This will be my first winter using a dedicated set of winter tires and wheels on my 09 Camry. The set doesn't have TPMS sensors. Will the TPMS light constantly flash or just stay lit when the system doesn't detect the sensors? I could live with the light always lit but if it flashes it will be annoying.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2007 Toyota Camry LE, and the seat belt light keeps on flashing and the airbag light is solid. We have tried literally everything possible, tried replacing the seat, replaced the seats sensors, tried a airbag module out of another 07 camry with exact same part #. Toyota have diagnosed that all the systems for airbag is fine, except it has something to do with the seat belt of the drivers side/or module but all that's been checked and still no luck. My car is due for Safety inspecting coming month and need this to fixed. How to handle this. Btw light came on because we had a blown fuse for the drivers power seat, and my mechanic thought that it was the motor so we replaced the seat and noticed that it wasn't the motor. Was just the fuse and we put back the original seat and everything is functional except the lights came on. No accidents on it to the extent i know. and the wiring is all plugged back properly without anything like wiring damage.

View 4 RepliesMy 2007 ES350 had a problem with the TPMS where it would flash for the first minute and then stay solid. After checking all 5 tire pressures and resetting the system by using the button under the drivers side dash, I determined that it was probably a bad sensor. Seeing as how they are 7 years old, this seemed reasonable. (I also checked to make sure the passenger side button for the second set of tires was not pushed).
I just had new tires installed at Costco, and brought 5 new sensors for them to install. They supposedly did whatever sensor registration magic is required, but I am still having the same issue. The light blinks for the first minute then goes solid.
What is interesting is that when I try to reset using the button, the light flashes slower (about 1 per second) 3 times, then goes faster (about every half second or so) for the rest of the minute. Is this some code that the system is trying to display?
Also, is there any trick to getting this system re-initialized that I can pass on to the Costco techs when I take it back up there?
A customer brought in their 07 Camry XLE with a flashing low tire light. I retrieved two codes, one for sensor 1 and one for sensor 2. Tire pressures normal.
Codes are
DTC C2121/21 No Signal from Transmitter ID1 in Main Mode
DTC C2122/22 No Signal from Transmitter ID2 in Main Mode
The other things I noticed were that the two bad sensors were showing a temp of -40F while the two good sensors were within 5 degrees of actual ambient temp. Another fault was that the battery in #4 was low. I ordered 2 new sensors from Toyota and after writing down their code, I swapped them out. I had already written down the codes for the other 2 sensors. Going into the data, now sensor #4 is reading -40F too and the battery says OVER.
The only good one is on the left front. I cannot believe that I had two bad sensors this morning and another failed this afternoon. I've been wrenching long enough to know that these things are rare. The customer made the appointment yesterday and dropped off the car last night. She called right when the light came on and only drove it about 30 miles from then to when she dropped it off. Before I left, I ordered two more sensors. BTW, the tires look relatively new, but we did not put them on. The two sensors I removed looked fine.
It's the same every time. forty minutes into a drive and the TPMS light starts blinking. It blinks for about three minutes and then goes solid. After two minutes or so the light goes off completely. Every time I check, my tire pressure is perfect. I carry a good analog gauge with me and monitor pressure obsessively.

View 10 RepliesI just purchased a 2014.5 Camry and winter is around the corner. I was going to buy a set of oem 17in SE rims and put snow tires on with out the tpms sensors. The question I have to ask is once the light comes on can you disable the traction control. Reason I ask is because on my 2011 accord it forces the traction control on and is sucks. Snow tires without the sensors.
View 5 RepliesThe light flashes then turns solid. I checked the pressure to find 32lbs in the tires. I pumped them back up to 36 front, 35 rear (per suggestions here to minimize steering wander).
The light remains on. Knowing the pressures were fine, I have driven it several days to see if the light goes out on its own. No dice.
While driving last week, the wife asked about this and we pressed the Blue Link connect button. The service rep who responded said she saw no pressure warning on her remote panel.
Over the weekend, I tried inflating the tires to 40psi, thinking that the higher pressure would reset the light and then I could lower the pressure to normal levels. That did not work, either.
So yesterday, I called the dealer and the service rep said the system warns of BOTH under pressure and over pressure. She suggested setting the tires to the "sweet spot," at 35psi. I did this, and the light remains on.
I guess I will need drive to the dealer and let them piddle with it. I like the system, or at least the idea. But I hope I don't have to drive to the dealer after every attempt to maintain the tires.
I own a 2012 Camry and i just upgraded from the 17 inch to the 18 inch sport wheels. Do the tmps sensors have to be recalibrated because i get no readings. I thought the car should pick up on its own and show me tire pressure. The wheels came from a 2013 Camry.
View 6 RepliesI am owner of brand new Golf Sportsvan 1.4 92kw petrol, 6 speed manual. Since day two ive been noticeing that something might be wrong with my car. Second day of ownership i was greeted by TPMS, ESC, Auto hold and Stop start system error all at once, and parking sensors were beeping and button was flashing. Ive been reading about it and its not new for MK7 owners as i can understand. But what worries me most is the revs when the engine is cold and i start it up first time. Did a video and uploaded it. [URL] .....
Weird thing is i only get errors when its cold start, i mean for example yesterday and today it was cold here (-5 degrees celcsius) and car started up with no errors, but the revs where bouncing up and down like seen on video. Sometimes i get those 4 errors aswell and rev problem, sometimes only rev problem, but when the engine is at the working temperature i get no errors, no shakey revs.
Otherwise love the car. Solid build quality, Spacious, Like the pyramid gold color, lovely car, beside those gremlins.
Ever since I bought my 04 V8, the TPMS warning light has been on due to dead sensors and a disconnected controller (G model controller), and I had just learned to live with the alert and the icon on the display for the time being. Last weekend I installed a 6 button cruise control switch and recoded per Michael's instructions. The switch works fine and everything was good. After a couple of drives with the new switch I noticed that the TPMS was not giving me the usual failure message or the fault icon anymore. If I hit the Vehicle button I still get the same fault message in the J523 screen but no warning in the cluster, and no warning upon startup. Ran a VCDS scan and the errors for the TPMS module not being there are still present as they always were.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2007 L.L. Bean Edition Forester. The cruise light is flashing and check engine light is solid. I am well into my retirement age and nearest dealer is about 2 hours away. Is this something that local mechanic can fix? He is very good, but not Subaru schooled. I'm afraid to drive it now.
View 2 RepliesAbout four days ago my TPMS warning light started blinking. Same tires and sensors have been on there for quite some time. The service book says to take it to the dealer, but I instead stopped by Discount Tire (where I purchased the tires) to see if they could look and figure out which sensor was acting up.
When he ran his sensor, none of my four sensors showed up as broadcasting at all! Now I know that all four of my sensors did not just randomly go out at the same time.
2002 Montana code P0304 light was flashing now solid, swapped coils no change, new plug and wire no change, found air box plugged solid from hibernating mice cleaned out thats when light went from flashing to solid still misefire. I've been told its the injector.
View 3 RepliesI recently installed takeoff 2017 factory 18" wheel/tire combo on my 2008 F250 to replace the 17" steelies. Didn't even know it had a TPMS system. Light never came on in 10 years of driving. After installing and airing up to 70psi, the TPMS warning light came on. Checked pressures, all good. I'm guessing that the new 18's have different sensors than the 2008 17's. 08 has the rim mounted green rectangular style. Don't know what the 2017's are as the tires were never taken off the rims. What do I have to do to get the new sensors to work?

The engine light came on a few weeks ago and I cannot seem to get rid of it. I have also noticed when I'm accelerating hard at higher speeds/RPM's the engine light flashes?? After when I get to the cruising speed and let off the gas pedal the engine light stops flashing and stays solid. Also when accelerating hard there seems to be a hesitation, almost like the engine is choking itself. Once it gets passed the hesitation point during hard accelerating it seems fine? I have ran about 6 bottles of Seafood through the engine and gas tank. It definitely worked out but still has the hesitation, flashing engine light syndrome...I have changed the following with still no luck...
-Spark Plugs
-Coil on Plug
-Fuel Injectors
-Cam Phase sensors
I have a 2002 Camry V6 US model. I need to replace the Oxygen Sensor that is on the front (beginning) of the Front Exhaust Pipe Assy, just before the other sensor which is on the curved part of the front exhaust.
When looking at the DENSO website, it lists two sensors BEFORE the catalytic convertor and two AFTER it. I don't see ANY sensors after the convertor(s), nor does the Toyota Camry shop service manual show them.
Are there only two or are there more than two? Also, what is bank 1 and bank 2? I'm assuming bank 1 is the front cylinders and bank two are the rear (towards the windshield).
So I recently got an '11 GS350 awd. No issues with the TPMS until today. In anticipation of next winter I went out and got a set of winter wheels with tpms. Yesterday I decided to hook up my new Techstream and program the second set of sensor IDs. When my wife drove the car today the tpms light came on flashing. I thought that meant that one or more senders was bad. Techstream showed four unique pressure readings for set 1 but had an error code for a bad sensor. Holding the learn button under the dash does nothing.
