I have a 2006 Camry SE and the key fob isn't working when I press the buttons. I have to press it a couple times to get the doors to lock or unlock (trying to open the trunk is ). Before it took only one little press to work properly. Thought it was the battery in the fob going, so I replaced it. No luck. Is there something in the car itself that picks up the button press from the fob that could be going bad?
View 3 RepliesI just bought a used Japanese made Gen 5 Camry. The passenger rear view mirror does not move correctly. it will go left/right and sometimes down, and the movement does not match the buttons pressed. I've bought 2 replacement mirrors on Amazon and both do the same thing. I tried to swap l/r mirrors for testing. The driver side mirror works fine when plugged into passenger side, but all three passenger side mirrors do not work correctly when plugged into drivers side.
Should I try buying a mirror for a American made Camry? What is the difference?
The buttons on my keys would randomly not work and then hours later or seconds later it would work again. Then later it won't work. I can't seem to find the pattern but so far it seems that it will randomly work and not work. I even tried changing the battery and that did nothing. I went to the dealership but once they started working on the car it key buttons worked and they couldn't get it to not work. I can start the car and manually lock and unlock the car. The buttons just won't work at times.
View 3 RepliesJust want to get some input before throwing in the towel. The horn doesn't work as pressed from the steering wheel. Took the horns out and tested it manually by connecting it to the positive terminal and ground of the vehicle. One (high) didn't work while the other (low) worked. I purchased an aftermarket replacement for the high pitch horn and installed it. Still nothing. Checked the fuse inside the fuse box by the right side engine bay and it is ok. Can't find the location of the relay since we bought this used from the dealership. No manual and the cover to the fuse box (inside the vehicle) was missing.
View 7 RepliesNo matter how I press or hold them nothing changes on the display. Unfortunately nothing turns up for me on a google or PC search for this issue so that can't be good for an easy fix. I saw one thing about a bad switch but not details. I just bought this 2010 Prius with 52k miles yesterday.

View 10 RepliesI've got a 2007 Prius and the buttons on one of the smart keys no longer works. With the key in hand, I can touch the door handle and the door will unlock. I can also turn the car on without placing the SKS in the slot. However the lock/unlock/emergency buttons don't work. Everything works fine on my other SKS so I don't believe it's something with the car. I've also checked the KEY button below the steering wheel - it's out.
I've just changed the batteries on the broken SKS. Even going as far as pulling the battery out of the completely functional SKS and putting it into the broken SKS. Still, the three buttons don't work.
Having problems with their radio buttons sometimes working, sometimes not? I'm wondering if I need to "pop off" the buttons and clean contacts or if I'm going to have to replace the radio. This is in a 2008 Saturn Aura, but I'm sure this radio is in other GM cars.
View 3 RepliesIt seems as if the navigation system on my wives 07 Prius has failed. Basically, all of the buttons on the right side of the MFD don't work. Whenever we press the navigation button the screen goes dark green or has a striped vertical screen.

View 5 RepliesI have an issue with my 06 GS430.
This all started this morning when I first started the car. The clock does not display, all of the buttons to the left, right, and bottom DO NOT work (this is NOT good because I cannot control the climate, turn on a/c, heater, NOTHING) navigation touchscreen works (but again navigation push buttons to the right of the screen do not work).
So, the only thing that works is the Radio and the Navigation touch screen! Also, all of the push buttons surrounding the navi screen do not illuminate at night when lights are on.
Things I have done:
-Checked fuses (IG)10A ECU-IG RH, (ACC) 7.5A ACC, (BAT) 7.5A TV, RAD 1,2,3
-Hard Reset - Disconnected Neg. Battery Cable for 20 min.
Is there anything else that I can check for or is my entire Navi Console Unit shot?
I may have a problem with the lights behind the buttons surrounding the Multi Function Display on my 2013 Prius (ex. "SEEK", "TRACK", "AUDIO", "SETUP", "CAR", etc.). The other night I parked the car and turned the headlights off for about 5 minutes (I generally leave the lights on at all times when the car is running - day and night). I turned the lights back on and when I did I noticed that the lights behind the buttons surrounding the MFD were no longer functioning (so you really can't see the buttons in the dark now). My wife tells me that they've always been like that, but that just doesn't make any sense to me (I'm almost positive they were working before I turned the lights on and off). About 2 and 1/2 months ago I installed an is imple gateway so I could hook up a SiriusXM xv200, but I wouldn't think I would get a problem like this from doing that 2.5 months after the fact. A couple of questions:
1. Should these buttons light up (or is my wife correct that I'm crazy)?
2. Could the problem be the isimple gateway?
I have a 2006 Prius. For some reason I've noticed that the buttons on the steering wheel Do NOT glow and they do NOT work...
Horn doesn't work either! And the light on the driver side door (for windows/lock/unlock) are NOT lit up either...?? It's all black and dark @ night..
Is there a fuse/relay for these type of things? If so...where do I start looking?
I took off the Airbag from Steering wheel and removed steering wheel to double check everything...and everything looks good. No damage. Wires are all connected well etc.
I have a 96 buick regal custom. I tried to program a keyless fob through the trunk it dint work and now my lock buttons on the inside of my car don't work but yet they automatically lock and unlock when I turn on the car when I go into and out of park gear.

Where else i can look. Everything seems working. Reverse light is fine. Is that related to latest brake light switch recall? Cant think of anything else.
View 4 RepliesWhen the weather gets to below freezing and I start my van in the morning the brake pedal will not push down no matter how hard I push. The first time this happened I was moving and had no brakes for seconds. Luckily no one was in front of me. If I warm the van up just a couple of minutes I can feel it release and then the brakes are fine. I've taken it to the Honda dealer twice and also an independent mechanic and no one can find anything wrong with my brakes. I know I can wait until the van warms up but should this situation be happening? I never experience this in my Caravan or any other vehicle.
View 6 RepliesOpen up the radio and put black touch up paint on 3/4 of the surface area of each LED along the side, there are 4 each side. This is a pic with 1/2 done and it was still a bit bright. so I opened it up again, it takes time, and lots of patience. Worth it though , maybe. If you are smarter than me, you can find the illumination wire back there (green/silver) harness/connector closest to driver, wire closest to driver again....up top (above blue/yellow wire) and stick a pot or resistor or whatever the heck....As for a/c lights, dont bother, it is almost impossible.
