I am getting these pads with centric/powerslot rotors. I just cant find the difference between these 2 pads.
I was interested to purchase the 2016 GX460. Dealer was explaining me the Technology pkg and the Executive pkg. When I researched on the internet, I see that there is a Premium pkg also. tell me the difference between the Technology pkg and Premium pkg.

what is the best brand and from which vender can i get it from.
I'm getting sick of having my rims getting dirty after one hour of driving because of all the brake dust that the OEM pads give off. I keep hearing from shops that ceramic brake pads are not only more quiet but will put out much less brake dust. On the other hand, Lexus is telling me that if I do that, I will forsure damage the rotors but I really feel like they just want me to keep the car stock which is why they're saying that.
Are ceramic brake pads a bad idea with stock rotors?
i have a 2010 Corolla XRS and was wondering the following:
-How good are ceramic brake pads?
-Do they last longer than normal OEM pads?....under normal driving.
I was considering buying a complete set of drilled rotors and ceramic pads for my car.
A recent Car Talk column mentioned advantages to ceramic brake pads.
So, when I took my wife's '92 Accord EX in for routine service I asked about them.
Service knew nothing and referred me to Parts. The Parts guy said they don't use them, adding "They wear the rotors faster!"
Is this really a problem???
I have a very strange problem with my Premium Audio Entune system. While listening to the radio I get repeats of one to two words quite often.
I did notice when this happens the "HD" radio indicator comes on in the display. After a time the HD indicator goes off, and when it comes on again I get the audio repeat again.
The problem started a while after my last Toyota system update to the sound system. Is it related to the update?
i am going to get rims and have never bought tires before for rims.
when i googled images it looks like the 205/50 look thicker than the 205/45. but i couldn't find a good comparison.
the 205/50 is the right size for my 2003 camry, but i want a low profile look. can you see a difference between 205/45 and 205/50?
also does it matter if i get 205 or 215?
Whats the difference? which one is better? Im in the market for a cabin air filter, but I noticed there are ones that are similar to the OEM material, and then there are Charcoal cabin air filters? What is so special about a charcoal air filter?

View 3 RepliesSo I just installed my centric hubs that allow you to use 4x4it rotors. Along with some ebc rotors and pads front and rear. Well the "gear" that gives the signal to the wheel sensor is off center so now my abs and brake light are on cause it keeps losing the signal (checked with a solas pro). How well did they stand behind their product. Thought I should add they are still on my truck because my old rotors and wheel bearings were totally fried.

View 14 RepliesI just thought I'd mention this observed wear of brake pads...I just replaced all 4 up front after about 128k miles...
@ 114k miles it was observed that 1 of the 2 pads of each front wheel had worn significantly more than the other (the inner more than the outer pad IIRC)....my expert mechanic rotated the two and I got another 14k miles out of them...I could have gotten a LOT more had they been rotated @ 50-80k miles.
I don't know if this is extraordinary, or more typical than I'd have thought...or a function of (failing?) calipers, or just how these (MY) calipers work, or just my driving habits (though I've owned the car for only 30k of the 128k miles on the odometer)....but....
In my case the new pads will get a 50k mile inspection and possible rotation if there is uneven wear between outer and inner pads....
I'd recommend that pads be inspected for (uneven) wear at one of the scheduled tire rotations....rotating the pads isn't much of a job, but it might be something for you to consider to get the most miles from the pads (that and better braking too perhaps).
I bought my 2008 last year at 23,000 miles. They brake pedal will go pretty low to the floor and the brake pads do not bite good. Now at 40,000 miles is doing the same thing. I was in downtown a couple of times and I had to slam on the brakes as traffic is crazy. It would not stop and keep on rolling. It was really scary. I am pretty sure it has the original brake pads. I can change the pads but I have a feeling that there is air in the lines. The brake fluid in the reservoir has never dropped. I believe it has ABS. Anything special on 2008 model with ABS ? I will try to bleed it and also changed the pads. My question is, is it possible to have air in the lines at 23,000 miles ?

It was done last week and she is braking fine. But sometimes now when I brake there's a low-medium squeaking sound from the brakes. Is this normal / what's the likely cause?

I changed the front brake pads and resurfaced the rotors. After putting everything back together, I took the car to test drive it. The stopping power is fine and there is no squeaking or robbing sounds. However, when I apply the brakes at lower speeds moving forward there is knocking sounds the comes with the tire rotations. What is the reason for this sound?
This is my second time changing the pads and rotors, with the first with no issues. I put grease between the shams and the pads, and I sprayed the rotors with brake cleaner before the installation.
