The bulb in my dome light started to flicker all of a sudden and now it won't even turn on. It will not turn on whether the switch is in "Door" or "On" position. I put back the original bulb to see if the bulb burnt out but still nothing.
All other interior lights/exterior lights work except for the bulb in the middle of this picture. I'm thinking it may be a fuse....
The bulb in my overhead dome light has burnt out. I have the 194 wedge bulb. I have a moon roof. The owners manual gives no instructions to replace the bulb. I have looked the area over and do not see any easy way to gain access. Any instructions to replace the bulb?

View 3 RepliesI wanted to replace the bulbs in my map light but ran into some problems. I was able to remove the first see-through plastic cover on the light. Also I was able to twist one of the bulbs out of the socket so it was loose but there didn't seem to be a way to pull the bulbs out of their metal holders. I tried with medium to light pressure on the right side bulb and it slipped from my fingers and jumped back into the area on the other side of the metal holders. Now I can't see it or reach it. What do I need to remove to retrieve the bulb and how do I remove it?
View 6 RepliesI just put in my LED kit and no matter what polarity I try the front and rear domes are faint and flicker when turned on by a door opening. They work fine when turned on by the dome switches. I did the rear domes first and after some switching of bulbs they started to work. I went and did the front domes and again after some switching they seemed to work, but now they're acting up again when I open a door.

For example I have been told that on the sixth generation Camry you have to remove the bumper to change the turn signal bulb. I have never had to deal with this, just what I have been told.
View 14 RepliesYesterday as soon as I started my car, I noticed a high pitched whining noise. As I drove, it seemed to stop, but as I slowed down and idled, it came back. After driving a couple miles, the battery light came on, so I turned off the AC, radio, and lights and it went off again, but as I sat at stop lights it would flicker on and off again.

Has happened twice now but last night I had to disconnect the battery. A few years ago the driver's door switch was replaced for the same reason. I would do it again but I can't find anything that looks like a switch. Where that thing is? It is a '98 Explorer XLT.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2007 Hyundai Accent. The interior dome light won't turn on, the trip mileage recycles every time the car turns on, the feature that won't let the locks lock while the key is in the ignition and the car is off doesn't work (what's that called), and the dashboard clock is dead.
The visor fell off and the two wires that provided the lighting for the visor mirror touched something, and I guess, shorted everything. Is there a fuse(s) I can change or do I need some serious electrical repair?
I have a weird problem. My recently installed stereo (aftermarket) is not working. There is a red light on the main dial that indicates that it is "off", but it will not turn on. Nothing is displayed on the main stereo panel, hiting power doesn't work, no turning on the various modes: only the weird red ring. The dome light still works, as do the map lights. Which fuse should I be looking at? Or is it an inline fuse gone just badly enough that it can power the "off" light but not the actual stereo?
View 1 RepliesSo I locked my keys in the truck and road side assistance pried the door with the hand pump airbag. After which the dome light won't turn off. The drivers door which they pried remains open about 2mm more then the passage light but if I lean on it the light still dosent shut off. This is a 2010 ford ranger. What I should try/check first?
View 2 RepliesMy turning light needs a bulb replacement (I believe, since when I click to turn right it makes quicker clicking sounds). Does this mean bulb is out or wiring is out?
As for the side light (also on the right) has fallen off and can no longer be screwed back in place as that part has broken off so I will be buying the replacement part/lamp. However, when it fell, the wiring was disconnected so i have lost the bulb and any connection to it. I think I still have the rubber wiring harness, just missing the wiring & bulb.
So my light bulb burnt out of the gear shift lever and I see it but I can't grab it because the gear shift cover is in the way so how can I remove it?
View 3 RepliesSo I left my lights on because there was no warning buzzer to tell me so. This happened once before when the driver door would not turn on the dome light. I went for the door switch and it was bent. Bent it back and buzzer worked and dome light worked.This time nothing. Switch is ok. traced wire from switch and it is ok.

Just replaced drivers side door latch on my 99 explorer sport 3 days ago with no problems but now all of a sudden I noticed after I closed door the dome lights would stay on and I made sure all door were closed tightly so i unplugged the battery and plugged it back in and the dome lights came right back on. What this could be or how to fix it?!
View 9 RepliesCan't figure out how to turn on dome light, so I broke down and did the un-thinkable, I read the manual.... from page 66
Press and hold the top of the control to the full on position to activate the "dome on" feature. This will turn on the interior courtesy lights. The lights will remain on until the bottom of the control is pressed.

And no luck. Can hold the button down for a long, long time. The dimmer function works OK so the buttons are working. I would like to be able to turn on the rear light so my kids can buckle themselves.
My T-rex was in recently for what seemed like 30 recalls... In the midst of it...my turn signal light bulb went out. They changed it...good thing cause you need to remove the ENTIRE headlight assembly with a special tool, etc. Well...my headlight now goes on/off as it hits bumps etc...was back in once to have it fixed...and has since started again. I noticed the entire assembly does not fit as well (tight) as it did originally, nor like the other assembly that has never been touched. Appears to have been the first assembly they have worked on and broke something cause now it does not mount properly...so after all that...
Had this headlight assembly removed?
I recently had to change the dome light in our 2012 Toyota Camry so I took some pictures and wrote a simple how to guide. The interior light assembly should be the same for 2007-2012. I definitely recommend changing to an LED light while you are at it, they last longer and are brighter. The OEM bulb number is DE3175 but I hear a lot of people like the PUTCO 231125 LED replacement bulb.

I have a 2004 Accord. The radio died a slow death (going on and off at will.) It's finally dead, now. The other strange thing, is the the dome light comes on when I make a left turn. The mechanic I took it too couldn't figure it out, and told me to take it to the dealer.
