The rear of the drivers side front seat in my car has come undone! How that happened, but the top two clips are busted, and it's hanging off the back of the seat, still attached by the bottom two clips. Looks like some plastic snaps on the top have broken.

I need to replace my drivers seat because of a broken seat mount.
I found a used seat on eBay but there is a rip in the seat cushion. If I bought the seat, can if just swap the seat cushion with my old seat? If so, how difficult would that be to do?
My drivers side seat is loose as in it rocks back and forward when I accelerate or brake. I have checked all 4 bolts they are all tight. I can't explain what i see (perhaps I can take a picture or video) but something under the seat looks irregular as in it's moving and shouldn't be. I have ECP but Lexus wants to charge $140 just to look and see if it's covered under warranty.
View 2 RepliesI have a 1998 Volkswagen Cabrio GLS 4Cyl2.0L. the wheel that raises and lowers the back of the seat has come out. The small plastic interior part appears to have snapped. Is there a way to order a replacement part and replace this myself?
View 4 RepliesThe headrest of back seat will bend over when fold down the seat. But one of the headrests can't go back to original up position. The dealer has adjusted the cable but this just temporarily fixed the problem. The problem is back again. I will go back to dealer but can they really fix it? Should I ask for a replacement of the whole seat?
View 1 RepliesI was installing my fk streetlines yesterday and when I was taking the strut out I must of let the knuckle sag to close to the ground. This caused the outer cv boot to stretch and pop out. Do I need an entire new cv boot? Or can I just slide it back on?
View 4 RepliesI collapsed the rear seats this morning, loaded the Treg up with stuff (nothing too heavy) and drove 200 miles. Got home, unloaded stuff and then tried to put the seats back up. The center seat belt is integrated into the passenger side 60% folding seat. But for some reason it's now "locked" as the belts do when the car is in an accident.
Since the belt is tight as it is in the lowered position, it will not allow me to lift up the back portion of the seat. After looking at it in the somewhat narrow view I have from between the floor and the lowered back rest, I can see that when I try to lift the back rest, the belt needs to slack some to allow the seat back to go all the way up. But since it catches, it only allow the seat back to raise about 6" before it's too tight to raise the seat back anymore.
I looked at the mounting bolts for the bottom portion of the belt in the space I can see and I see a 12 point star pattern bolt (not sure of proper name). With my Passat, I was able to find a suitable allen wrench that fits in the 12 point star pattern bolt that controls the back door catch for adjustment purposes. But with this one, I tried both metric and SAE and neither has a close enough match.
The belt locking mechanism allows for about 1" of belt travel before it locks. I've jiggled with the belt trying to get the mechanism to unlock so I don't have to remove the belt anchor point on the floor of the car (which I don't have the right wrench for). Anything I can do with the belt? Or do I just go after getting the right wrench and undoing the anchor to allow more belt slack to reset the belt?
My daughter dropped something in the seat belt hole in the back seat. I have forgotten, if I ever knew, how to lift up the back seat in the Phaeton?

Tried pulling it up but won't come up or anything. Can't see any screws...they are leather seats, afraid of pulling it harder and breaking something.

My follow up question is what the h ell do I do with my old seats? Is there even demand on Craigslist for that stuff? They're power and in good condition.
My passenger seat doesn't spring back when I recline it. The car is 15-months old?

I have been trying to remove the back seat but it has 2 locking clicks; one one each side than I can not unlock. The clicks on front were easy to pop but this one on the side does not.
Try setting your fader entirely to the back speakers and tell me if the sound coming out is at all full/complete. I can hardly hear anything coming from the back.

I looked in the archives and found a thread saying you just pull up on the bottom. I have pulled up on the bottom of the seat so hard that I'm worried that I will break it. I still can't get it out. View 11 RepliesI mounted my XM antenna and got in around the window rubber into the trunk. I then pulled the side panel and went in thru what I think is what the dealer told me a pass thru hole. There is a triangle shaped hole that lines up with the center of the rear headrest, I rolled up my wires and put them thru.
I can't feel the wires when I shove my hand thru the crack in the upper/lower rear seat, so I assume that I need to pull the rear seat bottom. I did a search and saw to push in and pull up on the seat base, so far no good. The outer corner of the seat is pretty loose, but nothing gives me access to the wires that I shoved thru.
I have a question as to the sc430 reclining position.. my Sc430 will not recline far back as I would like for my normal driving position.. My GS300 reclines far back as I want.
