My 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan's most recent problem has baffled 2 garages so far. It is now in a 3rd one that specializes in auto electric issues. When I turn on the left signal it flashes a few times then the RIGHT side starts to flash. When I turn the right signal on you got it the LEFT side flashes! I installed a new multi function switch and NO CHANGE!
View 6 RepliesI have a 97 Buick Regal with turn signal issues. The left side will not flash but stays lit and the right side flashes fast. I have the problem isolated to the Daytime Running Light Module. (replaced turn signal stalk, flasher and bulbs). I ran a jumper wire bypassing the module and everything works as it should. Do I need to replace this module, or can I simply bypass it without it messing anything else up. I don't want my horn going off when I change the station on the radio.

What to check and how to check/ replace parts I need to get it working again is there a flasher inside the steering column. or is there just a relay on the side where the fuses are ?

View 8 RepliesI have an odd issue. I bought my car used from the dealer. The fuel pump was replaced last December, as well as had an oil change. The fuel pump died right after the oil change but are seemingly unrelated since the pump was bad when i bought it. After the pump was replaced my van stated acting up over the next couple days. The fuel gauge would dance randomly. That has since settled down. Now when i make left turns, the rpms drop and i have to pump the had to get it going again or else it completely stalls out in the middle of an intersection. .. it had been steadily getting more frequent and only on left turns. Right turns runs fine.

View 3 RepliesMy left rear turn signal is out, the front works but blinks rapidly. The right sides work normal no rapid blink. New bulbs on left side did not fix problem. Could this be a flasher issue or is this an open circuit. Don't even know where to begin testing wires if this is the case.

View 4 RepliesToday I noticed a knocking sound coming from what sounds like the front left (drivers side). When I accelerate and when I brake the sound stops. The sound also stops when I am going around a bend in the road as well as when I change lanes. When I am turning a corner I do not hear the sound.

View 6 RepliesMy Neon has this strange problem and I can't figure it out neither can my mechanic. Mainly when I'm making a left hand turn there is a knock sound underneath the car, like I can almost feel something jerking up underneath my pedals. And then after making the left hand turn and then accelerating... my car would almost feel like it was stuck to the left and jerk itself straight again.
NOTE: I have replaced/checked the Lateral and Radius Bushings, Control Arm Bushings, Sway Bar and I also recently got new rims and tires which at that point I got an alignment. But nothing has worked so far and I'm at a loss.
Is there a way to make the running lights flash yellow for signaling a turn like many other makes and models? Would it require aftermarket lights? If I wasn't mistaken, I think I saw an RC doing this today.
Also if this is a thing does that mean I could get the amber out of the headlight? My car is 2015, if that makes a difference.
We have a 2015 Sonata 2.4 Sport that has developed an intermittent turn signal problem. When the left turn signal is turned on, the right signal will blink. When the right signal is turned on, nothing blinks. A new symptom that recently started is sometimes neither turn signal will turn on regardless of the position of the turn signal stalk. I managed to get the car to dealer #1 while the LEFT=RIGHT & RIGHT=NOTHING issue was happening but while troubleshooting it, they ran across an inactivated aftermarket alarm system that dealer #2 that sold me the car had installed. I guess the alarm they install is so cheap, it's not even worth removing if they are unsuccessful in upselling you at the time of purchase.
Since dealer #1 would not troubleshoot any further unless the alarm was removed, I retrieved the car and took it back to the original dealer #2 I bought it from. They removed the alarm and the turn signals started working again, however, this lasted about 2 weeks before the symptoms returned. I booked an appointment at the dealer #1 to bring the car in & half way during the drive there, the turn signals started working again. With nothing to show them, I didn't drop off the car. Now the problem is back. Since it tends to come and go, I have try and time when I can drop the car off so it's happening when they get it.
I recently just purchased my 2010 Prius and the first mod I did was add new projectors/HID's. Upon ordering this kit I did not get the relay harness.
I also would like to add I drove my car around with my headlights out to see if a bulb out warning would come on and nothing. Also, if we add LED's to turn signals will this create a hyper flash?
Any way to get this on the V? I had this on my bimmer and was really useful.. lane change, merges etc.
View 3 RepliesI am having an electrical problem with my front right turn signal I have not been able to chase down.
The symptoms are when the headlights are on, either manually or automatically from the daylight sensor, the front right turn signal will not flash, and I get the double speed clicking as if there were a burned out bulb. However, when it is daylight out and the headlights are in daytime running light mode, the turn signal works fine, 95% of the time. Occasionally when the headlights are off the turn signal will not work either.
I have replaced the headlights casing and bulbs, and tried rebuilding the pig tail harness as well.
My 1996 GMC Sonoma's turn signals don't flash. The signal bulbs do come on when I flip the switch and I can simulate a turning signal by clicking the switch up and down (which doesn't make me feel silly at all, btw). All six bulbs appear to be working and I can't find any blown fuses. I have also replaced the multifunction switch (which is what two different mechanics told me needed to be done).
View 5 RepliesI have a 2012 limited last night while driving when I would turn my turn signal on the headlights would flash off and back on. I tried it a few more times and it did this quite a bit. I do have HID lights which I have had for about a year now but never had an issue before.
View 8 RepliesI have an 02 DGC with 187K miles. 3.8L There has never been any work done on engine or trans. We do regular oil changes and I just had a complete scheduled maintenance overhaul done about a year ago, including the trans. And as a matter of full disclosure, my wife and I are prob not considered "easy" drivers.
A few weeks ago, when I put the van in D, it won't engage. No problem with R, just D. After a few minutes it engages and off I go. If I warm the car up first, this does not happen either. And it won't happen the rest of the day. The only other "funny" thing it is doing is, when I slow down, there is a definite movement or catch as it shifts down around 20-30mph. It feels as though the gears are having trouble downshifting.
I took it to a mechanic and he said the life span on this trans is about 180K and so I need a new one. Does that sound correct?
I have a 72 F250. When I put the left turn signal on and apply the brakes, the signal stops blinking. I checked the bulb and it was fine. What is the likely cause?
