2013 Camry SE; I am experiencing a plastic buzzing noise coming from the left side of the steering wheel, the noise seems to be coming from the small compartment area (below the AC vent). If I press my hand against it, then the noise stops.

View 5 RepliesI have 2016 camry 4 cyl have roughly 2300 miles and I'm noticing a click click while turning the steering wheel left or right while stationary and vehicle running sounds like it's coming from under the dash.
I've seen there is a tsb for other year camry intermediate shaft issue, my vehicle is lowered on eibach Springs and would hate to take back to dealer and have them blame it on the springs in a vehicle that has only 2,500 miles.
I am experiencing a buzzing rattle coming from the left corner of the dashboard in the area near the horizontal speaker. It's not loud but it's annoying. It only happens when the car is moving. It doesnt seem to be affected by the audio system being powered on or off. The best thing I can think of to describe it the sound a Geiger counter makes, but not as loud.

View 1 Replieswe have a 2012 Honda Civic with about 70k miles. Recently it's started to make two different noises that we think are coming from the back left wheel. The light metallic grinding sound is usually triggered when we drive uphill and to the right. The louder sound is triggered on a hard right.
We took it to the mechanic and he said he can't find anything wrong with the car, except that our tires were nearly bald and cupping. We replaced all four tires because we were planning on doing that anyway. After the tires were replaced, the sounds went away for one day and now they are back. What could be causing this sound? It is not triggered by braking. The mechanic said the brakes are fine now but will probably need to be replaced in the next year.

When I shut the car off and just sit in the car, I hear a very odd tapping noise coming from the dash to the left of the steering wheel. It taps 3-4 times, stops for 20 seconds, and taps again 3-4 times. This process repeats a few times and then stops completely. What on earth could it be? I'm thinking its a bad relay or perhaps the car is possessed. I'm not sure I could reproduce for the dealer.
View 15 RepliesLately my 2007 Camry (2.4 L, Auto) has developed a bit strange problem. When I'm driving on highway, even slight left turn results in a grinding noise and sort of resistant steering wheel. It happens only when I turn left. As soon as steering wheel gets back to straight, the noise and steering wheel resistance/hardness goes away. I don't really feel much when I'm driving slow on the city streets. Although some time when I am little bit fast, I feel slight grinding noise and steering hardness. No problem in turning right at all.

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry, 4 cylinder, SE Model, 150,000 miles
It sounds like metal on metal. It only happens at low speeds (less than 20mph). Only happens when I turn the steering wheel right. While I am driving straight, the noise is not there.
Here is what I have changed on my car in the last 3 months:
-New Brake rotors
-New Brake Pads
-New sway bar link
-New sway bar bushing
-New outer tie rod end
-New lower ball joint
More Observations:
-CV joint is not leaking
-Checked the struts for proper movement
-The strut seems properly seated in the bearing plated, nothing broken (under the hood)
-I confirmed that the disc brake shield is not in contact with anything
Am I missing anything? What else could be causing this?
I just recently replaced the inner and outer tie rods an got a 4 wheel alignment on my 2005 camry le and now whenever you turn the steering wheel all the way lleft or right, it makes a loud groaning noise, and it sounds like something is scraping kinda? What this could be an how to solve this problem? It is not low on power steering fluid...!

View 2 RepliesTonight I went out to get something out of my car, I had not driven the car in about 5 hrs. As I opened the back driver side door, I noticed a noise coming from the wheel well area. It was a quiet noise almost like a very quiet motor running, but it was very prevalent. I went to the passenger side back wheel and could hear it there also. I've never heard anything like this. Opened the trunk and listened for the noise but could not hear it there. After a few mins, I started the car and let it run, then shut it off and the noise disappeared. Only thing I could think of was a fuel pump malfunction?? I honestly don't know.
View 11 RepliesI have a stick shift Camry 2004 with 160K miles on it and I hear a popping noise (not clicking cv joint noise) coming from the front left side . I hear the noise when I drive off from a stop regardless of whether I am turning or not but mostly when I release the clutch after changing gears on second and sometimes third gear. I was told by a mechanic and a ntb tires and a former toyota mechanic it had to be the struts.
I figured what the heck ordered new mounts and struts had and I installed them and had the car aligned. That did not solve the problem. My next guess was the engine mount by the transmission so i changed that and still no success. The former toyota mechanic told me he now thinks it's the transmission but I am skeptical. How to diagnose this? BTW 95 % sure the problem started when my wife hit the sidewalk really hard (so hard I had to change the rim).
Experienced a buzzing noise from left rear wheel well. I have noticed it a couple of times after the car has been parked in the garage and sitting for awhile. The dealer said it is normal and the auto suspension readjusting. However, it will continue for a long time but will turn off if I start it up. I am concerned this normal leveling will burn out the motor in do time. We have a 2010 premium.

Seems that's the most common place ppl are having this type of issue with. What it could be? My mechanic wont be able to look at it till Friday. So not sure on what to do. The sound only happens when I'm hitting bumps on the road.

View 9 RepliesI just bought a 2012 Camry SE V6 about 2 weeks ago. This week, I have noticed a steady clicking or ticking sound coming from the passengers side front wheel (or so it sounds to be from there). Not feeling any vibrations or anything like that and I have checked the tire(s) for rocks or nails to no avail. The sound is not present at speeds lower than 50mph (that I can hear anyways) and seems to get slightly louder in volume as speed increases from 50mph (though there is no increase seemingly in frequency of the sound) and if the passengers side window is up it cannot be heard at all. What was the ultimate solution? I want to be able to drive my Camry with pride but it's hard when all I can hear is the ticking noise with my windows down.
View 3 RepliesI have been getting increased noise coming from the back of my car for the past month. So I jacked up the car and spun the tires and heard grinding noises in the rear right. I have a 2012 ToyotaPrius plug-in with 33,000 miles. When driving the car around 40 miles an hour there would be a howling sound coming from the back of the car regardless of the type of pavement I was driving on.
So I took it to the dealer today and they had it up on the rack in about an hour later they came to me and said it needed new tires and it would be about $700 and that this was likely causing the noise. I said that there was no way that it was the tires so I went and showed the mechanic how old the sound was coming out of the back right wheel. He listened with his stethoscope on the wheel bearings and said that he did hear some noise in there but still thought it was the tires.
