Have an 05 Auto GT which will vibrate when at a signal. If I shift into N it'll go away instantly. Had my motor mounts checked multiple times with multiple mechanics and they're fine. ATF is also clean and trans shifts smoothly.
I did run seafoam through it and it was fine for about a day, then started vibrating again.
I get significant vibrations when stopped at a signal or stop sign. I don't get them in park or neutral. I ran Seafoam through the car once and it went away for about a day and then came back.
Now the catch. Had several shops check the motor mounts. All said they were fine. Could it still be the motor mounts?
I have a 2005 Infiniti G35x. I just replaced the stock rotors with EBC slotted rotors and "green stuff" pads. The brakes work great - much better than my old worn out stock brakes. The problem I'm having is when breaking at a slow rate (say slowing from 20 to 0 at a stop sign) I feel a pulsation/vibration (it's not a sound, I can't hear it, just a feeling) in the front rotors. It's not a warpped rotor feeling, and it doesn't happen at higher speeds. The best I could describe it is the feeling you get when you ABS kick in - only much more subtle. So my question is - is this normal? One mechanic said I was feeling the slots as they went around.

View 1 RepliesI have an 87 ST. Recently the turn signal fuse keeps blowing out. This only happens when I use the right turn signal. It will cycle about 5 or 6 times then the fuse blows out. Hazards are fine, left turn signal is fine, all bulbs, contacts, and wires are fine. I'm guessing it could be either the turn signal switch itself, or the relay.
View 1 RepliesI was driving my wifes 2005 Lexus 330 on an Interstste between 65-70 mph. Suddenly the steering wheel started to vibrate as if I had a flat tire. I pulled over, checked-no flat. Cautiously started slowly then picked up speed til I was at 65 again. No problem. Drove all the way home (150 mi) next day, no problem. About 3 weeks later, the same thing happened to my wife on an interstate. Sje stopped, checked, no flat. Started up cautiously, then faster. A ll OK. Came home-no repeat of the problem. Took it to our dealer. Up it went on the lift. Diagnosis: 2 tires had steel belts that were out of shape and the car needed a slight alignment. $800+ bucks. A week later, on an interstate, she had a repeat of the problem. Lexus took the car and the service guys took turns drvng it home at interstate speeds. Couldn't get a repeat of the problem. I don't know if this would have any bearing on the situation, but the only thing we've done out of the ordinary is use regular gas about 3 of every 4 fill-ups ...

Last week the rad cooling fan stopped working. The fan itself is fine. It spins when connected directly to the batt. Relay tested good, and fuse isn't blown. I unplugged the temp. switch connector, and grounded it to the batt. to test the circuit, and nothing. Switched on the A/C, and both fans spin. So, where else should I look for the problem?
My 92 Celica 5SFE 2.2L auto sputters at half throttle. But if I release gas pedal, performance normalizes. I already changed spark plugs cables, ignition coil fuel filter, spark plugs, cleaned injectors, replaced timing belt, engine starts right up and idles a bit high, around 1300 RPM when cold in Park, then when warm 800 RPM in drive. I don't know if it's an electrical issue or a vacuum related issue, spark plugs get carbon fouled after driving like this. I'm tired of having all the newer cars pass me by and my car "running" on 3 pistons.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2005 GT where at times when I remove the key, the dash remains lit showing me my fuel, mileage, etc. The headlights also remain on (and since it's auto, I can't force them off). Other times, the Daytime lights will be on when I remove the key with the same issue where I can't force them off. The engine always shuts off when removing the key though.
To top this off, generally the remote will not lock/unlock the car, I have to manually use the key. Other times, the remote works perfectly fine. I've tried 2 different remotes and a new battery and the issue continues.
Does this sound like a faulty ignition switch? My thinking was that the car isn't recognizing that I'm removing the key all the way causing the dash lights and disabling the remote.
I am looking at an 05 Corolla with the 2zzge. I am wondering if can run regular gas in a pinch with octane booster? Some areas where I travel only have regular fuel.
View 1 RepliesMy son has a 2005 Pontiac G6 with around 100,00 miles on it. Recently, when he is driving and hits the turn signal, the wipers go on... and stay on. He tries to get them to stop using the wiper controls, but nothing happens. At some point (several minutes to an hour or two) they stop. Nothing will occur for a while, but out of the blue, when signalling a turn, they start in again. Also, when they are on, the horn won't work. I'm telling him that the car is haunted.

View 3 RepliesWhen AC is on "Auto" the fan runs at slowest speed unless outside temp is over 100 degrees or setting is below 64 degrees. With setting left at 70 or 71 degrees, and outside temp is 80 or higher, cabin temp will slowly rise when driving in traffic and will slowly fall at speeds over 60, but not reach set temp until driving over an hour plus.
If fan is manually adjusted to higher speed, "Auto" system shuts off and AC becomes totally manual control. If the "Auto" button is touched, fan goes off again and the system will not do any of the automatic functions spelled out in manual.
Two different dealers have advised that ALL 2014 Avalons are like this and so it is considered "normal" regardless of what manual says and they and Toyota Customer Service refuse to do anything about it. What is the experience of other 2014 owners.
My 05 Malibu classic is making the turn signal clicking noise constantly which then causes the warning chime to start going off. I have replaced the turn signal assembly three times and each time it fixes it for a short time then it starts again.

Had the car for just over a year and yesterday noticed that when I choose the defrost mode there is no indicator on the control panel to show it's in that mode. All the other function positions have indicator icons to show what mode is selected.
I don't use the defrost only mode very often and now wonder if it never worked since I've owned it or if there isn't an indicator for defrost mode. Isn't there an indicator for that mode?
I just got a new battery installed from Walmart for my 2007 Avalon. After replacing the battery I am experiencing a wide variety of electrical problems. The car starts fine that's not the problem. Here's a lost of all of the problems:
Navigation display now goes I wired directions...it used to follow the direction the car was going
Passenger window does not work at all
Driver side window works but the auto function does not work
Sun roof auto feature does not work so you have to hold the button the whole time as opposed to just pressing it once
What could have caused this?? I haven't tried cleaning the terminals or anything yet.
My 2005 Ford Taurus (3.0 liter engine, auto trans, 117K miles) recently began shifting hard (dropping suddenly, not smoothly) only on the 2-3 shift at 20 MPH. The check engine light is not on, and the car functions perfectly otherwise. A mechanic removed the trans pan, replaced the filter and fluid, and added Lucas additive. The interior of the trans was clean, and did not have a burned smell. The 2-3 shift did not improve.Could it be a valve body or a solenoid? Is it repairable? I drive it gently, and the problem hasn't gotten worse (2 months). What's up with my trans?

For some reason, the Hazard switch clicks a few times after using the turn signals (randomly), or while driving it will start clicking for a few seconds. The lights do not flash. it is only the audible sound coming from the hazard switch area.
Where does that sound come from? the hazard switch? Would replacing the switch with a new one fix it?
