I have a 2010 toyota corolla that was purchased new. I would like to replace the car audio with a unit that has bluetooth for my phone. Is there a market for old stereos? Where's the best place to sell them?
View 1 RepliesHave a 2010 Matrix with the blulogic added by the dealer, has worked fine till last week when all sound cut out. Radio lights, shows station, volume, i even get sound for 5 seconds when starting, then nothing. If I play music thru my iPhone, it works perfect. What changed, seems like a setting of some sort?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2013 Corolla LE . I have Entune. The radio works but my Bluetooth, and navigation are not connecting. I took it to Toyota Glendale and they said a new radio required without connecting it to a computer to check what's really going on.

View 6 RepliesWe have a 2010 corolla that lost its audio but comes back if you slam the door. Does not seem to be a problem with the HU. This is a factory unit. I am thinking it has an amp somewhere but I can not find where it is. I can beat on the radio itself with no results so I know the bad connection is not there.
View 2 RepliesI have really driven my Corolla until the stereo system stopped working a month old. The audio just stopped during one rainy day when I was playing a CD.
The stereo unit appears still functioning and I was able to take the stereo out and un-plug/re-plug in the 4 wires connectors in the back. A couple of times, by doing this, the audio came back for 10~15 minutes and then went silent after that.
So, what could be the cause of the issues? Could it be there some short in the wiring? How would trouble shoot this issue further?
After installing a new audio system to my corolla (front/rear speakers, amp) all of my power windows stopped working. None of the controls from any of the doors will work. What could be the problem? A blown fuse perhaps?
View 4 Replies2013 F-250. Sync. No navigation. I am able to pair my Android cell phone to the truck and all works fine. Can send and receive calls using the voice commands etc. I am also able to play music from my bluetooth enabled LG V10 android cell phone. When I start the truck, it automatically detects my cell phone, connects to it and begins playing music from my cell phone through the truck stereo. And therein lies the problem.
My question is, is there a way to tell the truck to go ahead and connect to the cell phone, but don't start playing music. In other words, I don't want the truck to launch the music player on my cell phone. I always have to either turn off the player on my cell phone or give the "pause" command through bluetooth audio.
When I connect a phone to my wife's Prius it pairs easily enough. The problem is, each time i start the car, it finds the phone and decides to tell the phone to start streaming music.
View 5 RepliesI noticed that when I active BT on my phone it connects to my cars phone BT automatically. But has a harder time when I try to connect to the portable audio player to stream music. I have to turn off the BT on my phone and turn it back on and then hit the "connect" button for the audio player and it works. Then I have to go back to the phone screen and hit connect again.
View 6 RepliesWhen I am listening to songs from iPhone there are buttons on my head unit (C2 radio NOT nav system) for play/pause, fwd, rewind BUT the rewind and fwd buttons only forward through the song it's playing (like you used to be able to do with cassette tapes) and it does NOT skip to the next song. How stupid is that? I have never seen a digital audio player that did this, the fwd/rewind always skip back a song or fwd a song BUT the prius head unit only skips through the song itself.

View 2 RepliesEverytime, I get into my V I play my various podcast (via iPhone). However, its takes about a minute (as compared to my wife's RX which connects instantaneously). Why it takes such a long time? Bluetooth is always on and its be "paired".
Also, when I turn off audio, the screen simply shows blue screen with "audio off". Is there a way that I can always default to the map screen instead of going to apps --> maps --> show map? Not a biggie, but a nice to have for me.

View 1 RepliesSo I want to disable the ABS on my Corolla. I was wondering if I could pull the fuse in my bonnet to disable the ABS and if I were to do so which fuse would I pull.
I think if I were to pull the fuse from the interior, the other car features that are tied into the fuse wouldn't work.
If I can't pull the fuse in the bonnet, what are the other ways I could disable ABS? I read that removing the relay is an option.
Also is there anything I should know if I were to reactivate ABS? For instance, would the ABS light be off when I presumably reactivate it or do I need to perform some extra steps to remove the ABS light?
My 09 corolla has a whine at around 35-50 mph it does sound like its rpm related. When i let off the throttle it isn't as loud.

I was wondering would the 2.4 2az-fe fit in to my 1.8 corolla I want to get a bare block or blown engine and build it up and turbo it and then put it into my corolla. Would the 2.4 bolt up in place of the 1.8 and if so where I can get a bare block or a complete engine?

The Bluetooth is connected fine and calling still works but when I play music the screen shows that the music is playing but I get no sound from my speakers. I've tried resetting my phone and turned the car off and on to no avail.

I bought a cheap alternative bluetooth receiver at radio shack to try to create a workaround and it synced up perfectly. So, I believe it has something to do with the car BT. How to get it to work right?
09 le 1.8 135k miles. Had serpentine belt break while driving home, pulled over, had car pulled in on a trailer. Pulled old belt and found water pump was bad along with belt broken. replaced both, car would fire off as should, but would still run hot while leaving parked running. pulled thermostat, found it would not open until about 15 degrees above opening temp. replaced thermostat, now car will turn but won't start.
Disconnected battery to try and clear any codes that would prevent it from starting, still won't start. have had to charge battery a couple times so wondering if it's the battery not having enough charge to start car up? i wouldn't think so, and it doesn't make sense for it to be plugs since it was starting up without a problem before changing thermostat.
