I would like to know if the Navigation system in Camry 2013 SE could play any video files. Would it recognize any DVD's or cd's with video format files.?

I think the current audio system is a big step back, its limitation reminds me of the $9.99 mp3 players. I was always able to use a 32GB stick, put my songs in folders, or at least be able to select the songs from a playlist. And when I started my your car again, the system would still remember my playlist. I did not have to wait 5 minutes for "gathering information" every time and than spend another 5 minutes looking for the album or composer I want to listen to.
Wife just purchased a 2013 Toyota Camry LE with 32,000 miles on it. Great looking car.Tried to use the aux input to play some music from my iPhone. Immediately noticed that on the first song I played, some of the vocals were missing (only played the music). Went to the next song and had the vocals but something still wasn't right (it was missing certain parts of the music that accompanied the song). Also in general the sound quality wasn't great compared to the audio input on my truck.

I have reformatted to make sure it is fat32 format. My ipad works with my music files, why won't the USB read my music. It is the same music on the ipad.

I've changed the clock for DST, but the navigation system did not fall back an hour. A trip of any length adds an hour. i.e. 30 minutes is shown as an ETA of 90.
I recently bought a 2008 F-250 lariat and it came with the single disk am/fm radio, i am wondering, can put the navigation touch screen radio in its place?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2011 F-250 Xlt that came with the standard radio/CD player and I wanted to replace it with a OEM Navigation Unit. I was going to have FORD install it once I can get my hands on one.
My question is:
1) Do I (just) need the head unit, or will I need wiring harness and other accessories? (the truck has sync, had xm radio)
2) Will the steering wheel buttons still function.
3) Is there anything I should know before attempting this
4) Will there be any repercussions.
So I found a guy selling an OEM Part # 86100-06040 navigation for cheap. Is it as simple as plug and play for switching it out on my 2013 Non Navigation Carmy Hybrid? Does all the steering wheel controls are there?
View 13 RepliesI have a 2013 Camry SE that is, out of the blue, not blowing any air from the HVAC system. I checked the 2 A/C fuses any they are ok. The lights light up on the control panel like normal and the rear window defogger works correctly, so I don't think it's the control panel. I can't find any fuses or relays relayed to the blower motor in either fuse box.
What else should I check? The car is still under warranty (for a month!) but if it's a cheap and easy fix, I'd rather save the hassle of giving it to the dealer for a day and fix it myself.
I bought brand new 2013 Camry SE yesterday night..it has been just 15 hours since I bought it..today morning when I tried to pair my phone with car multimedia system...it showed the screen that it is connecting and the little circle on the top right was moving in circle as if it was trying to connect and all of a sudden it just got hang up...right there....its not going any where...now.
Is there a way to reboot this multimedia system (just like you can reboot computer or phone)..??
I tried turning car on-off...tried setup -default on bluetooth settings etc...but no luck.
I have a 2013 Camry XLE with navigation. About 6 months ago I got an LG G3 phone which I was able to pair with the bluetooth and everything worked fine until recently. I can make out going calls with no problem but when I have an incoming call the system won't pick up the call. When I use the answer call button on the steering wheel or on the nav screen the phone stops ringing but I can't hear the person on the other end and they can't hear me. I have removed and added the phone several times and every once in a while it will work but then it stops again.

View 1 RepliesBasically, my JBL will intermittently only play sound from the tweeters. Sometimes it does this, sometimes it plays like normal (i.e. from all the speakers; therefore, I don't think the other speakers are blown). It's only happened to me twice, so I have yet to notice a pattern, but I suspect it may have something to do with the Bluetooth capability. It's just a guess, and I'm sure an unlikely one, but that's about it. I figure it could also be wiring, which I will find out when I take the area apart to get a closer look. But since it's playing from the tweeters that makes wiring or connection an unlikely culprit, right? It's not a major problem, just annoying, that's all.
View 4 RepliesThis is on a 2013 Toyota Camry XLE that has the V6. It has approximately 1,200 miles on it. This has happened six times since new. Sometimes, when at a complete stop, turning into traffic, using approximately less than quarter throttle (just enough to enter traffic) the vehicle has hesitated and bogged down almost to a stall. The operator isn't a "two foot" driver and the throttle is held steady. We've had it looked at twice, road tested both times without replication, ran diagnostics the second time and cleared the ECM and TCM so all learning values were reset. There are no TSBs or recalls that we know of. Its quite a safety concern being stuck when pulling into traffic.
View 14 RepliesJBL entune system sound leveler does not work on the 2015's. It doesn't have a setting adjustment ,it is either on or off. It is supposed to raise & lower the volume based on vehicle speed If it does work it is imperceptible . I contacted toyota corporate & of course they told me to ask the dealer. They have not offered any software updates for this system. I'm sure that is where this issue would be addressed. The local dealer agreed with me as well. I recently rented a Chrysler 200 and that system worked very well. It's pretty sad when something on a Chrysler works better than a toyota.
View 2 RepliesI installed some 5K HID's with 35W ballasts and a relay on my 15 toyota camry SE. When I start the system, it says check charging system and once the engine starts it goes away. I initially had 50W ballasts installed but I changed it to 35W as the 50W caused the HIDs to be too bright for my taste.
