I have a 2016 Camry SE.
How do I pull out the map light assembly? The whole thing not just the bulb covers.
I tried pulling from the rear but it won't budge and created a crease in my headliner.
Is there a certain way to pull it down? I don't want to damage the headliner anymore since it's not even a week old yet.
How to remove the front map light assembly. I was trying to replace my map light with LED and one of the holder came off from the assembly. Is there anyway to secure it without removing assemble?

View 1 RepliesTried to remove my rear interior light assembly up on the headliner but just couldn't figure it out. I can pry the clear lens off pretty easy but I want to remove the whole assembly from the headliner so I can put some sound deadner behind it because ever since I upgraded my sound system it rattles like crazy and is driving me nuts. I know guys have dropped the whole headliner to dynamat or sound proof it so someone's gotta know.
View 2 RepliesOn my 2012 Camry XLE with 22,500 miles, just had the drivers side drive shaft assembly replaced, under warranty. Was getting a clicking sound when turning. Not too happy, car comes off warranty in September. They also updated computer on a recall for the torque shutter.
Then he tells me I need an oil change (was just done, oil shiny clean). He said oil looked dirty. Also said I needed a fuel injection cleaning (at 22.5k?), and new tires. OEM tires are garbage. Wheres the Toyota quality and integrity?
I can see where there is a 1/4 inch post that if turned will push the assembly out, but i can only get it to come out about 1 inch. Is there something else that has to be released ?

I have the front rad pulled out and there is plenty of room to work. How do I get off the viscous fan assembly. I removed the fan's 3-4 allen bolts, I now need to get the assembly out. I also removed one of the long allen bolts in the actual assembly. I have the fan ribbed pulley secured with an old serp belt and grip wrench. I am trying to losen the large nut behind he fan assembly. I have attached a photo to point of reference. I may have a manual next week yhat may explain all this.

The list is many Prime Choice, Detriot Axle, Unity, FCS, AST, Sensen, ect.... Maybe they all are made at the same factory. FYI Monroe and Gabriel could be made in China.
