I just noticed on my wife's camry the rear door pillar post plastic is sort of lifting/buckling in the middle. The front doors pillar plastic is fine just on both rear doors it started to lift in the middle. When you push it back down it stays for a second or two then lifts up again. the car is 2012 and only has 10k miles Not happy.
View 14 RepliesMy 2012 Ford F350 Super Duty Crew Cab has a squeak in the pillar between the driver and rear door. Or at least that is where it seems to be coming from. It gets better and worse but it's driving me nuts. Any potential fixes?
View 14 RepliesLong story short, the tint shop burned my exterior door pillar when I got it tinted like 8 months ago. Just now felt like dealing with it, so I got the new part in. How to replace it? The back has a lot of what looks like double sided tape and only 1 clip. In order to get the other one off it looks like I have to take off the chrome strip at the bottom since the black molding goes underneath the chrome...

I was so mad when I saw this scratch. I did not expect any damage to be done on the rear car door. My car was parked on the street so I assume somebody opened their door and hit mine.
Also, how can I fix this? I'm buying the paint from the dealership.

I'll be sitting at a stop light and I'll start hearing this ticking sound which seems to come from the rear of the driver door, or perhaps the B pillar. Opening and shutting the door will make it go away for a short time, but it returns by the time I get to the next light.
It's very steady, about one tick per second. At highway speeds it's either non-existent or too faint to hear. I have a 2-door.
I have a 2012 SD Reg cab 350XLT, I am installing the premium sound tweeters on the door pillar. Looking for the diagram for the big plug that connects all the door stuff to the truck body? I need to find the tweeter wires, or figure out another way to jump the gap from the door to the body.
View 1 RepliesI've got a 2003 camry LE/V6. The interior trim fabric to the right and left of the rear window is curling back on the trim panel away from the glass. This has been happening slowly over a year or so and now has reached a point of requiring repair. I've searched the site, but haven't found anything directly related. These panels appear to be separate from the headliner and the rear window shelf. How these panels come out? If these snap into clips and can be removed, I might be able to match fabric closely enough to be OK.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2012 Camry LE and notice that when i open the rear driver side door, there is a clunking noise when it opens into one position. I tried greasing the hinge and it didn't make much of a difference.

I'm not a mechanic, but upon first inspection and a little tugging it appears that piece can be removed and possibly replaced with a new one? Don't really want to take her door panel off unless I have to (and don't want to waste the time if that piece can't be removed anyway).
Any effective way to remove scratches from BLACK plastic? (Specifically, my inner door panel which is a matte textured black plastic).

View 5 RepliesI first noticed that the sunroof was making scratching noises when I opened and closed it then finally noticed the plastic on one side had just fallen out. I put it back, but it just eventually falls out again.
5 pictures included. Two show the plastic completely out. The other 3 show how it usually is with most of the plastic in the center attached, but the edges hanging out a bit.

What caused this. The attached pictures show what looks like melted plastic on the window frame to the right side rear passenger door. I noticed the damage after running errands one morning. What might have caused this? Any thing electrical inside the car or external?
View 18 RepliesHard to describe since I'm away from the Tiguan and can't take a picture.. but I noticed that the left side wasn't tucked under, but the right side was. I'm referring to where the two glass roofs meet in the middle. The rubber seals are completely visible from the front but then are tucked under the plastic part at the middle of the sunroof.

I'm worried that fixing this will require replacing some type of cabling system that connects the release button in the driver's door to the gas door and THAT sounds really expensive. I've got 52K on the car with an extended warranty. Think this might be covered?
View 1 RepliesI had my 2010 Camry up on a hoist yesterday and noticed that there is sort of a small deflector type plastic piece with about a 1 inch lip on the underbody just before the rear wheels. It is held on by two bolts. You can just barely see it and might have to bend down to get a good look at it. It is on both sides. I'm not talking about the rear mud/splash guards but the small piece before the rear tires.
What this is called and what it's purpose is?
License plate light comes on when any door opens? it fades out a little after it's shut. stays on for a minute or so. (like interior lights would if i had the door dome switch on).
Any way to turn this license plate light off for this function? stays on if the hatch is open, or any door. I car camp a lot and crack the hatch for air. license plate light stays on.
Also the lower door lights, when they are individually open. I'd like them to not come on. Yes I could just remove those bulbs.
I had installed led lights on the whole car/ every bulb inside and out. even fog lights. i didn't replace the hid headlights, though I'd like to.
My dad has a 2012 6.7 powerstroke with about 84,000 kms on it. Truck runs great, works great, but has a noise that sounds like its coming from a pump of some sort on the engine. I know nothing about these trucks and told him I would see what I could find out before we take it to the dealer to see if its a warranty issue. Video below.....
View 4 RepliesI have a 2007 Prius with 130,000 miles on it. I plan to trade in about a year, maybe a little less. I have noticed my brakes grabbing. My mechanic says that the front brakes are sort of grinding and the rear brakes are grabbing. Both are worn, the rear brakes to about 30%, front brakes to 60%. They also say they will probably last out the year. Should I put new brakes on to be safe and to be able to sell the car with new brakes, or should I just wait it out and trade it in with worn brakes?
View 6 RepliesMy passenger side front and rear windows dont work. Both driver side windows work, just not the right side/passenger side.
Also when I press the master door lock/unlock switch on the driver seat, every door except the rear passenger door works. It stays unchanged so I guess it is not receiving a signal or something is not letting the signal reach the lock.
