View 4 RepliesWhat is the tire pressure that will trigger the TPMS to activate the warning light on the dash? I had 31psi in my left front and got no warning?
View 4 RepliesI can't find the button to reset the TPMS light on my dash. It's not even in the glove compartment.
View 7 RepliesSo does the 2014 have the option on the radio to check the tire pressure my grandparents 2012 does but mine does not?
View 13 RepliesI would like to know where's the tpms control module located ... I got a camry se v6 ...
View 2 RepliesI just purchased a 2014.5 Camry and winter is around the corner. I was going to buy a set of oem 17in SE rims and put snow tires on with out the tpms sensors. The question I have to ask is once the light comes on can you disable the traction control. Reason I ask is because on my 2011 accord it forces the traction control on and is sucks. Snow tires without the sensors.
View 5 RepliesMy wife's TPMS light came on yesterday, I checked the tire pressures this AM and set them all to 38psi, one wheel was down a few PSI, and went for a drive. everything seems fine.
TPMS light is still on, this is a canadian trendline w/4motion.
I do not have MFSW but I do seem to have the full MFD. The manual says to reset via the settings menu which I cannot access. no combination of button pushing on the cluster or control stalk will give me the settings menu. I do not see a button in front of the shift lever or in the glove box like other models have.
This is for 2012 Passat TDI SE
Month or so a go, my TPMS light came on. I checked the tires and they looked ok, and pressure was close to 32 psi which is recommended (pressure sticker on the door jamb). Tried resetting multiple times following the instructions provided in the user manual by pressing the TPMS reset button located in the glove compartment. Light still on. Tried clearing with VAG-COM and no success. Keeps saying check your tires and light is on.
I have read on various posts to pump the tires to 37-40psi. Tried that and no luck. Then I found someone saying on the forums that there is an issue where the TPMS gets some how recoded to 5.5 bar instead of 2.3 bar and that is why the light wont go away. How to recode TPMS to correct value
I own a 2012 Camry and i just upgraded from the 17 inch to the 18 inch sport wheels. Do the tmps sensors have to be recalibrated because i get no readings. I thought the car should pick up on its own and show me tire pressure. The wheels came from a 2013 Camry.
View 6 RepliesWith the temps at a all time low in the U.S. this week, my TPMS warning light has come on in my 2012 RX350. It will stay very cold for most of the week, so is it ok to drive with my warning light on.
I don't want to check my psi in the tires with a tire gauge because I was told a valve stem can freeze open in extreme cold letting the tire to go completely flat.
A customer brought in their 07 Camry XLE with a flashing low tire light. I retrieved two codes, one for sensor 1 and one for sensor 2. Tire pressures normal.
Codes are
DTC C2121/21 No Signal from Transmitter ID1 in Main Mode
DTC C2122/22 No Signal from Transmitter ID2 in Main Mode
The other things I noticed were that the two bad sensors were showing a temp of -40F while the two good sensors were within 5 degrees of actual ambient temp. Another fault was that the battery in #4 was low. I ordered 2 new sensors from Toyota and after writing down their code, I swapped them out. I had already written down the codes for the other 2 sensors. Going into the data, now sensor #4 is reading -40F too and the battery says OVER.
The only good one is on the left front. I cannot believe that I had two bad sensors this morning and another failed this afternoon. I've been wrenching long enough to know that these things are rare. The customer made the appointment yesterday and dropped off the car last night. She called right when the light came on and only drove it about 30 miles from then to when she dropped it off. Before I left, I ordered two more sensors. BTW, the tires look relatively new, but we did not put them on. The two sensors I removed looked fine.
I have a 2009 Camry LE and I just got oem 2010 SE wheels for it. Upon start up, the TPMS light flashes for a minute then goes steady and stays on.
I know there is a reset switch in the glovebox but would that fix it? I went from 16" steel wheels w/ hubcaps to 17" oem SE wheels.
I have had my 07 now for a few months. The other day during a trip, I noticed my TPMS light began to blink, and then stayed constantly on. I checked my pressures at the end of the day and they were all right where they should be, including the spare. When I start the car, the TPMS light will blink for some time, and then it will go steady and stay illuminated.
Took the car to a tire shop and they hooked the tpms scan tool up to the car and told me I had a bad sensor. I did some reading online today and it seems like a lot of people say the sensors that come from the factory for these cars only last for about 5 years until the internal battery dies.
For what it costs to get one sensor replaced, knowing that the car is 5 years old and the other 3 sensors are prone to fail, I see some people are making little PVC canisters and putting all 4 sensors in the canister and pressurizing it to make the light go away. But my sensors are broke, and if I bought new ones I do not have a tool to program them.
Is there anything that can be unplugged, or a wire that can be cut or grounded to make this stupid, pointless light go away or am I pretty much at the mercy of the tire shop/dealer to replace the sensor and make the light go away?
This will be my first winter using a dedicated set of winter tires and wheels on my 09 Camry. The set doesn't have TPMS sensors. Will the TPMS light constantly flash or just stay lit when the system doesn't detect the sensors? I could live with the light always lit but if it flashes it will be annoying.
View 14 RepliesNeed to disable TPMS on 2012 model? I am going to install winter tires with wheels without sensors.
View 2 Replieshave a 14 se. pressure light came on this weekend which is the first time it's came on since I've owned the car. I checked the pressure in all 4 tires and all 4 had a psi of 30, which is 5 under the recommended psi. I don't know how all 4 tires are that much under all at the same time. a little confused
View 14 RepliesToday riding to work... the little TPMS light (looks like a tire with and ! in the middle) came on - Started blinking for a minute then went solid. so I pulled off the highway and checked my tire pressure.. all tires were 31 or above.. (S/B 33)
Topped off all tires w/ air and went back on the road - light didn't go out... then on the way home, it went off... and it wasn't the cold.. It was a 'balmy' 20 this morning...
Owner's manual says it was the TPMS system malfunctioning OR interference from outside... 2012 Sonata GLS ....
I've been trying to locate the TPMS Reset Button on my 2013 PIP. I've searched and saw that it's near the bottom of the steering column but I didn't see it.
View 5 RepliesFour questions:
1) I know that Executive has keyless entry, but does it also have the remote-start feature?
2) Do 2012 Tregs show which tyre is underinflated or does TMPS just show a general warning that tyres are running low?
3) Does 2012 Treg have a power liftgate and if so, can it be opened/closed with the keyfob?
4) Do 2012 Tregs now come with the backup camera or is it still not available due to the parts supply shortage?
Bought my Camry with 25k miles on it, and had the dealer change the oil and reset the light first thing. Now I'm at 30k miles and the light has come on. I am following the 10k mile OCI.
So is this Maintenance required light going to come on every 5k miles to remind me of tire rotations and whatnot in between my 10k mile oil change intervals?
Should just turn it off now and wait until 35k miles (when it comes on again im suspecting) to get the oil changed?
I have a 2016 Camry SE.
How do I pull out the map light assembly? The whole thing not just the bulb covers.
I tried pulling from the rear but it won't budge and created a crease in my headliner.
Is there a certain way to pull it down? I don't want to damage the headliner anymore since it's not even a week old yet.
