Camry :: Decoding Of Code C0205
Jan 20, 2012
I recently purchase camry 09 and when I did the computer for the car it returns me P0012 and C0205 errors. I have searched for P0012 error and got an idea to check the oil control valve. but for C0205, what exactly I have to check for?

I recently had a CEL code for bank 2 cat converter.. I drove the car with the CEL for 8 months and one day the VSC and TRAC OFF light popped on and wouldn't go away. I took it to toyota and they told me that it is because the check engine light is on and once the CEL goes off the others should as well. Well i recently replaced the bank 2 cat and cleared the CEL and iv driven over 300 miles already the CEL has not come back on but the VSC and TRAC OFF light remain ON....

I have a 98 camry 4 cyl and am continually getting egr code po401. I've cleaned out and tested egr, replaced modulator and the vac switching valve. Replaced several hoses also. Car runs fine, in fact this code came the day after traveling 700 miles. It comes back on fairly quickly after properly resetting computer and 1 or 2 drives.

My 2009 Camry came down with the p0157 code which I looked up & is oxygen sensor circuit, low voltage bank 2 sensor 2. I'm trying to figure out which side this is(driver or passenger)? Also have a p0430 code-catalyst system efficiency below threshold.

The check engine lamp on my '04 4cyl came on Saturday. I checked the code. It's P0441, which is supposed to be 'Evaporative emission control system incorrect purge.' I found a page on the web that said this might have to do with the gas cap. When I checked the cap it had not been tightened.
I've been driving it for 3 days and the check engine lamp is still on. How long should I expect it to take for it to extinguish? It seems unlikely to the point of incredible the gas cap was left loose (which I've never seen before) and another failure in this very system could have happened simultaneously. Particularly since this is the first time the check engine lamp has come on in 9 years and over 100,000 miles

I have a 4 cyl 02 camry LE. Recently the CEL came on and a few minutes later the oil light. after a day or so they went away. When it happened, I immediately went to the auto parts store and they checked the engine codes and got only one the P1349 repeated several times.
About 6 months ago my water pump leaked and that was replaced along with the timing belt. Shortly after that I had the oil changed and they over filled it i found out. I changed the oil and that was fine. i did develop a slight oil leak from the top passenger side of the engine though. so far i don't notice my oil level dropping. I just see some oil spray in that area. I mention this as they seem related to the code.
The code relates to Possible causes
- Dirty or low engine oil
- Valve timing
- Oil control valve
- Variable Valve Timing controller assembly
- Engine Control Module (ECM)

My friend has a 07 Camry 4cyl and has code P0606, Engine control module/Powertrain control module processor. The car runs and drives good. My friend recently got the piston rings replaced about a month ago for the recall, and he told me the service light was not on when he dropped off the vehicle. After he got it back it wasn't on and just came on a few days ago. Hard to believe the ECM is bad on the car, I'm thinking it was something with the removal and install of the engine causing P0606. Does it need to be reflashed?

My CEL came on and is throwing code P0430. Is it just an o2 sensor? if so which one primary or secondary?

So I had a P0606 code which points to a PCM/ECU fault. It would come and go and not really cause much of a problem with driving. It did stall once but it started right back up. The light would come on for half a day and go off. Rinse and repeat......
The dealer replaced it today under my extended warranty. Sure enough, the CEL returned today. I haven't had the code read but I can only assume it will be P0606 again.

My 2006 Camry V6 had the code P0420 before. I replaced 2 downstream O2. Now it throws code P0136. What should the next step I am looking for here? Is it a CAT issue?
If I need to replace CAT, do they have custom (modify) CAT to improve the performance?

ABS and Brake light coming on and staying on with an '04 Camry 4cyl XLE? I've found posts here of it flashing and wheel speed sensor codes etc, but nothing on it staying on and not re-seting.My code reader is not picking up any codes, I tried jumping pins 4 and 13 on the OBD port to read the code that way, and get no flashes from either ABS or Brake light, and tried the 8 pedal press method to reset the lights with no luck.
Before this, I was starting to get a little noise vibration at around 50mph which seemed to be from right front wheel, so on the wild guess that the bearing had gone bad and damaged the wheel speed sensor or tone ring, I pulled the sensor and it physically looked ok, and tested out at ~ 1kOhm.I checked all the fuses for the ABS system and they all tested ok.

My 07 camry had the service engine light on for a few days, figured it was just the typical oil change interval and was going to get to it this weekend when I had a chance. On the way home tonight I got a double wammy, check engine light and the message center indicating I had an issue with the VSC system.
Got home and pulled the code P0025 telling me that the B camshaft position timing over retarded in bank 2.
I was just getting ready to pull the engine on my 97 landcruiser to do a HG and fix several oil leaks, including the upper oil pan. Nothing on the cruiser scares me, this does. Now this kind of shocks my system as I was not prepared for it.
This is a 07 XLE with the 3.5 liter 6. It has about 138k on the clock. I do get a bit of a shudder when accelerating hard but that has been there since I bought this last summer.

What to do to get rid of P0031 check engine code on my 4 cyl. Camry LE. He replaced O2 and A/F sensor (Denso with CA emission), computer module (got dealer calibrated it), verified wiring/voltages, inspected the catalytic converter. When the code is cleared it will not come up for some time, but when the car is started cold it comes right back again.
