Elantra GD (2013+) :: Disable High Beam DRL?

Is there a way to easily disable the high beam DRL on the GT? Last summer I installed the i30 fog lights with DRL built into them and really have no reason to have the high beam DRL not to mention the partially lit halogen high beam looks like garbage in my opinion. Something a little better looking than a partially lit halogen?

Elantra GD (2013+) :: Climate Control - How To Disable Automatic AC On / Off

I have an Elantra GT SE with automatic climate control. I would like to know if there is a way to disable the automatic A/C on/off with our system. The problem is that even if the air is cooler outside, the air conditioning is automatically turned on and the fuel economy drops. (I know that we can do this for the base model (to turn off air conditioning while using the defroster).

Golf mk7 2013 ... All of a sudden I lost the highbeam. Highbeam "flash" still works, but not constant high beam.

Bulbs? Are they separate between flash and constant?

Accent RB (2012+) :: 2013 - Location Of Correct High Beam Wire

I have a 2013 Accent and have installing driving lights. I am looking for the correct high beam wire on the driver's side on the headlight assembly. I will then run this to a relay so that when I turn on my highs, the driving lights will come on. I have tried to locate the correct wire but the one wire that is hot when the highs are on, is still hot when the car is off as well as the lights.

Lexus RC F 2015+ :: Low-beam Triple LED Headlights Aimed Way Too Low But High-beam Okay

My car is fully stock, with all options available to me (cold weather package not available here). The low-beam triple-LED headlights are aimed way too low compared to all my previous cars, and where they should be. BUT high-beam is aimed properly. So if I adjust the low-beams up, my high-beams might end up lighting up the trees, not the road.

If adjust the headlights up on a fully stock car (not lowered at the front)? Are the high beams still lighting up the road fine? And if you can be specific as the number of turns on the screwdriver, it'd be good too to have an initial adjustment reference.

Passat (B6) :: 2007 1.8T - Low Beam On Passenger Side Not Working But High Beam Does

This morning a dash light informed me a headlight bulb was out. It was my DTR light on the passenger side.

I purchased Sylvania H7 high intensity, installed it and it failed to work properly. Daytime light on only drivers side works.

High Beam on , both lights works.

I checked my manual and it said to check fuse in the 5 slot on the driver side dash/door panel and there actually is no fuse in there. I checked the driver side and there was no fuse there either.

I replaced my driver side bulb last year and it took 5 mins....i am already 4 hours into this!

Subaru - Legacy :: 1996 - High Beam Is Dimmer Than Low Beam In One Headlight

I drive a 96 Subaru Legacy. What does it mean when one of the high beams is dimmer (less light output) than the low beam? I am using a brand-new bulb. It's not an adjustment issue because I was looking at the bulb when it was outside of the housing and it clearly gets dimmer when you switch to brights. However, they are equally bright when on low-beam, so I don't think its just a crossed wire.

Elantra GD (2013+) :: RPMs Too High - Cannot Shift Into 1st Gear

Purchased my 2013 Elantra GT a few months ago and have been having a problem that had stumped everyone at the dealership. Thought I'd see who else is having it and what the thoughts are. To start, this is a 6SPD Manual Transmission.

Problem: Say you're at a stop and begin accelerating in 1st gear and then shift into neutral because you have to come to a stop again. When operating normally, the RPMs immediately wind down to idle. Well for me, about 15% of the time or more, the RPMs will take up to 10-15 seconds to wind down to idle. During this time, you cannot really shift into 1st gear because the RPM are too high.

The dealership has been working on this issue since last month. They replaced some parts and it is still doing it. They got diagnostic data and told me the throttle was sticking. No one could figure it out. Engineers got involved from regional, and it got pretty heavy as far as time. After several attempts at figuring out the problem and replacing things (which didn't resolve the issue), the engineers drove another new GT and found it was also doing it. So all of a sudden they said "it's normal" and closed the case.

Chances are, if other new ones are doing it, so is yours. I got second opinions from other auto shops who said it is not at all normal and that there may be a defect in the design. I've owned 4 Manual Transmission cars and I have never seen this before. If you're curious and have the 6spd manual version of this car, the easiest and quickest way to see this happen is accelerate in 1st gear to about 4000RPM and shift into neutral. Eventually, it'll get stuck and take a significantly longer time for the RPMs to return to idle. Usually when it finally happens, it'll keep doing it for several subsequent acceleration cycles.

Elantra GD (2013+) :: Spoiler High Stop Brake Light Has Heavy Condensation

Noticed water droplets or heavy condensation in their high stop brake light (2015 model)?

I've noticed a small crack. The crack seems internal and not completely through so I don't think that is the reason. There also seems to be a vent around the water washer nozzle which should allow the light to dry out. It just seems to be taking days! Do that gap around the washer nozzle is intact a vent or are theses lights sealed. My one is the LED version.

Elantra GD (2013+) :: Clunking Noise Coming From Steering Area / High Pitch Squeak When Fan Turned On

I've been noticing some new noises in my Elantra in the last couple of months.

First, there's a clunking noise that sounds like it's coming from the steering area. It usually happens when I back up and rotate the steering wheel, like when I back out of my parking spot. More often it's in the morning.

Second, when I turn the fan on there is a high pitched squeal. If you turn the fan off you can hear the squeal more clearly for a moment as the fans die down. This one only started happening in the last couple of weeks.

I guess I'll have to take it in and get them to take a look. Last year it was a squeaking in the pano roof which only happened when it was hot out. They seemed to have lessened it but it wasn't gone completely.

I installed an aftermarket HID's on my 06 B6 2.0T, used VAG-COM to disabled DRL's. They work great no issue, expect when I use my high beam.....both HID's go out and I get warning light/message on the dash. I can get them to come back on by turning the lights off and back on.

My right sided high beam stopped working and my dash "bulb" warning light is on. Low beams working normally and still swivel around on startup and when turning. Is there actually a separate bulb for the high beams? I ask because when you flick on the high beams I hear mechanical movement inside the headlight housing, making me think high beams may be just a redirecting of the light. Having computer issues so haven't tried VAGcom yet. Also haven't checked fuses...

I'm doing a project with my headlights & wanted to disable my dtrls so I can wire my led's to the parking light's so they are on when the parking lights are turned on, these will be on during the day with the parking lights. So it's not like I'm not going to have no DTRL 's the led idea I'm doing will be plenty bright to use as visible dtl's, I hate the old dull yellowish colour so can't wait to get this done so I don't have to always turn on my hids to hide the yellow!
