So I recently bought an '09 Elantra for 52K miles. Car's a beauty except the front bumper cover is loose under the headlight on the driver side(got it that way). The first two pics are from the driver side whereas the third shows it in comparison to the passenger (which is totally fine). The gap seems to be getting bigger ever so slightly. What would be the cheapest and easiest fix?
View 1 RepliesThe front of the rear bumper on the driver's side is loose from the main body. The clip on the bumper is ripped from where it tore. I've gone ahead and bought the clips and everything from Lexus near me, but need to know the best epoxy or glue to reconnect the clip area on the bumper so I can apply the clips.
Is the bumper on that spot (the back side of it, not the painted exterior, if that makes sense) fiberglass.
I have a 2012 SE v6 with 1600 miles on it. About a week ago, I noticed my bumper cover pulled away from the corner of the headlight and there was a noticeable gap. I pushed on it, and heard a click. The bumper stayed in place. After a couple days driving, it came loose again. I didnt touch it so the Service Writer would see it first hand. Of course, his first instinct was to puch on it, but I got loud quickly, so he kept his hands to himself, and heard me out. I knew if he clicked it back into place I would be SOL. He admitted something needed to be done, not just click it back.
When I picked it up, he said it was a known issue, and there is a TSB on it. He claimed they replaced a bracket. The invoice reads, "ADDED FELT TO TIGHTEN FIT". Yeah, Im sure that will hold just long enough for them to wash their hands of it.
I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla. There are two plastic covers on the undercarriage of the vehicle in the front.. The front driver's side is loose; the oil change told me the little clips are broken and they used a "strap" to hook it back up. Well, on the Fla turnpike, the strap lasted about 30 minutes
View 2 RepliesJust got the 2010 and put 100 miles on it and found the front bumper loose on the passenger side. Difficult to see but it looked loose right by the headlight housing, a little pull and it popped up. Looked like the fastener was never there.
View 14 RepliesI was driving and heard a noise. I immediately parked to the side and looked under and I noticed the thing was loose. My friend said the screws are missing.
Do I need to replace the whole thing? How much would it cost? Can I get the screws at a mechanic place?
Btw, I don't really wanna remove the whole thing. 99 Passat
2013 Prius IV.... I just noticed that my right side rear bumper cover has a 1/4 inch gap between the bumper and the quarter panel. I think it's from me sitting on the bumper while tying up my shoes or something. When I apply downward pressure on the rear bumper, the gap widens. The left side is tighter, but does gap out when downward pressure is applied. In any case, the gap is annoying.
View 19 RepliesSo I washed my car today.. was wiping it a little and noticed that the right side of front bumper was loose.. then a closer inspection showed that I can lift it! I didn't collide into anything whatsoever, maybe from speed bumps or potholes?

My car was driving fine earlier today. I have been hearing a knocking that sounds like it's coming from the front drivers side for awhile now. I have an appointment to get that checked out tomorrow. However, today I washed my car. I washed it by hand and didn't was the engine or spray the under carriage. About an hour after I washed it I got out on the road and it started violently shaking at about 45mph. Other than that it seems to be running fine. It's not missing or making any strange noises. Why it would start shaking like this? I also need to know if I should be able to drive 100 miles to the shop where it is under warranty?

There is a small oily leakage in the very front drivers side under the bumper. Its in front of the tire and as described under the bumper. I see some hoses in that area from underneath and a bit of oil-ly leakage from under the hood looking down into that same area.
So, what lurks behind the front bumper in front of the driver side front wheel? The oil leak seems like light oil, but ... are the oil cooler lines there?
Are the power steering lines there? Asking because I did recently have to fill the power steering reservoir from suddenly near dry (as far as I know) so that is a suspect. And yes, I filled it with the right stuff (pentosin).
My 2005 Prius has a slow fluid leak from the driver’s side front transmission cover. My dealer says their books do not provide a repair for this and recommend replacement of the hybrid transmission (~$2800).

View 5 RepliesI have a 02 passat 1.8t FWD, I jacked up the driver side front wheel (with all other three wheels on the ground), and tried to rotate the wheel front side to side, I notice that the wheel actually rotates quite a bit. I wonder what might be causing this problem. I assume that when the car is parked and all other three wheels are on the ground, I am not supposed to be able to rotate the wheel at all.

View 7 RepliesI have an oil leak on a 04 f250 6.0 stock. It has 292000 miles on her. It started as a few drips on the pavement about the size of a quarter and now has escalated to a steady trickle. It's on the driver's side in front of engine running down the corner of the block and dripping off the oil pan. I pulled intake plenum and everything and I thought it was coming out of the valve cover but now it looks like its just under the valve cover. It looks like its coming out of the front corner of the head. Its wet there and looks wet around the glow plugs. I cant run it now as I've drained the oil and coolant. I don't have a gauge or anything and its plain stock.

View 1 RepliesI just picked up my new 2011 last night. Noticed today it looks like the corner of the rear bumper on the passenger side is not flush with the car and seems loose. Its not to noticeable but when compared with the driver side there is definitely a difference.
