Maybe I'm missing something?

It's clogged and I'd like to try and soak it in some stuff to dissolve the clog and/or replace it myself. The dealer was going to charge me ~$150 to do this and trying to see if I can do it myself.
View 5 RepliesI have an 09 Camry SE. My right windshield spray nozzle is not spraying, it's just flowing out. I ran a small wire down it and nothing changed. I called 2 dealers and looked up the part and there are 5 different angles listed the dealers said I had to remove it so they could match the angle for the pitch of the windshield. Seems ridiculous that they would not know,but the parts breakdown lists all 5.
View 4 RepliesThe windshield washers of 2014 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v) didn't work all winter if the temp was +20F or less. I'm using -30F or -40F washer fluid. I use the same fluid in my 1995 Previa, and its washers worked all winter. A friend has a 2014 Prius, which didn't have any washer problems.
I tried pouring warm water over the nozzles, but they're location makes it difficult to reach them. Is it the nozzles or is it the rubber hose that feeds them from the reservoir?

View 6 RepliesI own an Elantra GLS 2012, and starting a week ago, I noticed my windshield washer was coming out through the nozzles with low pressure (1/2 of the windshield). Yesterday one stopped working and the left nozzle is "spitting" (1/3 of the windshield).
I thought they are clogged and today I tried to unclog them using computer air cleaner, but air was coming out through the left nozzle with pressure and nothing through the right nozzle. When I tried to wash my windshield, no pressure on my right nozzle and low pressure on my left nozzle. Same as before.
I plugged off the tube from the hose connector under the hood, and if I pull back the control bar, I have a stream of washer liquid over 3m (10ft) long, but if I put my finger on the hose, I don't have pressure on the windshield washer.
My question is: the nozzles are clogged or the pump is dead?
I know the clogged nozzles are not under warranty, but what about the pump?
I have a 2005 Elantra and the fluid will not spray onto the windshield. The washer motor is good and the switch is new. What is the problem? Wipers work fine.
View 3 RepliesMy rear windshield washer has stopped working, does the MkVI have a separate pump for the front and rear washer fluid sprayers? My front sprayer is still working, fluid is full, and I don't see any VCDS codes relating to the rear windshield washer motor. Since I am approaching a wet season, it would be best if the rear washer worked. I am still under warranty but just wanted to know if there are two sprayer pumps on our cars.
FWIW, I have not had a problem with the rear washer dripping and no TSB have been performed on the rear washer.
We just purchased a used 2007 Elantra sedan. Noticed it was out of washer fluid when we got home. Went to fill it and as I was pouring in the washer fluid, I could hear it running onto garage floor.
When I looked underneath, I see there is a hole, 1 1/4" in diameter in the bottom of the tank. Obviously something was supposed to go in that hole. Low fluid sensor perhaps...even though I don't have a warning light indicator on my dash. The owners manual indicates that this light indicator on certain models where equipped.
Since my model is not equipped with this feature, is there a rubber plug or grommet that should plug up this hole?
I just picked up a 2014.5 Camry (my 1st Toyota) and how full the windshield washer reservoir should be at max level. Now hear me out before you fall off your chair from hysterical laughter, if I fill up the reservoir up to the lid like every other car I have owned, after a short drive it will go down and be below the filler neck, clear down under the fender even though I haven't sprayed the washer fluid.
I haven't seen any fluid dripping but I believe I have a leak. Sounds pretty cut and dry but I'm asking just incase Toyota has a weird fill level on the washer reservoir.

It can't be frozen because under the hood i removed hose from one connection and it is not spraying also when it is removed as i thought that the problem can be nozzles, but no. Or maybe is a pump problem? So we have two pumps on 2010 Prius for washing windows(one pump for front windows and one pump for rear windows? or there is a common one? View 2 RepliesWindow washer nozzle break? My passenger side broke last Friday and then today when inspecting the driver's side it broke in the exact same place. They broke near where the nozzle that is inserted into the hose takes a 90 degree turn up through the hood leaving parts of the nozzle in the hose. I was able to squeeze the rubber hose with pliers to break up the plastic nozzle so that it would fall out. Attempts to grab broken nozzle piece with needle nose pliers were unsuccessful. Of course they waited too break until 8 months after my warranty expired but not a big deal. 10 minute install. I got the last two that the dealer had in stock.

She said the Hyundai mechanic adjusted something in the clutch and her transmission became smooth again. What part needs to be adjusted? She doesn't know and I would definitely like to know because I know it is not normal.
View 4 RepliesI broke a needle inside one of the holes in one of the windshield nozzles. Call me ocd but it's really bugging me. I have to remove it somehow. I sprayed it with wd40 so it wouldn't get rusted in there. I tried a strong magnet but no go. How i can remove it.
View 10 RepliesGot a problem with my wifes 2016 Elantra... The washer fluid pump stopped working.
The wipers work, and their is no blockage in the fluid lines from the tank to the nozzles. I used my compressor to blow out the lines in both directions. I've done some research, and someone said if the wipers work its not a fuse issue.
I saw a video on you tube for an older Elantra, that showed the pump behind the headlight... Does that hold true for the 2016? And if so, how do I get the headlight assembly out?
