Camry :: AC Just Blowing Hot Air
May 29, 2012
So yesterday I'm driving back from delaware with 90 degree weather. And decide to finally use the A/C. It gives same amount of pressure as always when its blowing out air. But this time it was just blowing hot hair. What could be wrong with it?

Recently my a/c went out and was blowing hot air. I took it down to the dealer and they wanted 200 to even take a look at it so i said i would be back later. Today I went to a auto store thinking it was just out of freon but come to find out my compressor doesn't turn on. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping its something simple and small.

Issue - AC blows hot air
Back ground - During the month Jan 2014, my car slipped because of ice on the road with this my bumper was damaged. While fixing this the dealership noticed slight damages to the condenser and it was replaced too. It hard to tell if AC worked at all after the fix as it was one of the worst winters of Chicago.
So in summer my AC started behaving strange AC works some times and sometimes blow really hot air. I took it to the dealer ship they are telling me its a bad compressor. Also this issue is not related to the fix they made.
Some other info:
- There is no leak
- Pressure on intake of the compressor is 115 and high pressure side is 100 psi(which is strange)
Replacing a compressor is costly affair, so I want to be really sure its compressor. The thing is its works some but sometime it does not and I am afraid to leave it as it is because in the long run it might cost me even more.

After long day/night on call, get into 2005 Camry XLE 2.4L and it is blowing hot air out of vents unless I select max AC where it blasts so much cold air I cant stand it. Brand new issue and had no other indications of any issues. No engine light on and vehicle appears to be operating normally.

I have a 2006 Toyota Camry SE with about 6,xxx miles on it. Called up the dealership I bought it from and they are going to charge me an arm n log to see what is going on.
The issue is there is no air blowing from Lo-High, all lights work except A/C, so i'm guessing its not the AC/Heat control.
This is what I've done so far in DYI:
1. replaced Blower motor Resistor.
2. Check the Fuse underneath the steering wheel. (Still Good)
this is what I'm going to do next:
1. Buy A/C relay $75+ tax (dealer)
2. Change Blower Motor $175+ tax (dealer)

I just got my led switch back lights in for my 08 camry. But I have run into a problem I have installed all four led signal lights (switch backs in the front and led ambers in the back) and the led flash relay for my car. What is happening is that the led will turn on for a couple of seconds and then the fuse for the signal lights burns out both the one under the dash and the one under the hood.

My wife called and said the air conditioning is only coming out on the passenger side.
The drivers side is blowing outside temp air.
Also, the A/C button light does not turn off when you push it.
And, the Max A/C, or recirculate light, won't go out either.

I have a 2013 Camry SE that is, out of the blue, not blowing any air from the HVAC system. I checked the 2 A/C fuses any they are ok. The lights light up on the control panel like normal and the rear window defogger works correctly, so I don't think it's the control panel. I can't find any fuses or relays relayed to the blower motor in either fuse box.
What else should I check? The car is still under warranty (for a month!) but if it's a cheap and easy fix, I'd rather save the hassle of giving it to the dealer for a day and fix it myself.

Yesterday the AC worked fine, until I got off work. Then it was blowing as usual, but almost warm air, it wasn't enough to cool the car. When driving and I turn it on, I do see the RPM's lower slightly. A co-worker looked at the compressor and clutch while I turned it on and he said they both are working. He did not see any bubbles in the little window on the line though. The light on the control button is not blinking and the in cabin filter isn't dirty.

Last night driving I noticed that the passenger side vents are not blowing hot air when the heat is on, but I noticed the driver side vents were blowing very hot air. Does this mean I could have a bad heater core, or a clogged heater core?

Recently my 2003 Camry LE is blowing out a big puff of bluish/white smoke in the mornings when I first start the car or after extended periods of non-use. But I am not getting any smoke any other time that I can detect. The temperature here doesn't drop much below 70 degrees if it does. What could this be and how can I remedy it?

Every 3 or 4 days my 2000 Camry 4Cyl Std Tranny keeps blowing out the 30A Buss Fuse in the under hood fuse box. What this fuse runs and what could be the problem. I don't think my Fan Motors are running could this cause the Fuse to pop.

The other day in 90 degree weather I found that the left side vents where blowing warm air the right side is blowing cold air ,I checked the settings and vent controls to rule out driver error. Living in South Florida A/C is not an option its a necessity. Especially driver side air.

My car had some minor front end damage repaired by a body shop. Since I got it back the a/c takes longer to start blowing cold air. If I drive it daily the a/c starts up normally. But if the car sits for a few days, it may take anywhere from 3-5 minutes before it blows cold. I've taken it back to the body shop who has in turn taken it to a dealer and nothing was found.

There have been two occurrences where the air conditioning has stopped blowing cold air (blows warm) and the indicator led on the switch is blinking on and off. This has happened twice, about a month apart. The air is generally plenty cold. Does this means the air is going out on my 2002 camry ?

02 Camry with 202k. Recently my car has been blowing cold air only when it's on heat. Then it will start to overheat causing me to stop and pull over and I see little smoke come out. Also it has been leaking antifreeze and when I make sharp turns or come to a stop I can hear water or something behind the dash...

I have a 4 cylinder 2000 Camry that I recently took to the shop because my check engine light was on and it was blowing out a puff of white smoke when the car first starts. I was told it was an EGR problem and this is what I had fixed:
"Upon client approval, remove and replace defective EGR Bypass Vacuum Valve with new (OE) EGR Bypass Vacuum Valve. Test drive vehicle following service to confirm proper operation. Warranty on parts and labor is 2 years or 20,000 miles (whichever comes first). Warranty valid at FIXCARNOW locations only. "
The problem is my car is still blowing out smoke, the check engine light is off, but it is having the same problems it did before. My concern is that either they didn't properly diagnose the problem, even though they ran a full diagnostic on the car, or just didn't fix it.

I have an 2004 Camry XLE which just had the coolant flushed. Now I only have heat on the driver side. It blows cold air in the rest of the car. Temperature runs normal. Antifreeze is full. I can get more heat if I recirculate from the inside rather than bring in air from outside. It is zero in NY. Car never heats up on HOT!

My 2008 Camry sometimes when I am driving the brake and ABS panel lights comes on and the A/C starts blowing hot air, also all the panel starts behaving crazy. We put the scanner and it does not show any issues, otherwise the car runs smooth.
