I've read that the driver gets a warning if the lane marker is crossed without the turn signal operating. If you pull out to pass a car and don't use the turn signal does it give a warning the entire time you're in the "wrong lane" ? Does the warning stop when you're back in the lane you left?
View 4 RepliesI have a new 2016 Toyota Camry XLE V6 with all available options. I have been disappointed with the Lane Departure feature. In this colder weather in the morning when you start the car it seems like the windshield inside the enclosure above the rear view mirror clouds up because of the difference in temperature inside and out and the Lane Departure is unavailable. Is this normal anyway?? Is the enclosure above the rear view mirror sealed air tight or not? I drove 3 hours yesterday before the sun apparently dissipated the fog in the enclosure and the Lane Departure came on.

View 14 RepliesOn my Gen II Prius, I want to swap the Front Side Marker with the Turn Signal. Thus, the Front Side Marker becomes my blinker and the Turn Signal bulb as my Front Marker light. Since I do not have the money or patience to clear out the front orange reflectors, i decided to swap the light functionality. I plan to get some SMD 992 bulbs to replace the current halogen and make them my side markers.
View 5 RepliesI recently purchased a 2001.5 Passat V6. The front left turning signal is not operating, I swapped the right with the left (with housing) and still the left portion is not working. Obviously the problem is not the bulb or bulb housing. Can it be fuse?

My question, is there any way of slowing down the speed of the turn signal WITHOUT replacing the LED back to stock bulbs?
Thinking about getting a used Camry. Is there any issues with any of the years in the seventh generation Camry? What are some of your likes and dislikes of your car? For example I have been told that on the sixth generation Camry you have to remove the bumper to change the turn signal bulb. I have never had to deal with this, just what I have been told.
View 14 RepliesMy issue is i recently have put two different sets of front LED turn signals in my car and only after a day or so they blow out. When i pull out the bulbs they smell burnt. i do have LED turn signals in the rear as well they are plug and play with decoders no resistor required. For the front ones i did add 50W 6Ohm resistors on each side.

View 13 RepliesI am wondering if the frequency of the signal to change lanes can be increased from three (3) blips to four (4) or five (5) blips. Mine does only 3 and sometimes I do not find that sufficient - maybe I like to be extra cautious.
I have a Ross-Tech VAG-COM so looking for any way of changing it using that tool. I just do not feel very inclined to go around changing parameters without knowing what the outcome may be. I find the Ross-Tech manual to be rather cryptic.
Recently completed a six-hour drive and noticed right headlight--high and low beams--and right amber marker/signal light were off at night. Left or driver's side lights worked perfectly. Tried switching on and off and re-starting car with no different results. Parked car at home with intention of trying repair, next day. Next day, they were working fine! Fortunately, we were close to home when this happened and it has not happened, since. What happened to make these lights go out on one side and, one day later, come back? Would like to prevent from happening again.
View 1 RepliesA couple of days ago, my "Check Lights" warning came on as I used the right turn signal. After inspecting all of the lights on the outside of the car, I could see that the red led rear turn signal group was out (although it has sporadically come on a couple of times since then).
Just to be sure, I checked all of the related fuses in the front and rear fuse blocks, but they were all fine. It seems to me that this may either be a lose fitting or (since the tail lights are installed as one unit) I may have to have the right rear entire tail light group replaced.
Before I drop the car off at the dealer, looking for instructions as to how I could investigate further (open up the tail light and look for a lose wire) ?
2002 Dodge pick up constantly gives me this warning when the park lights are on and then use a turn signal. All lamps do work and the front control module has been changed.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2004 V8, still running strong at over 101,550 miles. Aside from two strange warnings, it's a total blast to drive. It's especially fun to shock people with the interior, since most people just think it looks like a big Passat. They probably thing it's a bit large for a VW, roll their eyes, and then move on their lives, mistaking one of the most underrated cars in history for Germany's answer to the Toyota Avalon. However, all that is not really relevant right now.
What's relevant is that it randomly complains that there is some malfunction in the left rear signal. Specifically, it's the left rear one. Funnily enough, when it happens, the left rear signal starts working again after restarting the car, removing the key before doing so in order to restart the onboard computer systems. What's going on?
A second, significantly-less annoying problem is that it randomly complains that one of the tires is flat (probably the spare), even though the spare tire is properly-inflated. Once it happens, the car has to be rebooted in order to get rid of the warning, which always happens within five minutes of starting the car.
Needless to say, other that the above, it's a blast to drive.
3 weeks ago my father (who died 2 weeks ago) gave me his 1991 Infiniti G20 which he has kept in great condition over the years with the last few being the exception. He's the original owner and I have paperwork from every repair and service it's had. Unfortunately the issue it has now started happening after he passed so I'm not going to get info about how it's been running the last couple years. Now to the good stuff.
When I got the car it was outside under a carport like always (lives near Seattle). I drove the car about 200 miles and then a couple days later I noticed the turn signal stopped working, but not only that there were several things not working. The turn signals (yet hazard lights work), the seat belt motor will not let it roll back across my chest, the blower won't work but the AC and heat still works, the rear defogger stopped, the ABS stopped, and the warning lights and sounds for doors open and seat belts were undone don't work.
Then while driving everything just "clicked" back on for about 5 minutes, then "clicked back off the rest of the drive. The next day I started the car, everything was fine but after waiting a couple minutes for the windows to get defogged everything shut off again. Driving around with foggy windows, no turn signals, and no seat belt across my chest is starting to scare me. Oh, and the problem can turn on and off without the engine on. If I just put the key into the "on" position it will sometime switch between working and not working.
I have unplugged and replugged the fuses and relays on the left side under the steering wheel, I've checked the voltage of the battery (2 years old with 7 year warranty and alternator was replaced 18 months ago) and it was about 12.4. I've tried reading the wiring diagram in the service manual without any luck figuring it out. When I took it to the Nissan dealership they did their scans and couldn't recreate the issue and charged me $100 just for doing the electrical tests.
I want this car to keep going since it has 174,000 miles and runs great (manual trans) so need to figure out whats going on. It doesn't seem like it's a loose wire because the car doesn't have to move for it to go back and forth between working and failing. It sometimes works more often if the car is kept in a garage but even then I'm not sure. At one point in the last year a couple mice got into the trunk but they have since left and I don't see anything in the manual that says they could have effected anything all the way back there.
My HD radio signal keeps going in and out. I had my windows tinted right when i bought the car so not sure if this was issue before or not??? i did ask the tint company, Zeibart, if the tint would affect the antenna and they said not at all cuz it was not mettalic tint. I have never had an issue on any other cars with tint. could this be caused from a different issue?

View 5 RepliesMy front left turn signal was hyper flashing. I replaced all four bulbs to no avail. Just to satisfy my curiosity I switched the bulb holder from left to right sides. The hyper flash followed to the right side. Turns out that the bulb holder shorted out. I had it replaced under warranty yesterday.
View 2 RepliesJust purchased my 1st SUV - 2012 Nissan Murano. Rides good, handles great. Seats a little firm. Problem: when the radio is on (not really very loud), can't hear the click of the turn signal -- it's set at a very low volume. As it doesn't stop clicking after changing lanes, how can I increase the sound of the click so I'm not one of those goofballs driving down the freeway making a perpetual left turn?

I also have an ALLDATA DIY subscription on this vehicle, but I could not find any instance of this occurring to be able to troubleshoot. I though that there might have been a light out somewhere.
