I just bought our 1st. Toyota 03 celica GT 5speed.113000 well cared for miles. My biggest concern is the headlight adjustment. The high beams are similar to aircraft landing lights but the low beams seem to cross with the left side too far to the center. I found the up-down adjuster (wish it had the cab operated feature) but can't find the left-right adjustment.
View 3 RepliesMy headlights seem to be off. The beams are spread too far apart, leaving a dark spot right in the middle. It is a 2016 and I just noticed it tonight. I have been trying to find the horizontal adjustment. Is this it? I have tried to turn it but did not notice any difference. Which way am I suppose to turn the left and right one to have the beams move closer to each other?
View 7 RepliesI have had my 91 ST for about 6 years. Bought it with 55k miles on it and the motor blew up on me at 165k. I had the motor replaced and when I got it back one of the headlights was out (low beams). I replaced that and got nothing, replaced the other one and still nothing. Even tried swapping bulbs around and no luck. Checked fuses and all look fine.
Talking with my mechanic who did the engine work about this and he started thinking it might be the dimmer switch. I ended up getting one and replaced it, moving one wire at a time off the old one to the wiring connector. Got done and nothing still. Now my Hi-beam indicator doesn't come on either. He is looking at this again and thinks the switch might be bad but can't confirm the wiring either. The diagram he has from work shows all the wires being different colors from any of the wires in the connector, even from other pieces.
Looking for any diagram that would tell us what wire pins from the dimmer switch and other parts of the combination switch go into the connector block under the steering column.
I really need this car back soon. Having to drive my Silverado 1500 crew cab to work and that is a 90 mile round trip every day. Want my 35+mpg Celica back.
R32 MKV owner of 6 weeks. My headlights seem high, seem to be blinding other drivers. No manual adjustment, its meant to do automatically depending on vehicle weight etc?? How I sort this?
View 11 RepliesAnytime I turn the headlights on, the high beams go on too; I cannot switch off the high beams unless I turn off the headlights entirely (I have been driving with the low beams on during the day for the 5 years I have had the car)
I can find no reason for this; I'm inspecting the fuses (with little expectation). The only thing I can think of is the control switch or wiring. I have standard headlamps, not hid.
I recently got this car from a friend, and when checking all the lights I noticed that only the high beams work, not the low beams. I replaced the lamps, and checked all the fuses, but the low beams still don't work.

My car has all original wiring and I suspect a short at one of the terminal blocks. I am unsure how to troubleshoot this problem. I cannot select my model number below I have a model 76 Dynamic Cruiser.
View 19 RepliesSo I bought an 01 GTI last week with a decent amount of things pre-modified including a Jetta front end swap? Anyway the guy I bought it from knew absolutely nothing about what had been done to the car other than the fact that there was an HID kit installed and it was set up to run high beams only.
I figured I'd remove the HID's until i drop some cash on a pair of nice projector housings. I removed them and plugged up some nice sylvania bulbs as per the OEM standard 9007, and figured I'd have no issues... They are still stuck on high beam only... What could be causing this?
I bought a used 2002 Camry (at a discounted price because of a few dings and dents) and the headlights are not working. The high beams and turn signals work but not the headlights. I changed the bulbs, checked all the fuses and got a new relay but still nothing. I brought it to an electro-mechanic and he told me the ECM was busted and that he could maybe grind it down. This seemed odd to me so I called my old mechanic in the states who said he has never heard of an ECM causing headlights not to work and suggested I install a toggle switch. Does this sound like it could work? Could I do this on my own? I'm pretty handy but am a little hesitant to try any electrical work on my car as I have no experience with electrical work.

View 14 RepliesI have checked fuse 46 and 47, and installed new headlight bulbs. I have high beams, but no low beams. I have searched this topic but no one has the same prob it seems. My headlight switch has broken. Could it be the headlight switch?
In my manual, it says the 2002 has a fuse panel behind the glove box. I took glove box out but it doesn't look like a fuse panel.
I recently installed new halo HID headlights in my 2003 f150 with HID bulbs and ballast the passenger side worked and the drivers side didn't nth lights wired exactly the same. I switched everything from the passenger to the drivers side still nothing I switched everything back to passenger side and they don't work now. I tired regular bulbs in the passenger side an it worked then on the drivers side and it worked for a split second and went out and then I retried t on the passenger side and it worked for a split second and went out a now neither are working. I checked all the fuses and their good. What the problem could be?

I changed the bulbs no luck they still only work on high beams checked fuses they looked good is there anything else I can check?
After spending weeks ordering parts and doing research on this issue all my attempts have not solved the issue. To reiterate the issue, the high beams work, and the low beams do not. Thus far I have attempted the following without the desired result-
1. Changed the headlights out just in case both bulbs burnt at once.
2. Changed the blinker stalk in hopes of a faulty switch.
3. Changed the headlight switch to a brand new OEM Euro style switch.
4. Checked all fuses (did this first actually).
The other night on my way home, I flipped on the high beams and the low beams didn't shut off. Flash to pass still works, and pushing in on the end of the stem turns the low beams off as well.
Having the column switch apart, is it possible this could be fixed without having to pull the steering wheel? Or, am I better off just spending the hundred dollars of so and putting in a new part?
It ford related but I just bought a used car that has hid low beams and when you turn on high beams there is no light at all. The blue light on dash comes on and head lights go off. I just got this car 2 days ago and haven't really looked into it.

I looked at all the fuses on interior and engine bay and they all are fine. Replaced the dimmer switch and still no high beams. If the headlight relay was not working would both high and low beams both not work?
