My alarm and interior lights dont work after a vled installation. Basically when I was installing the interior LED's and I had the Map lights working and as soon as I tried to replace the Dome light my map lights, my Map lights lost power including my OEM alarm failed to work again. What to do because I atleast need my alarm to work....
View 4 RepliesI decided to put white LED lights in my map light(the front 2 light) and after I put on the bulb I turn the light on and all my interior light including my dome light went off. My car clicker the trunk, alarm, door lock, and unlock doesn't work either so how do I fix. I don't know if I blew a fuse and I can't check as I don't have my car manual.

1. Key fob -- keyless entry and alarm stopped working
2. high beam doesn't come on when headlight is on. However, when headlight is off, it comes on--go figure
3. Power door lock also does not work, even from driver side door. Have to lock all doors manually
4. Interior lights don't come on when door is open.
I just bought HID for my fog lights. I was looking all over the internet for how to install them, but i couldn't find any. I have a 2013 Camry SE. It came with stock fog lights. Also there is a lip cover on the bottom of my bumper. I was wondering how to install HID fog lights successfully?
View 4 RepliesWe have a 2007 toyota camry 2.4l which had a engine problem so car needed a rebuilt engine. so we went to auto repair shop and they installed a rebuilt engine.But when we went to pickup the car the owner of the shop said our a/c is not working and he doesn't know why. he said its a/c compressor clutch is not working. the a/c was working fine before the engine installation. when I talk to other people (different mechanics) they all say that the repair shop who installed the engine caused the a/c problem. How can I prove that so I maybe can sue the guy in a small claims court? for a good gesture the owner of the shop offered us free labor on installation of a/c compressor but not on part which I can bring my own. I need detail argument. people say that in order to win in a small claims court we need many supporting explanation from experts. we just want the a/c to work again. car drives fine after new rebuilt engine.
View 10 RepliesI pulled the TFL pin from the back of the harness plug that goes to the headlight switch (Euro one at that) but not only did it kill the all the dash, console, switch light, but the DRLs stayed. Pin was the 3rd one from the left on the top row if you look at the harness plug as it sits in the car. Thicker gauge red wire.

I just got my 2013 Elantra in Pearl White GLS Preferred Package about a month ago, and since then the interior lights fuse has blown twice. The first time I took it back to the dealer and they replaced a fuse. It then worked for about a week or so and they're out again. Also, the passenger fog lamp keeps just blowing bulbs.
View 8 RepliesOkay so I was trying to change my rear reading lights, but the lights started to flicker on and off, I thought the connecter was loose.
Stupidly I took metal pliers and bent the connectors a little closer to each other. And now the interior lights don't work =.=
Could the metal pliers on the metal connectors have blown a fuse or something?
I installed my dome light, map light, and rear license plate LEDs with no problem a couple of months ago. When my LEDs for the vanity lights came in today, I immediately went to install them. The first one on the driver's side was installed without a hitch, but after I installed the second one on the passenger side, none of the interior lights worked. The only difference in installation I can think of is that I disconnected the light on the passenger side as opposed to keeping it plugged in on the driver's side.
View 6 RepliesAll of my interior lights went out. Except for dome lights etc. Here's a more detailed description. Every light effected by the dimmer on the left side near the ECS button don't work. I'm assuming it's a fuse.
Cluster gauges still work fine. The lights just don't work.
Note: Both headlights are out so I don't know if that could be connected in some way. Haven't been able to change them yet.
So, which fuse this would be? I can't seem to find it. Or if it could even be a fuse?
I have a 2003 accent and i no longer have interior lights or a door chime working..
I did have a electrician friend change out my hatch last week and pretty sure he shorted out the fuse. I can't seem to see what fuse it would be all seem good
From me checking around i am lead to belive the it could be (shunt connector, memory fuse, power connector, joint connector m31) multiple names for the same thing.
How would i check this? How is it removed?
One of my interior bulbs had blown and all of the others was still working ! I replacement the blown bulb and now none of the work!!
I've had a look thought the manual and cannot find a fuse for this, how to sort this.
I am switching my dome lights map lights etc to LED, and is having trouble removing the original bulb, any special ways to remove it, it seems stuck in there....

View 4 RepliesThe last week or so i been having problems when I go to start my car. The car wont turn over unless the battery is boosted. Seems pretty straight forward I know, DEAD BATTERY..but I have tried 2 batteries, one I know for sure is good. And again same things. Recently my interior lights stopped working. I read that is could be the courtesy control module, could this also be causing the battery to be drained? It only happens over night, when I go to school and its parked for 7-8 hours its fine, but over night it dies.
View 1 RepliesSo I know these posts a a dime a dozen but unlike most i know what did to cause the lights to go out.
I unplugged the dimmer switch harness and headlight switch harness to clean the air vents. When i plugged everything back in, none of the red or blue backlighting turns on when i turn the headlight switch. The instrument cluster and all the trim remains dark.
At first my turn signals were not working but they have begun working again. headlights and break lights all work. and my interior dome lights work.
I checked every fuse i could think of that would relate to the interior lighting and everything looks fine there. is there something else i can check?
Just Bought 97 Ranger 2.3L 5 speed. Everything worked except interior cab light and cab brake light. Also the wipers and A/C blower only work on highest speed when I bought it. I assumed there was a problem with the switches, bulbs and/or fuses. But when I picked it up last evening I noticed the dash lights were very dim on the way home. Then when I got home I shut everything off and removed the key. I then opened the drivers door and touched the brake pedal and the dash lights and the parking lights came on along with the "key in ignition" bell alarm each time I touch the brake pedal. If I close the door the dash and parking lights come on but the key in ignition does not sound. With so many things malfunctioning I don't know where to start.
View 7 RepliesI have a 1997 ford f-150 flareside 4x4 and the interior lights have not worked since I purchased the truck.I checked the bulb and it was burnt out so I replaced it and still does not work.
The truck was hit on the 3rd door on the passenger side before I bought it and I think they may have done something to keep the interior light from coming on by accident when not shutting the door all the way.
I checked the number 14 fuse which is where I think the interior fuse it on this truck, what I could check to be my problem?
Just installed my new fogs in my 2012 LE and the install went GREAT! The switch has an LED in it to illuminate it AND one that comes on when you turn fogs on. What circuit I could tap into to dim that led? In lieu of that can you just put a resistor in the circuit to permanently dim it? I have the factory Wire diagram, so I will look for a light that is dimmed with the dash lights.

The interior lights don't work anymore, the clock on the dash resets to 1 o'clock when the car is shut off and the driven miles reset every time as well. I have checked all the fuses and they are good. Someone went in and looked at the wires behind the CD player and they didn't see anything wrong. What could cause this issue? (Subaru Outback 2000)
