I drove and opened the windows. I came to a stop and tried to close the windows but passenger window wont go up. the lights radio speedometer and everything work but windows still wont go up. i tried the switch on the passenger door also. no luck.
I accidentally pressed the window lock.
Planning to take the 14.5 Camry in later next week. I've noticed the passenger window goes up/down considerably slower than the other 3. I know it's not specific to the passenger window, but have you guys experienced any given window quite slower than the rest? I don't think it's wear and tear since I have no passengers 85% of the time. Wonder if warranty still covers it within 2 years..
View 1 RepliesI've been able to do a few mods to my car! My passenger side window is able to slide down, but not able to slide upward at all. Now it's sitting about 2/3 of the way down without any hint of upward movement.
It is a 2013 SE.
Passenger window......When I try to close the window with drivers side switch, the windows hits the top then automatically reverses, and stops halfway. If I close it with the passenger switch, it remains closed.
View 4 RepliesI was driving down I-35 when all of a sudden I heard a loud boom sound and realized my rear driver passenger side window shattered and I was smelling a burning smell. I drove the vehicle directly to Don Ringler Service Station but they showed no concern or interest in looking into the issue and was told I would need to repair the vehicle at my own expense and never bothered to look into the burning smell issue.
View 4 Replies2000 Camry XLE. Driver's el.window quits on way up, but will start again if I wait for one or more minutes before retrying. The longer I wait, the farther up it will go. Not fun at toll booths on rainy days. Started a few month ago when I forgot to close windows and the controls got rained on. Initially, a blast of WD40 seemed to cure the problem, but no longer. Took arm rest controls out, but couldn't see any obvious problems. Is this an aging motor problem? Do I have to get ripped off by dealership serv. dept., or can any reputable garage do it? I'm worried about taking the whole panel off myself. Don't have the tools to do so, and don't want to rip "leather."

One thing I've found kind of odd is that I have a bit of a hard time closing the trunk. In most other cars I've had just pressing the trunk down gently will latch it (even if not fully closed) and it doesn't take much force at all to fully close. On my Camry, though, I feel like I have to slam it down pretty hard to get it to latch.
My front left door, when opening and closing, makes that grinding/clicking/popping type noise coming from the hinges (I'm guessing)...I'm searching for the correct word to use to describe it...like when the door would be off kilter or something and the metal is catching...if that makes sense...you can hear it when moving the door, not just at the halfway point of being opened/closed where it will stay in that position ... There has been no damage to that area...no weight put down on door when opened...and it started out of nowhere.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2013 accent and have been having and odd issue. Started a few months ago with the driver controls only being able to lower the front passenger window but not raise it. The passenger side control worked fine. Now months later the passenger control has also stopped working. If I move the switch around I can get it to move a little bit, but I really have to sit there and move it a certain way. What could be casuing this??
View 6 RepliesI just started to have a problem with the passenger side window on my 2004 Solara coupe. When closing the window it has started going up too far and then the door will not close. It gets very little use so it seems like worn parts may be unlikely.
If I lower the window slightly I can see that the window appears to be adjusted properly front to back based on how it fits in the weather striping, it just started going up too high. When lowered slightly the door and window work fine.
I'm not sure if this is just my unit, if so maybe I will talk to the dealer, but I noticed that the door 'rattles' when you close it while the windows are rolled down. This is true of all the doors.
I think basically the glass from the rolled down window shakes about when the door is slammed shut. You end up hearing the rattle and the general feeling is cheap. Other than that, the door feels solid if the windows are rolled up. I think maybe rolling it down, the window has less points of support on the free end. So it becomes looser and can rattle around. But when the window is rolled up, it has its free end fixed so it doesn't rattle.
So is it just my unit or does yours do that too? I noticed some cheaper cars I've either rented or test drove do this too. I believe the unit I test drove at the dealer did this too so maybe it is universal for all pre-2016 Tiguans?
I have a 99 Camry le 4door car. I recently bought a new motor and regulator. Reason being is the old one quit working one day. It rolled up just a little at a time then stopped before it closed completely. So I plugged the new assembly in to the harness and nothing. All other windows have power coming from the driver side cluster, door locks work fine as well. Passenger front window will do nothing from either switch.

I noticed after the car has been sitting for awhile, that it's quiet but when I decide to open the window and then close it it starts to rattle. Now this happens when driving over bumps or have the music turned up.
View 3 RepliesThe passenger window is making a grinding sound when going down. Sound starts after the window is about 50% down. There is no sound when the window goes up. From what I have been reading, it could be a motor going bad. There is no damage to the glass.
Does this sound like the motor will fail? I have a 100K extended warranty on the car which is soon going to run out. The warranty states that it covers the part but only in failure. Does this count as failure? Seems to be a bit of a gray area since the part is failing but the it is still funtional...
Will be taking the car to Toyota but wanted to get hear some thoughts before I did that.
I have some trouble with some rubber lining coming off my car, I'd like to re-attach it but don't know what kind of adhesive to use that is weatherproof and long lasting.

View 3 RepliesJust purchased a 2013 Lexus GS 350 Luxury with 22,000 miles. I took it to Lexus service for a recall and the rear window shade was not closing on one side. Service declined to cover it under warranty because they claim it was broke by a child or person. I purchased the GS 350 at Manheim using me dealer friends incense. The inoperable rear window shade was in the condition report but I never thought Lexus would not repair it under warranty....

Checked the roof and found there is a larger gap on the passenger side than on the driver side. That causes the unevenness of the roof, I think.
I have a 2010 F150 Lariat Super Crew. The rear sliding window does not completely close. I have read a few posts about lubricating the cable and tapping the window motor. I have leather seats with the rear arm rest, but cannot locate the window motor. I have lubricated the cable, on both sides while someone opened and closed the window.

Long story short, the tint shop burned my exterior door pillar when I got it tinted like 8 months ago. Just now felt like dealing with it, so I got the new part in. How to replace it? The back has a lot of what looks like double sided tape and only 1 clip. In order to get the other one off it looks like I have to take off the chrome strip at the bottom since the black molding goes underneath the chrome...

I recently purchased a certified 2013 Camry SE and just found the headliner bent above the rear window. I'm not sure if my 4 year old decided to take a look up in the headliner and bent it or if I missed it during initial inspection. It looks like it was pulled down with one finger and its kind of folded. Its at about the 1/3 point going across the upper rear window. It is a very small bend, only an inch or so deep. Any way to repair a bent headliner? Or have a link on how to repair it? I was thinking of using hot glue and a metal rod or plate but am concerned it may bleed through. Its very annoying to see it every day when looking in the rear view mirror.
