View 4 RepliesMy neighbor asked me to look at her "car". The car is around a '92. After taking the column apart, I found the problem. The PLASTIC piece connecting the ignition switch to the ignition box broke. I would like to know the name of that part, and anywhere one can be found(new). I know I probably have to remove the steering wheel, and of course, the ignition switch.

View 4 RepliesI have a 2013 elantra gt. Recently my steering wheel controls just stopped working, I'm over miles on the warranty so if I take it to the dealer it'll cost a fortune. View 9 RepliesFor the past week I have had the steering wheel and traction control warning lights come on after I start the car after sitting for a long period of time. Once I drive the car a few feet the warning lights disappear. The model is a 2007 2.0T with 72,000 miles. What are next steps or should I head to the dealership? I'm out of factory warranty but have a third party warranty that expires at 75,000 miles.

View 21 RepliesThe song/radio station will automatically switch on its own randomly without my intervention.
I emailed the company, and they said to have me ground the unit to the chassis (had it grounded to same ground as aftermarket Kenwood radio), which I grounded it to the factory radio bracket screw (didn't change anything). I am using the 8011 Metra harness, which they said works for 2011 Corollas.
They suggested using the harness that comes with the unit (which you would need to splice into factory wires to do, messy, undesirable, did not do).
So far, what I've done was replace JUST the control unit with a new one, and now it is less frequently switching (1-3times every other 45min car ride, as opposed to 1-3times each car ride). So the frequency is much, much less, but still occurring.
The company suggests trying to replace the harness with another 70-8114 harness (have not done).
What else could be the cause? I was thinking about putting aluminum foil over the unit to stop interference. .
Strangely, after my battery died and the car was jump-started the volume control on the steering wheel is not working correctly. When I press the volume up switch, the sound actually decreases, and the volume down button does not function. The manual volume control on the radio works fine.
