i had the headgasket replaced on my 03 camry xle now the sunroof Will not open unless i hold the open button continually, solution i've Read it has to Be recalibrated but i don't know the procedure.
View 2 RepliesThe outside temp gauge on my '05 Treg has never read correctly. It reads approx. +5 degrees F. throughout the range. Can this be recalibrated, by Vag-Com or otherwise, or is it a faulty sensor, needing the dealer's attention? Where is the sensor, anyhow?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2011 f150 eco, i was having trouble with the turbos building boost and dumping to early, kept surging. I took it to my dealer so they ordered the deflector plate and intercooler, i took it in on weds and just picked it up today after they installed those parts and reprogrammed the computer with the latest calibration, this truck runs like a dog now, seems like it lost all the power it used to have? I called my dealer and am taking it back Monday for them to look at it again!
View 14 RepliesDriving on the highway Christmas eve, oddly heard the wind noise and made sure the windows were up, checked the sunroof and no glass.
Didn't notice the glass had blew off, no noise of any kind except the wind noise.
The sunroof was installed by Toyota / came with the car, bought it brand new.
So my friend was driving her car and the sunroof won't close. When it gets to the end of the track, it opens itself back up again. We found a piece sitting on the right-hand track but don't see anyplace where it would fit. It's Saturday pm on a holiday weekend and no place is open.

Is there a way to force this thing to close so the car doesn't get ruined by rain until she can fix it?
It seems that many 2012/2013 Camry owner with sunroof has popping sound issue. Based on reading threads that are already out there it either happens right away or after 10,000+ miles of ownership when outdoor temp gets cold or driving over a bump. What is not clear is, too me, if this issue happens to majority of Camry owner with sunroof or minority. I for one own a 2013 Camry with sunroof with almost 3000 miles on it but I do not have this issue. Was wondering if Camry owner with sunroof can chime here whether or you have this issue and how many miles you have on the vehicle. What percentage of Camry with sunroof are having this issue.
View 14 RepliesI bought a 2008 Camry SE V6 in June. So far, nice car. I even made a point to find an SE with a sunroof. However, the sunroof rattles when it's open. Of course it does. Full open or halfway open does not change the rattle much.
I've been researching this problem online since June, and I am not finding any definitive answers on how to stop the rattle.
I need to add a 2nd battery to my 2003 1500 suburban. How to do it? Or is there a Kit I can buy for it? Also would I need to change the alternator?
View 2 Replies2014 Camry XLE. When you press the close button, sometimes the sunroof will make it about halfway and then go back open. However, if you press the close button quickly several times and sort of shimmy the sunroof closed, it will close. Nothing is obstructing it.

is there a way to program this ourselves? Or is this only available at the dealer, and if so, will there be a cost associated with it?
I bought a used 2006 Toyota Camry Sportivo from a local Toyota dealership not too long ago. Unfortunately, when I bought the car I also bought a flexing/tapping noise coming from the sunroof with it. I believe the problem here lies in the fact that the back right hand corner of the sunroof appears to have a little more play as opposed to the other side which causes a flexing/tapping noise when driving the vehicle. Toyota had the car for nearly to weeks to fix the problem, however, when I picked up vehicle it appeared that they had only lubricated all the moving parts, but not fixed the problem. The sunroof is factory fitted, so I do not think it should be making that kind of noise.
View 5 RepliesI have determined that my starter is not engaging on my car 4.2 phaeton. I removed the 433 starter relay and tried to jump the contacts to engage the starter. I get a small flow of current when I do this but no engagement of the starter, only a very faint click. Not a click like when you engage a normal solenoid. It may be a bad solenoid or a bad starter motor. I cannot reach the terminals on the solenoid to check my connections. I have read somewhere that the manual states that the engine removal is required. I tried knocking on the solenoid with no results.

The front axle was installed at an angle.
Is there a recommended procedure to align the axle? The two ideas I can guess at is to find a centerpoint on the body or frame and use that as an alignment point like one would align a trailer axle to the hitch or to assume the spring mounting points are precise enough to just center the axle between the two on each side.
My 2007 Camry has developed a loud popping noise when sliding the sunroof open. It's as though the sunroof is getting caught under the vehicle roof before it moves to slide open. The motor labors pushing the sunroof past vehicle roof. I see no obvious obstruction. The sunroof makes no noise when going to the tilt position. I have tried the initialize process, but the problem persists.
View 14 RepliesI've taken my Camry in several times (service and warranty issues). One of the issues was a squeaking noise coming from the sunroof area. It was driving me crazy especially with the weather changing it was a lot more noticeable. I took it in and they said they fixed the problem by adding insulation to the roof. Well, the noise was still there. I took it again today and the Master Technician came out and wanted me to show him what I was talking about.
We went for a short ride around the dealer parking lot. He heard the noise and told me to drive to the detailing area. He then proceeded to get a paper towel with some cleaner and wiped the metal opening around the sunroof area and the black seal on the sunroof. He then got another paper towel and put some sort of lubricant and voila the squeaking noise is gone! I keep my car very clean and wipe down the sunroof area every time I wash my car. He said to go ahead and put some type of protectant (Meguiars) so it keeps the rubber moist.
I thought it was something serious with my sunroof turned out to be a very simple applying of protectant to a piece of rubber.

View 1 RepliesToyota camry SE 2012. The sunroof is stuck on the open position. It is fully open and the motor does not make any noise. The fuse is ok. Nothing seems stuck on the track just from a quick glance. I am hoping to find a way to manually close it if it is possible.

Can it be removed and replaced just by taking off the center plate with the switch and map lights? How does that piece come off so I can look, anyway? I have no directions for the kit. To change the filter is it as simple as close the valves and spin off the filter and put a new one on?
Any need to bleed the system?
