View 14 RepliesBrand new bumper came in without screws and nuts, it's ready for painting but i need the right hardware. (photos are simply for reference)
I want to keep the screws and nuts OEM meaning as close to as exact as possible without home depot or some lame arse hardware store, i'm talking about original VW if possible parts. Or at least the clips if anything at all. VW dealer hasn't supported much either, they just said go to Home Depot and buy some regular screws and u-nuts but I want everything as if it came straight off the dealership. I do not believe that all screws and nuts are created equal and where to get exact right hardware I need.
As far as I know the bottom needs 18 or so 5mm nuts and "u-nuts" that they screw into. And there's also the stock scoop, where to even start with screws on this one.
I am installing aftermarket reverse sensors on my bumper , do i need to take off before drilling or should be ok if nothing is behind, how to remove the rear bumper.
View 5 RepliesI see some wires dangling in the front bumper which looks like fog lights plugs but I don't get it so is it just plug and play buy a new bumper with fog lights or something? My car doesn't have fog lights but it looks like there is wires for fog lights.
View 10 RepliesI bought a pair of LED strips that I would like to run instead of the DRLs. I want them to be on whenever the car is on. I don't have a wiring diagram, and I'm not sure where I can tap some power or wire up a relay to have them come on only when the car is on.
View 8 RepliesHow to remove/install a reflector on the right rear side of the 'lower' rear bumper? I don't see any screws. So, can I pop it out with a screwdriver? Or, is it attached from the inside?
View 2 RepliesSo i have been looking to get some new headlights with the projector housing but noticed that most of them have a fog light which my car does not have. I know in order to get them to work properly i would need the euro switch, but would i need to run additional wires through the firewall?

View 5 RepliesSo I am looking at the signal lights (?) on my front bumper (2012 Tiguan SE). I see there are bulbs inside them but they are not functional. Is there any coding that needs to be done for this to work?
View 4 RepliesWas installing my new radio and somehow the lights for the buttons wont come on when the headlights are on. Is there a fuse i can check? Where is it located? I checked under the hood but i didn't see a fuse for dash lights.
View 2 RepliesI had oem LED taillights installed to my car. Dealer coded the car to avoid error lights on dash. The problem is now the city lights under xenons look dimmed. Not as bright as before. I asked him why did it happen and he said that it's normal as it needs to balance the current flow to supply enough power to the LED taillights. I'm not satisfied with this answer though.
View 3 RepliesI just took delivery of a new 2011 golf and noticed the footwell lights were absent, presumably because Canadians always seem to get shafted. I would like to hear from other Canadian golf owners before going to the dealer.
If absent footwell lights are indeed standard for Canadian golfs, I'm thinking about installing them myself. I found a link on another site that details the install on an MKV : [URL]...
So I was installing my Hid's and the clip broke off, clip still in tact but the part that it's held in where the screw is at is gone. What can be done about this?
View 6 RepliesI installed the lights and they work fine but everytime I turn them on they throw a bulb out error message. I have the cold diagnosis turned off for the fogs and I still have it. Whats next?
Here is my coding. F78F8F2700041500470F0000000000000018110B5C00010000 0000000000
I am looking to install HID lights into my headlight. Successfully i have installed the regular hid into the headlamp for regular use lights. Now i have a question on the high beam which is together with the Drl. Do i have to get a bixenon kit for this socket to get the drl running and the high beam when selected? Or can i just install a regular lo/hi hid. And will it send low output for the drl and then when selected for the high beam it will function as it should?
View 14 RepliesI got a new frame engine air filter as recommended by the book, tried to install and the cover will not close properly.
View 2 RepliesToday i blacked out my tail lights and reflectors in my bumper using dia-wyde spray. Here are the results of this...
View 7 RepliesInstalled the euroswitch yesterday because I want the parking lights to work in the front. All the lights work except for the front parking! In the second click I have the rear but no front. Am I missing something or do I have a bad euroswitch?
View 12 RepliesJust install a car kit for buddy's 2004 Hyundai Elantra Gt. Installation went fine, later that night he noticed that his dashboard lights stopped working.
Checked all the fuses an they seem fine, checked to make sure we connected all the plugs, all connected. Even swapped out the cluster fuse with another new fuse an same results no lights.
What could cause the lights to stop all of a sudden?
Just installed the smoked tail lights on my '07 Treg. Installation was very easy per the instructions on OEMplus. I did a great job from that standpoint.
Got one issue, I check the 'Check Lights" warning and I think its due to the fact I tested the lights before I had all the new ones installed and hooked up. Do I need to take it to the dealer to have something reset via a computer or will the check light go away with some driving, which is what the dealer said.
