I have an Elantra GT SE with automatic climate control. I would like to know if there is a way to disable the automatic A/C on/off with our system. The problem is that even if the air is cooler outside, the air conditioning is automatically turned on and the fuel economy drops. (I know that we can do this for the base model (to turn off air conditioning while using the defroster).

View 7 RepliesI need to remove the automatic climate control module on my Touareg 2004, but I can't seem to get it to release. I have removed the radio and the metal frame to which it attaches. I have also disconnected all the electrical connectors from the climate control unit. Still no luck. The climate control unit doesn't move up, and when I try to pull it towards me it appears to be locked by something as it only comes out a tiny little bit.

View 2 RepliesRecently noticed that the automatic climate control on my 2006 Sonata stopped working. The temperature readout still shows desired interior temperature but nothing happens when dial is turned all the way up or down. When in manual mode, the heater fan will adjust faster or slower when dial is turned so I still get heat/ac but only by dialing manually. If I switch to automatic mode, the fan will operate in whatever setting it was in when in manual mode. What part do I need to replace in all likelihood and how hard is it to replace?

View 18 Repliesi have a 01 b5 GLX 2.8L with the automatic climate control, well on occasion my temp will be reading fine than all the sudden drop to -36 degrees in 4 degree increments. when this happens my ac thinks its cold outside so it stops blowing cold air and blows hot air. i have to let the car sit with the ignition off for 15 min before it will reset. Is it my temp sensor that's bad and if so where is it located at?

View 11 RepliesI purchased an '07 Elantra used about six months ago. Ever since I bought it, an issue with the climate control would pop up every few weeks.
Here's the issue: I'll hear a "click" under the passenger glove compartment, then the climate control would turn off. By "turn off", I mean if I have it on heat, then the heat would turn off. If I have it on AC, then the AC would turn off (including the little green AC light) and I get hot air (not ambient air from outside, but *hot* air). It turns off... then it turns back on. Then maybe a few seconds later it will do it again. Sometimes it turns off for a few seconds, sometimes it turns off for less than a second... for example... AC is on, blowing cold air... *click* :hot air: *click* back to cold air... a few seconds later, same thing happens.
The clicks seem completely random, and not triggered by any events, such as going over bumps in the road.
I have a 2004 Hyundai Elantra GT and the climate control lights went out. I need 3 bulbs but can't find the right part # One I was giving is 97269 light and socket. Like to put in LED if Possible but can't find what # will work. dunno what T it is in LED but the bulb is very small. Here is a pic of the bulb I need....
View 4 RepliesI have just purchased a 2013 Passat, SEL Premium. In my GTI, I could disable traction control with the "ESR off" button. I do not see anything like that on the display. Is this a menu function somewhere? While I do not need it all the time, when we do get deep snow, the traction control needs to be disabled.

Last summer I installed the i30 fog lights with DRL built into them and really have no reason to have the high beam DRL not to mention the partially lit halogen high beam looks like garbage in my opinion. Something a little better looking than a partially lit halogen?
View 7 RepliesI turned on the climate control this morning when I started the car and tried to change the temperature, then for some reason until the car was warmed up the climate control went to lo and seemed like it was locked there.
Once I the car got warmed up, the climate control worked was normal. It seemed like the increase/decrease controls were locked.
I just bought a 2005 Elantra GT 5 speed. Nice car but the dash lights (including the radio and climate control) don't work. All fuses are good the rheostat (dimmer) is fine. Checked the continuity from the dimmer to the back of the dash instrument panel all checked OK. Light bulbs are good.
Basically it appears that I am getting power to the panel lights, yet they don't work. The radio appears to be stock with a factory plug. All other lights and electrical gadgets work fine. I can not find a schematic to check grounding.
For the 4th time now my cruise control doesn't come on (had the car almost 4 months, with 6500 miles). The main "cruise" light comes on, but when I hit the "set" button nothing happens.
All except one time I had to remove the key before it would work again. One time I kept trying the "set" button and it finally worked. It's so infrequent, they'll never be able to recreate at the dealership. Not sure if I should just try to report it for documentation purposes, so if it happens to be permanent after warrantee expires hopefully it will be covered.
Back in the day, cruise was controlled by vacuum pressure but I don't know if that's the case any longer.
I have 2013 Hyundai Elantra GL which is not even 2 years old. a month ago I took my car for auto detailing to a cheap place to save some money. I noticed that after the auto detailing some of the buttons would not work on the steering wheel and the radio would turn on and off by itself. I also could not turn on the front seat heating ( which resolved by itself).
I also had to change the rear routers and front break pads due to pass out of province inspection in Edmonton. Yesterday the ESC started blinking and the car would not pick up any speed above 60 km/hr. This issue was resolved in the morning by turning the ESC off.
I took my family and took the highway and the issue started again, I turned the ESC again as soon as I pushed the breaks a bit , the system JAMMED my breaks ( THIS WAS SO SCARY) considering I was at 100 km/hr and my wife and 3 kids were with me.
I called the dealer and dropping the car off but I thought people should know of this issue , the car steered right and left and handling it was so hard. My family is so scared to even sit in this car anymore.
I have a 2013 elantra gt. Recently my steering wheel controls just stopped working, I'm over miles on the warranty so if I take it to the dealer it'll cost a fortune. I looked through the manual to see if I can find what fuse the controls would be on but I can't seem to figure it out. I'm hoping it's just a fuse issue not electrical. How to fix it.. My ocd is kicking in cause I can't change the trip back to miles to empty. What fuses to check. My next idea was to beat up the steering wheel...
