When Rolling Either Of The Front Windows Down For The First Time Of The Day, It Sounds Like The Window Glass Is "Sticking" To The Weatherstripping When Rolled Down. Hence The Cracking Sound, I Can Only Assume Something Is Loosening Up In The Door.

My two back windows would go down but not up. My passenger side was hesitant. My drivers side was fine. I purchased a new master switch for the drivers side. When I tested it, the three other windows worked fine, but the drivers side (front) would do nothing. So I ordered a replacement and plugged it in. The same thing. The three other windows work fine (up and down) but the drivers front does nothing. When I put the original master switch back in, the drivers front works, but the back windows go down but not up and the passenger front is hesitant.

So after I come to a full stop and then release the pedal to start moving again the front brakes make a rubbing noise that sounds like a "honk". Im not sure if this is a trait of Automatic cars as the car is trying to push foward on its own. My previous cars were all stick. My wifes car (Auto also) does not do this. Also the Auto Hold feature is very jarring when you step on the gas to go the car almost lurches foward as the brake disengages. Is it just my car or is there something that needs adjustment?

I have a 1999 f350 crew cab. There is a gray box with some wiring running to it and when the door is open I here a little cracking and popping sounds. It is between the steering wheel Column and the ashtray under the dash. I can hold it and feel it clicking and popping, What that is called, or how to get it out to replace it?

I was on my way to the hardware store today and when entering the parking lot I heard a scraping sounds coming from the front end. I parked and looked under the GT and did not see anything hanging, drove around the parking lot and heard it again. Does not matter straight line or turning, i did notice when I braked I could not hear it. What this could be ? I went out again later to try to pin point it but I am not able to hear it anymore. Just not sure if I should take it in or not.

The rear left window and front right windows do not roll down. I have replaced the master control assy. and door switches. I removed the panels and tested the motors with external voltage. +12 v rolls the window up, -12v rolls the window down. Tried the sw and windows only roll up. Master control did not work. Ohmed out wiring appeared to be fine.
After reading the manual it says that everything goes through a bcm, Body Control Module. The manual does not say where it is located. I'm staring to think the BCM or bad ground wire may be the problem. Cannot figure out where the negative voltage comes from.

I got a 09 Elantra and my rear windows will not roll up.. unless I use the switches in the rear doors. So, from the front I can roll them down but not up. if i need to roll them back up I have to get out open the rear door and use the switch in that door.
I am hoping it is the switch.. but which one? the one in the front doors. or the ones in the rear doors?

OK, all the cars/SUV's I have owned in the last 4 years had a great feature. If you held down the unlock button on the keyfob for a few seconds you could roll down the windows and open the sunroof.
A GREAT feature to let the heat out while you're approaching the car on a hot day or to just let fresh air on other days. Can it be done?

After not starting my car following several days of extreme cold, my battery died a couple of weeks ago, and after boosting the battery, I noticed a couple of electrical accessories (power windows, rear defrost, rear brake lights) are no longer working. I was told by a mechanic at the local Wal-Mart that it was possibly the main relay, which I replaced at the dealer, but that did not fix the issue. I've checked the individual fuses for these accessories, and all of them are OK. How to troubleshoot this?

2008 Hyundai Elantra, 2.0 it. We replaced a bad water pump, and timing belt while we were there. I followed directions found on multiple websites. We spun the crank shaft to the top dead center mark on the crank sprocket/engine block, and the cam sprocket / assignment mark. Then removed tensioner, and belt. Installed new belt and ensured alignment marks had not moved. Applied pressure to tensioner and tightened. Reassembled everything else. Car started with no problems, drive for about twenty minutes started making clicking sound from under the hood, we turned around to come back home and the car still making clicking sounds gradually started to loose power and speed until the engine stalled and would not restart. Trying to find out what could have happened.

How do I diagnose if I have an upper control arm problem?? hmr 1979 did a great job of reporting in great detail with pics, on how to replace a control arm.
My car is making creaky, creaky, sounds when I hit a bump on the passenger front corner. I have been thinking that the "top hat" mount to the strut was bad, but now hmr 1979 has me thinking that my upper control arm has a bad bushing. My front struts are originals with 91K on the odo. However, the struts still seem to perform well. Is there any sure fire way to learn if I have a bad bushing on the upper control arm??

I have a 2010 base blue. I have noticed a creaking noise somewhere in the front end with windows up when you turn the wheels left or right. It is barely noticeable but there none the less. I have tried pinpointing it and it seems to be outside the cabin but not at the wheels.

I don't have any kids and I just noticed my V8 had child safety windows (will not roll all the way down)... is there a way to make my rear windows roll all the way down? second, any finding on the squeaking noises and rattling noises in the T-reg?

Bought the wife's 2013 Elantra GL in March, it is North American built, and has only 4500 kms on it. Last week we noticed a couple cracks in the paint and it looks like the paint it wrinkling and therefore opening up at the crack. Both cracks are located in the exact same position on either side of the car, and the exact same. They are on the plastic bumper cover, where the bumper meets the quarter panel and tailight. Since the paint has migrated back, you can clearly see the black plastic underneath. Sent a text message to my service rep and he said it should be no problem to get it covered under warranty. Now, just need to make the time to get the car into the dealer...

I had recently blew a head gasket on this car due to my radiator cracking and i have had it fixed and it does not over heat nor does it leak water. and i honestly without exaggeration have changed about every censor on that car besides the mass airflow but i am currently having a problem when i accelerate it kind of chugs but does not die. it does not do this when i just idle forward or when i have the gas pressed lets say on a scale from 1-10 it would only chug when I am at like a 1-2 at most then after that its great no problems.

I have a lot of wind noise in my 2 front windows when driving highway speeds, no water leaks. I cannot find where it is coming from either, I assume it is either air rushing over the mirrors or thin glass. Sometimes it is worse than others, not sure if cross winds etc. Is that common in 2009 Sonata. My old 2003 Malibu, much quieter but mirrors were slightly more rounded if I remember.

Have a problem When i make a slight turn to the left sounds like the tire is rubbing the inner fender. Don't do it all the time. The tire is not rubbing.

I recently bought an'08 Base model. It is making a creaking noise in the front end on the left side either behind the wheel or under the motor. It only does it when taking off from a stop and/or turning mainly to the right during slow speed, seems to be when the body weight is shifting. To me it sounds as though something needs greased or maybe a strut.

Just like our fleet of 06' F-150's, my emblem on my 2011 F250 is starting to peel and bubble up on the front grill. Every 06' had their rear and front emblems replaced close to 3 times until we just gave up and lived with it. I thought Ford fixed this problem? Going to the dealer tomorrow to get a warranty repair.
