How do I set my navigation so when I am traveling over my speed limit it will show the current speed limit of the road or highway.
I use to use a after market gps years ago that would automatically show the speed limit of each road or highway I am on if I was passing the limit.
I was bummed that my 2011 King ranch F450 would not show the actual speed limit for the road I was on unless I had a destination entered.
I was trying to find how to delete an address and I stumbled on to the fact that on the "info" screen (an "i" with a squire box around it) showed the speed limit for the road I was on.
It's not a convenient as having it displayed on the map screen, but at least it is there.
Just got a Sonata. loving it ... One thing I was missing on the nav is the speed limit of the rood you are driving on. Is there any way to enable it? Also have there been regular/any firmware/maps update to nav and where to get them from and how to install.

I noticed it was lacking a little power one day and the next day a little more so,Then the third day I was heading out to the Doctor (50 miles away) I noticed the truck was slowly and gradually getting worse to where it was hard to even do the speed limit on the highway and the light started blinking so I headed straight to the nearest Advance and had them pull the codes and it gave us 172 bank 1 too rich and 174 bank 2 too lean I replaced the two top o2 sensors (advance sold me)same thing....... plugs, wires, coil, air and fuel filters are all new... checked the PCV hoses all look good, I'm a cancer patient and need my truck for Dr's and treatments and no money to randomly buy parts, I have seen people pointing to intake gaskets and isolator bolts... Does this motor have a track record of this being a common problem?
View 4 RepliesSo, one of the features in late model Toyota nav systems is supposed to be the ability to have the speed limit displayed. I've come across a bug (admittedly, others have too in other vehicle forums) where the speed limit isn't displayed unless you set a destination. After you do, the speed limit for the road you're on will be displayed if you have it turned on in the options menu. If you reach the destination or delete the destination and continue driving, the speed limit will stay on the screen, as it should have been the entire time. Once you shut off the car and turn it back on, the speed information is gone again. Repeat the destination, then delete, and it's back.
I went on their website and reported the bug last Friday and got a call this morning from Toyota. They are having me bring my car in so someone can inspect it next week. The more squeaky wheels...
For reference, I have a 14.5 with the JBL and nav. I don't know for sure if other years are supposed to have this feature. I found the button in the options button at the top left of the nav screen. '15 Highlander people are having the same problem, and I'd guess the '15 Camrys are as well. I'd guess the software driving the units is pretty close to identical.
I just have my 2013 Prius C3 for two months and few days back I noticed that the Slip Indicator light blink a few time when I went through pot hole/uneven road (low speed, ~20mph). In the same time, I can hear as if there is a piece of metal sheet somewhere in the car vibrated. Is this normal?
View 10 RepliesAbout 4 months ago, the car stalled out on the highway. I was going slow because traffic was building up and the car just stopped. I was able to get off to the side. I turned it off, waited a few minutes and then it started up with no problem. I drove it with many stops and starts for about 2 weeks until I could get an appointment with the dealer. The computer did not show a problem. Then in April, the same thing happened. This time, they replaced the Body assy-throttle and./or gasket. Yesterday, the same thing happened though not on a highway but on a city street. There is no noise before the stall, no warning.
View 2 RepliesMy new Sonata Limited 2.4 has 17" wheels and Kumho tires. On certain rough concrete, or more often asphalt road surfaces, at highway speeds, this car is so noisy that one can hardly carry on a conversation. It's terribly loud. Dealer has "checked" it, and tire dealer has looked at the tires. No problem has been found. What can be done about this?

I am assuming it must be some setting that its on because right now I only get the major highways & interstate names. All the misc neighborhood roads etc. show up but the name of the street does not.
View 6 RepliesI noticed that the map on the NAV does not show all the street names. It seems to display all the streets but names for only about 1/3 of the streets. Sometimes even major roads don't have labels. Is there a way to get all the street names to display? I've tried playing around with the settings but can't seem to find anything that will display more street names.
View 11 RepliesMy RNS 315 doesn't show much street detail in the Navigation mode. It just identifies the road or highway and occassionally a side street or two. It doesn't show the names for all the streets and roads. Am I overlooking a setting which would make all that detail appear in the Nav display? Maybe I need to check with my dealer to get it configured right?
View 4 Replies2008 SE V6 Convertible : I have noticed that the road noise has gotten significantly worse. I don't think it's the tires as they have been well inflated and still have about 80% tread left. The noise gets very noticeable starting at 30 mph and gets louder with speed, (by the time I reach 70MPH / 2.5K RPM its already VERY LOUD) and you can even feel the "grinding" vibration in the accelerator pedal and steering wheel. It seems to from the front. A kind of cycling hum (not constant; but broken like the tip of a helicopter blades). The noise does not change in turns; and it's not a loud clunking noise.

View 14 RepliesThe "car" symbol on the nav screen seems to lag the actual position by up to 1/2 block.... when I make turns onto another street, for example, the map will sometimes indicate that I am turning into the block itself (instead of the street that I am on), and about 1/4 mile later, it will mysteriously "shift" the car location back onto the correct street.

When I first got my new 2012 Camry, I noticed ECO light would come on mostly on the highway when I reached certain speeds, and seemed to come on more when I had air conditioning on.
However, now it seems more often the ECO light is on all the time, even when I come to a complete stops. Just wondering if this is normal or do I need to take it in to be checked out or what?
I know ECO mode works with speeds and air conditioning. I do notice when ECO light comes on, the AC doesn't seem to be as cold.... I want my AC working as cool as possible!!! It's constantly over 100 degrees here in San Antonio in the summer.
Yesterday while driving to work the acceleration on my car just died; the engine was running and the car was in drive. I lost power steering and all the dash lights came on. I was driving down the road about 55mph and it just died, but the engine stayed on. What could cause this problem?

How I can disable that annoying beep that occurs when driving over the speed limit? I've tried turning off the beep in the general settings that has not affected it.
View 5 RepliesIn tight corners exits off the freeway, usually speed limit is around 20 - 25, my steering wheel is to hard to turn just like there is NO power steering at all. Feeling the same when turning around my neighborhood. Mine is C4 just bought it last Sunday June 3rd: is it defective?
