Where the fuel pump relay is in Corolla 2010 le?

View 8 RepliesAlright so I have an 09 Corolla sport and cannot find the traction control button. I feel extremely stupid but I just can't find it..
View 2 RepliesI am finding the physical location of the alarm speaker that beeps at the driver in the 2009 Corolla. I'd like to know because I want to rip the thing out. I don't need a device annoying me while I'm driving or just listening to music with the door open . I've partially taken apart my dash and could not locate the speaker.
View 10 RepliesI just bought a 2010 corolla xrs. I'm wondering what type of fuel it actually requires. The manual said 87+ octane but everywhere that I read online is saying premium is the way to go for max performance. Is this true??
View 4 RepliesI recently bought a 09 corolla le and when the car is at 55-70 mph and probably other times too, a clicking sound starts. It sounds like a relay picking up and dropping out. So at this speed if I lift my foot it stops or decreases in frequency. When I press accelerator it increases in frequency.
It sounds like it is coming from passenger kick panel or behind glove box. I looked behind kick panel and did not see any relays. I could've over looked it.
There's a lot going on behind the glove box but didn't really see many if any relays. One thing that got my attention was a white cube with what may be a red led at the top of the dash behind the glove box. I also have not taken the time to drive and investigate.
I bought a brand new 2013 Corolla S just 10 days ago. Everything seemed to be working great and I was really enjoying my car, until yesterday when we had a slight drizzle. I put my wipers into intermittent mode, and immediately noticed an audible "click" sound similar to that of the turn signals.
I was quite freaked out at first, so after parking my car I investigated a bit and found the noise was coming from the dash rather than from the wipers. After a few hours of digging around on the Internet, I'm 95% certain it's coming from the wiper relay, and that this is supposed to be "normal".
This is bugging the hell out of me, so my question is, if you can replace just the wiper relay, or would you have to replace the entire stalk/motor assembly? At this point I actually don't mind shelving out $200 if it means I can get some peace of mind, literally.
Which reminds me, if say you could get an OEM (or an ever better aftermarket) wiper relay, and you went to a mechanic to have it installed, would that void the warranty?
I understand there's variations and tolerances exist in manufacturing, but you'd think Toyota would've gotten something as simple as a wiper relay figured out! The 2013 Corolla S I rented for 3 months never had this issue, nor did my mom's 2005 Corolla, or my dad's 2011 RAV4. So why my car?
I have a 2013 f150 & the fuel pump relay fuse burnt out. I unhooked the battery cable "wasn't thinking" & took the fuse out & replaced it. Now my truck wont get over 3000 rpms & is driving like i got bad fuel or something. & now its throwing codes about my trac & I don't know why. Just from unhooking the battery cable & hooking it back up. What it is??
View 7 RepliesSo recently every time I start up the Rolla I get a chirping noise real quick and everything seems to run alright. I had my neighbor, a GM mechanic just look quick; and on the belt connected to the water pump looked like it was unusually worn on spots of it.
The car has about 27XXX miles on it ('10 Rolla S).
Going for an oil change next week, going to try and find out what's going on with this thing. I've seen other threads talking about the water pump causing the symptoms I've described at around the same amount of miles. Seems like a common part to fail on the car.
...... 2010 Corolla LE 1.8L ...... View the video I uploaded ....... The noise is seems to be getting worse. My first thought is the bearings in the water pump may have failed. I'm also thinking that there isn't adequate lubrication near the gear assembly or the belt. Could there be a problem with the tension in the belt?
View 7 RepliesRecently blew the belt that runs the water pump, etc while on a vacation. Had to leave the car at a small mechanic in Winthrop, WA. He replaced the Water pump which had gone bad and the belt that shredded. The car ran beautifully for a week. Now there is this constant rattling sound coming from the water pump area. the link is a video with the sound. The sound will quicken as you accelerate. At cold start up it is usually not present then starts a couple of minutes in.

We took our vehicle to our local Goodyear because we had been hearing a noise and they discovered that the water pump had actually dislodged itself from the engine and was only being held on by the belt itself.
Also when I said the brakes weren't working they would work but since they were getting coolant on them they were making a horrible grinding noise. I took the vehicle to brake check to ensure the brakes were good because we have lifetime warranty and they assured us the brakes were fine.
It wasn't until we noticed the water pump that the Goodyear tech also showed us that the coolant had made it's way onto our braking system on the passenger side.
I just bought a used 2009 corolla, turns out a few weeks in, I am getting the infamous water pump/ac compressor clicking noise from the drive belt area.
View 3 Replies2009 Corolla XLE. 88K miles. My Corolla hadn't been driven for almost a week. This morning the car wouldn't start. Upon turning the ignition key, there was no clicking though. I tried to jump start it multiple times with no success. I thought maybe I am doing something wrong with the jump start.
Called Roadside assistance. The guy had me try to start it once and kind of figured out what was wrong. He started the car and pumped the gas at the same. The car started. He said the vehicle is fuel injected since it has been sitting at the same spot for almost a week. He suggested I should let it run for sometime. Its pretty cold here today (~35F real feel). Since this happened, I started the car multiple times throughout the day without pumping the gas and it did start without any issue.
I am pretty sure its not normal for this car as I never had to do this before. Is there something wrong with the car? Do I need to take the car to the mechanic and have it checked? What should I expect in terms of any mechanical repairs? I dont want to get stranded somewhere and would like to get it fixed.
I had a 2006 Corolla S 1.8L automatic with 232,000+ miles that was taken away too early by two other cars making a sandwich out of it. It was still getting 32 -37 mpg consistently and about 370 - 390 miles per tank at least before I'd look for gas. I just replaced it with a '13 Corolla S 1.8L automatic and average out near 28 - 32 mpg (but it's winter). My issue is the readout on the gauges. I've got a 120 mile round trip for work daily (all highway). On the way home yesterday, gauge showed 1/4 tank and distance said 85 miles (enough to get home).
At about 26 miles left, yellow light came on. At gas station 19 miles left til empty (or so I thought), yellow light shut off and gas gauge went back up slightly off E. Filled her up and it only took 10.2 gallons after topping it off a couple times after the pump shut off. Distance traveled was about 320 miles on that tank so around 32 mpg. I'm o.k. with that but I thought these had the 13 gallon tank like my '06? Were there still 3 gallons in there and the sending unit may be bad or am I missing something? BTW car only has about 6600 miles on it as of right now.
My friend was told by Toyota that the Air Fuel Sensor code was the reason why her 2010 Corolla VSC and engine lights were on. This was after she visited her mechanic who changed the O2 sensor.
Is there a way to change the Air fuel sensor herself without having to pay Toyota...
ok, i just became the proud owner of a 71 dodge dart.. fuel pump was not working, and am converting to an electric (airtex e8016s) and am told i need a relay. airtex doesn't seem to have one, is there another i can use? fairly new at this sort of thing, but have fixed a 72 honda motorbike, so not afraid of engines or whatnot.
View 19 RepliesIm new to this modification game but im very eager to get started. I have a 2010 LE and am kind of put off that a majority of parts seem to be made for the S model, the only differences I know between the LE and S is looks am I wrong? And are there any aftermarket Head Units with a screen that are reliable and not cheap looking or feeling? Also I haven't really seen a definite answer on whether coil overs or springs are better for a drop?
View 3 RepliesMy son has a 09 Vibe 1.8L automatic and it won't start. Among other things, I also I want to check to see if it has spark and fuel pressure.
First of all, can I check for spark by looking at the signals into the coil packs? I realize that this won't actually tell me if there is spark at the plugs, but I'd like to know if the ECU is commanding spark or not. One of the coil packs was replaced a couple of months ago, so I'm fairly confident that it is OK. And it's hard to believe that all of the rest of them would suddenly have a problem.
As far as the fuel pressure is concerned, I don't see a valve on the fuel rail to connect a standard fuel pressure gauge. I'm assuming that I need to some how tap a gauge into the rubber supply line, prior to the metal line going to the fuel rail, but I'm not sure this is the recommended way.
I just filled up my gas tank and when I turned on my car the gas light turned on and the needle read empty. But before I put gas, the gas light wasn't on yet and. Was at 1/4 of a tank. Maybe I filled it up too much and it'll resolve itself after the gas goes down?
It's a 10.5 if it matters.
The 2011+ corollas have an option to have a usb/line in jack for the radio which is by the time clock. I have a 2010 corolla with just the line in jack aux input. Can I get the usb/line in jack part from the 2011 corolla and hook it up the wire that was originally connected to the line in jack connector? Or do I need part PT233-47100?
View 6 RepliesBeen all over the internet and have tried over a half a dozen or so different methods for programing a key but none have worked for me. I have already gotten the key cut at a locksmith, I just need to program it successfully.
