Took it to the local parts store to have the codes checked, but was unable to erase the codes from the reader. Is there procedure I need to do?

View 7 RepliesI was playing with my obd reader today and came across 2 pending codes both C0700.
View 5 RepliesOk, did a quick search, found nothing. Is there a way to get CEL codes without a reader on '01 F150? I know the way on 80's stuff, is there on newer stuff?
View 2 RepliesI have the 2011 Santa Fe V6 and it has the P0447 & P0455 codes popping up on my reader. I checked the pins to make sure that there is voltage getting to the solenoid, (about 11volts at the 2 pins) and it seems good. No fuel lines broken, or cap messed up, etc.
View 6 RepliesI'm having issues with my iphone bluetooth connection--each and every morning, I need to connect manually by turning off and on bluetooth menu in my iphone.
It may well be that my iphone is not working correctly, but I'd like to try everything possible to fix this issue.
By searching this forum, I learned that sometimes erasing/resetting bluetooth module will solve the problem, but how exactly can I do that?
How do you erase the XM Sat Presets on a 2011 ES350 with Navigation Just purchased the car and started the Free 90 Day XM Sat Trial When you hit the Down & Up Station on the steering wheel, you notice that Sat I & Sat II & Sat III already have 6 presets Have no idea how to erase these current Sat I & Sat II & Sat III and / or how to enter 6 new presets.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2010 Sanata with 69500 miles. I have been getting a P0456 code for some time. I have replaced the gas cap, purge valve and the close vent valve and filter. The code still wont fully erase and keeps tripping the MIL. I have done a smoke test and there are no visible signs of leaking anywhere. What this could be.
One question I have in live data the purge valve never seems to go below 2.7 percent even when the engine is off. it was like that be for and after replacing it.
Could this all be caused by a bad ECU? I was told that in a 2010 Sanata that the ECU is common to fail. When the MIL is on I have 3 of the same code one freeze frame one that triggers the light and one that says permanent. Every time I erase the codes all but the permanent go away. No matter how many times I hit erase or even disconnect the battery it will not go away but the light shuts off.
My 2005 Camry LE four cylinder is past due for plug wires. I have tried Googling the correct part number for either NGK or Denso. The newest ones I can find are from 2001. What are the proper part numbers? My local parts store claims NGK and Denso does not make them for my car. I have a hard time believing they don't make plug wires for my car. If nothing else what is the correct Toyota part number?
View 3 RepliesThis a second time I am unable to turn the ignition key to start up the car. Eventually I was able to do so by exiting and entering the car, but I did not realize what is causing this type of event. Is this a feature of this car so that it is hard to be stolen? Is there anything in the owner's manual explaining what I did or didn't do to cause this problem? I spent about 15 minutes until I was finally able to start the car (using the key), but I want to avoid this issue again.
View 14 RepliesI have Toyota camry LE 2003 model. Today evening, my car got started but I was unable to change the gears. Apart from that, my odometer reading goes off. My heater fan also did not start.
It's very cold here in minneapolis, (-10 F outside). Is this because of that? I started my car from my parking lot to shopping mall which is 0.5 miles apart. while coming back, this happened.
In the past month, I had to use my "cruise control" a few times, and I had the bad experience that sometimes it works as it is intended to do, but other times I am unable set it after I turn on the cruise control; thus, it works on and off.
View 14 RepliesI became the owner of a used (43k) magnetic grey 2014 Camry SE I4. The radio display does not seem to know where I am touching the screen. It is indicating about 1" above my actual touch and there are functions I am unable to select because of this.
View 4 RepliesWorthless Chilton's manual went in trash. I don't have a working PC and Im unable to find a diagram for the rear brake drum of my 2005 camry.
View 3 RepliesMy new '07 Camry with 5K miles on it, driving along, minding my own business. The navigation was on as it always is, but not in guidance mode. All of a sudden I notice the screen turn dark and I see this error: "MAP DVD - Unable to read data. Check if map DVD is correct." (see image)
I have never removed the DVD from the drive. It is clean as a whistle. I wasn't on a bumpy road. I tried resetting and cleaning it, but no good.
I just traded in my 2012 Camry SE for a 2015 Camry SE and heving trouble getting the text messages to be displayed through the car's audio system screen?
View 3 RepliesI just received a 2010 Camry XLE V6. The problem is such: no matter what I do, I am unable to input or enter an address into the built in GPS. the "ADDRESS" button is greyed out and not clickable.
I can't enter an address (123 W. Whatever Street, Anywhere, USA) to put in something for the address book, home location, "drive to" etc.
The Toyota dealership guy said, "something is definitely wrong"
the whole car and built-in unit work fine with the exception I cannot enter an address because the button on the on-screen display/menu is greyed out and unclickable ...
First time I'm having an issue with my Toyota Camry 2009 model.
See video: [URL] .....
I'm wondering if this is a starter issue because the battery seems to be fine (can turn on radio, lights are working). The strange thing i noticed was that the light on the rear windshield defroster was blinking. I haven't turned that on in months.
Also, is this covered under warranty ? I bought the extended warranty when i purchased the vehicle in 2008. If i'm not mistaken I'm still covered under it. Is there a place (online) where i could check my extended warranty period ?
My dvd reader (optical) go out in their MFD2. I first noticed something was wrong when i didn't see my compass working. Then it would go on and off for a bit and now the nav disc is not recognized at all. Even better yet, I can't eject the disc....
View 3 RepliesMe and the wife got in the ole '97 1.8. After may be 5 mins or so, I noticed the CEL was on.
I've only ever seen the CEL light on once, and it was b/c the gas cap was loose.
The car ran fine, nothing out of the ordinary. After getting home, I plugged in the dusty OBD reader thingy and it spit out a code, I can't remember. P401 or something like that. EGR emission low?
It appeared that my EGR valve is all cruddy with carbon deposits. So Is removal/cleaning terribly difficult? I'm thinking some carb cleaner and maybe a scraper would do the trick.
2000 Honda Odyssey - CEL came on a couple of days ago and I took it to get the code read. The reader says it can't link up with the ecu. Tried the same reader on another car and it worked fine. The transmission was rebuilt last year (about 9 mo. ago) and I'm concerned that something was not hooked up right during the rebuild. Is this a possibility for the non-linking of the reader to the ecu? Also, last year, before the tranny rebuild, I had a reader hooked up to the ecu and it worked fine.
As a side note, the TCS light comes on sometimes after starting the car and won't turn off. If I restart the car it will turn off and work properly. I imagine this is related, but not sure since I can't read the code for the CEL.
The USB port/reader is not recognizing any flash memory that it once recognized. I recently had my Navigation unit replaced. Could this be the problem? I am not getting any error messages or anything that would indicate that there is a flash drive inserted. Both of my flash drives (filled with mp3s) use to work in the USB port. I have tested the drives on other devices and they are still functional.
