Camry 2012+ :: Windshield Always Has Smudges On It - Safety Concern?

I been having an issue with my windshield from quite sometime now. Its always dirty, it always has smudges on it and no matter how many times I try to clean it or wipe it down, it gets all those smudges again withing minutes. If I am driving and the sun hits it, it makes it even harder for me to see. Its really becoming a safety concern now. I am not sure if its something wrong with the vents up front or what. It happens way to much. Not only is it hard to see with all the smudges on the window, but the dashboard reflects on the windshield as well when the sun hits it causing me to see even less. It's at the point where it's becoming so annoying that I seriously thing there's something wrong with the car. Anything I can try to do cuz I find it weird that my window gets so many smudges non stop its crazy.

My stock tire size is 255/40/19 when shopping for tires the shop that installed the air ride suggest I go with 225/40/19 or 215/40/19, but when calling a few tire shops they are insisting those sizes are not recommended.
the difference is over the 3% threshold making it unsafe, what tire size I should go with while still being in the safety threshold ?

Yesterday I took test drive of Toyota Camry SE 2012 (New).It was really good, except: When I came out of the car, I felt some change in vision and a bit of headache. The feeling was something similar to when you wear glasses which has significant number for a minute and then you take them off.I figured out this was because of the windshield having some distortions. So, are all new Camrys like this only or there was something wrong with that particular windshield?

Is there a way to adjust the windshield washer sprayers to point them up higher on the windshield. I looked today and didn't really see any way to point them up more.? Mine probably hit the bottom 1/3 of the windshield and do not do that great of a job. Maybe I'm missing something?

I just picked up a 2014.5 Camry (my 1st Toyota) and how full the windshield washer reservoir should be at max level. Now hear me out before you fall off your chair from hysterical laughter, if I fill up the reservoir up to the lid like every other car I have owned, after a short drive it will go down and be below the filler neck, clear down under the fender even though I haven't sprayed the washer fluid.
I haven't seen any fluid dripping but I believe I have a leak. Sounds pretty cut and dry but I'm asking just incase Toyota has a weird fill level on the washer reservoir.

On my wife's 2012 SE Camry tonight there was a build up of frost on the inside of the front windshield. The windows weren't left open and there wasn't any water left in the car that I know about. We did get a couple inches of snow that morning/previous night but, I would expect the frost to be on the exterior of the window only and not both sides. I drive a 2010 jetta tdi and have worked the past 3 days in steady rain constantly getting in and out with wet shoes and my vehicle has no frost on the inside of the windshield. Call dealership? Seal issues? Heater core?

I just realized that my power steering fluid is leaking. It is reddish color and it is at the base of the windshield on the passenger side. my car has 40k miles. Is this normal and is this considered as power train and is it still under warranty. This really sucks to think that I bought the Camry for reliability.

When it rained recently, the windshield wiper started making a loud squealing noise whenever it would wipe down. When I would spray the windshield fluid, the noise goes away but returns when I stop. No noise when it wipes up or when the rain is light drizzle or very heavy. So only noisy when rain is medium to heavy.
I thought maybe something sticky got on the windshield so used a regular glass cleaner multiple times but it's still noisy. What it could possibly be???

I thought I would start a new thread on this issue. I recently had my car lose power and all warning lights on, I was able to coast to the shoulder and once safe I turned the car off, hoping that cycling the power would fix this odd problem. No such luck, the car was completely dead and unresponsive except for the door locks and the hazard lights.
So I hit the "SOS" safety connect button to get someone to come tow me. NO luck -- oops, I guess the car is *really* dead. I had my cell phone and the rest of the story is in another post.
Now here is my question: Is Safety Connect supposed to work when the car is off? It seems way less useful in case of an accident or malfunction if I can only call if I can turn the car on.

Having problems with a squeaking or ticking noise coming from the front windshield area on the passenger side? I took off the A-pillar and tweeter speaker cover, and the noise was still there. Pressing on the A-pillar did not work and it's not any of the cords or plastics in there rubbing. It almost sounds like it's behind the A-pillar. Pressing on the dash, windshield, headliner, etc. all have no effect on the noise.
I'm trying really hard to fix this myself because I'm worried about a tech tearing apart the dash trying to fix it. It might end up worse than it is now. I'm thinking this TSB will need to be done (which seems to apply to all Toyotas): [URL] ....
Next on my list to check is the passenger side mirror (make sure it's fastened securely) and also the black liner under the windshield wipers. I also have foam (like the kind you use when installing a window AC) which I may also try stuffing into the bottom of the front windshield (and maybe the top) to see if that works.
If all else fails, the car is going to the dealer I guess. The Camry is such a quiet car that the noise is really irritating in an otherwise quiet interior. Other than this noise, the car is great! Just a little bummed because my 2005 has zero rattles or noises and my gf's old 2009 also had no rattles or noises. The 2015 refresh is nice, though we're still on the fence about the front grille. My relative is waiting for the 2016's to be released later this year and then he will be buying one for his patrol car. The 2015 isn't a full redesign but it looks different enough that he wants to wait for the next MY to come out. He's dreading leaving behind his 5MT Civic but it needs to be replaced. He hasn't had an auto, ever, come to think of it..

Just purchased my 2010 IV a few weeks ago and have noticed some smudges on the display where you get your graph for fuel economy. I had thought they were just finger prints and they would wipe right off. Come to find out they seem to be smudges behind the plexiglass. It's a little annoying and I would live to clean it up. The smudges are most noticeable on the right side towards the top of the graph with a smaller smudge on the left side, also towards the top of the display.

Started up my car this morning and drove to the gas station. I had the car on low fuel, got the low fuel light last night but didn't have time to stop by a gas station to fill up. Anyways after I did finally fueled up this morning, I pulled out of the gas station and a very loud squeaking noise which sounds like metal on metal occurred. The noise is coming from the rear, but it's really loud, nothing I have ever heard before.
I will mention that I have Koni coilovers installed, tried to peak under the car and see if something broke or came loose but I was unable to see anything since I am sitting pretty low.
I live in Chicago and this morning was very cold. I am trying to figure out what my issue could be. I called up the dealer and he told me to drive it around for a bit and see if it goes away. Another guess would be that something got stuck between the rotor and the break pad. I have the stock break pads. What could it be?

So I have a 2012 Accent, recently as the temperature dropped my windshield fluid wasn't spraying well and would just squirt (weak spray). Realized that I had summer fluid, so I emptied out the fluid and added new winter fluid the windshield pump would work fine when my car is warmed up and in the garage and even after I've left it out in the cold for a few while. Once I took the car out and started driving it started to squirt again rather than spraying. Is this an issue with the pump? or is there another problem?

My rear windshield washer has stopped working, does the MkVI have a separate pump for the front and rear washer fluid sprayers? My front sprayer is still working, fluid is full, and I don't see any VCDS codes relating to the rear windshield washer motor. Since I am approaching a wet season, it would be best if the rear washer worked. I am still under warranty but just wanted to know if there are two sprayer pumps on our cars.
FWIW, I have not had a problem with the rear washer dripping and no TSB have been performed on the rear washer.

2012 Elantra GLS ... The windshield washer spray pattern is too low. The nozzles on the Elantra appear to be entirely plastic unlike the conventional ball which I can poke a needle in to adjust it. I ran the hand under the cowl cover and could not feel any kind of adjustment mechanism. How to adjust the nozzles to aim higher.

Just passed 30 months and 30k miles in my 2012 TDI SEL and suddenly the air conditioning fans blow harder as I press on the accelerator pedal.
To be more clear, as I accelerate, I can hear the windshield/defogger fans blow harder. When I let up on the accelerator the fan noise dies down. I tried adjusting the A/C settings to blow to the middle or feet only, and also enabling/disabling cabin air circulation. It only seems to be the defogger fans that do this.

My dealer says the windshield on my 2012 RX 350, which has < 8k miles, has to be replaced in order to fix the auto rain sensing function. Even though it is covered under warranty I'm confused and not happy with this. What is in the windshield that causes the problem? Could it just be the control sensor behind the rear view mirror, which they detached in their troubleshooting?

I have a Camry 2008 LE model and there is an issue when the a/c knob is set to send air through the main vents (driver side, center console, and passenger). If it is a humid day, I see fog spots on the windshield near the windshield vents underneath it. I feel very slight air coming out of it if I put my hand over the vents.
Also a couple years back, my car got broken into so a glass shard did enter the passenger air vent -- so maybe that glass shard is somewhere in the air passage where it doesn't allow the windshield vents to be completely shut?
