Is there a way to deactivate the seat belt chime??

View 14 RepliesI'm in the habit of starting the car andthen putting on my seat belt while it is warming up.So I used the Carista OBD2 app to disable the seat belt chime on my 2015 Camry. This is supposed to be the same as doing it from Techstream, I believe. But the ding still sounds several times once I turn the key. The seat belt warning light also flashes in synch with the dings.I confirmed the settings:
Seat belt warning ding (driver)
ENABLED / *DISABLED*
Seat belt warning ding (front passenger)
ENABLED / *DISABLED*
Okay, it took me a while but I finally found a "chime stopper" with the correct configuration for the Gen 6. For those of you who (like me) are sick of the stealership telling you that they would turn into a frog if they disabled a safety feature, or that they want an hour of diagnostic time to do so, pick up a set of these [URL] ....
View 3 RepliesOk I have an 09 Camry and the door chime is driving us nuts when we unbuckle our seat belt. My husband says it chimes 45x!! How can we disconnect it...tried something I saw online and it was a no go for an 09. My mechanic thinks he is going to have to cut the wire or something-he thinks disconnecting fuse will disconnect other stuff.
View 3 RepliesInstructions on how to disable your seatbelt chime.
1. Buckle Seatbelt (1.1) go to ACC mode.
2. While depressing the brake, turn the key to the ON position. I Was thinking someone might experiment with in the ACC mode might work by pressing the start button w/o your foot on the brake pedal.
3. Press the trip reset button a few times, stop when the ODO is displayed (not trip distance - A or B). If the odometer starts at the mileage, cycle through anyway.
4. Turn the ignition to LOCK.
5. Unbuckle the driver's seat belt.
6. Turn the key to the ON position again. When the dash lights comes on, press and hold the trip reset button, and count to 20 (slowly).
7. While still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
8. The odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". Depress the trip reset button to toggle.
9. Unbuckle and Turn OFF the car.
Is it possible to turn off the seat belt chime? If so how?

View 2 RepliesI just bought a 2015 Camry LE. The back seat belt buckles keep disappearing beneath the seat surface when you try to put your seat belt on. It's even more annoying when you have a child trying to buckle up in a booster seat. I went back to the dealer & they showed me several other 2015-2016's and they all do the same thing. Apparently, it's a Toyota design flaw & not an annoying quirk to my car. Any solution to keep the buckle above the seat?
View 4 RepliesI bought my second Prius yesterday and have noticed that the driver's side seat belt sensor is finicky. Please note, I don't want to turn the warning chime off. I know how to do that, and it isn't the solution I'm looking for. I wear my seatbelt always, but in case I do forget to buckle myself (or my passenger forgets to buckle up), I want to receive an accurate warning.
So, here's what's happening. Even when the seat belt is buckled, the warning chime will sound until the buckle is clicked in *just* right. Sometimes it works on the first buckle, sometimes it takes five or six tries to get it right. I've tried the basics (compressed air, checking connections), but neither provided any solutions. What's my next step? Can I buy a new buckle assembly (or just pull one off a junker)?
I just bought my 06 Hyundai accent last night. Just today I noticed my seat belt will chime after I remove the belt, even if the car is in park. It's not a big deal but it was enough to make me look through the owners manual to see if it could be disabled. Well, I didn't find my answer so I thought maybe someone here has already done it. So, how to disable the seat belt chime?
View 7 RepliesI'm new to the board always been into old school air cooled vws but just bought a 20th anniversary GLI Jetta and need to know how to deactivate the seat belt ding ding. The car did not come with an owners manual so can't look it up.
View 8 RepliesHow to make this go away? When I leave the car running and go into the store, I would like to leave the engine and heater running (I live in Utah) so my family doesn't freeze. The chime, is very aggravating. Neither of my Audi's (A4/TT) do this.
View 7 Repliesit beeps when the car is not moving but you are free to unlock the seat belt when the car is in motion and the system does not mind (it does not beep).

View 10 RepliesI just got the new Avalon. Pretty nice but rear visability isn't great and front head room has been reduced to make it look sporty. My problem is with the obnoxious seat belt warning chime which seems to go on forever. How to disable it? I use my belt all the time. Don't need a reminder.
View 14 RepliesWhen I purchased my new 2008 RX 350 I was able to turn off the seat belt chime using a hack. I recently purchased a 2015 RX 350 and have tried to do the same but have been unsuccessful. How to do this to the 2015 RX 350? Please note that the 2014 hack does not work on the 2015 model year.

View 10 RepliesI have just purchased a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fa and was wondering as to why there is no warning when I get in the car telling me to put my seat belt on either audio/visual.
How you turn it off but I am asking the opposite, no matter how annoying that sound its safer to have that belt on.
Can you turn off the passenger seat belt chime like you can on the Tundra? Dealer or owner job?
View 2 RepliesMy 2006 VW GLI keeps having an intermittent seat belt warning chime even though my seat belt is fastened (and there is no one on the passenger side). It's nearly impossible to reproduce this problem as it will do it at different times of the day and sometimes not for a week. It generally chimes anywhere from 5-10 min despite the seat belt being fastened. I've tried re-buckling and I've tried shaking the buckle and neither worked.
