What is the Lexus / Toyota part number for the RX 450h engine air filter?
View 2 RepliesWith an AD2 and no HFCM, need to have a part number for just the top of engine filter? All I can find (Motorcraft, AMSOIL, Racor) are the dual filter kits.
View 4 RepliesI took apart my front bumper for my 2012 Camry SE a while back and swapped it when I hit a cone on the freeway.
I accidentally lost one of those metal nuts that goes underneath the bumper - its like a hexagon if I remember correctly. - I had to use a torque wrench to open them and there was like 8 or 10 total.
I am swapping to a 6.0 trans cooler in my 7.3 and want to add the external filter as well. I looked through the tech folder and the link about the external filter doesn't seem to be working. I am just looking for part numbers of what everyone is using. Is the Magnafine as good as a spin on style filter?
View 11 RepliesMy cabin filter is getting pretty dirty. I have been looking around at the different types of filters and was wondering. Is there any advantage in replacing the normal paper pleated filter with one that is lined with charcoal? What do you think of filter that is coated with charcoal and baking soda?
View 14 RepliesI have a 2013 Camry XLE V6, and it now has almost 17,400 miles on it. About a month ago, I replaced the Cabin Air Filter (was definitely dirty) and the Engine Air Filter (was somewhat dirty). I made triply sure that I installed the Cabin Air Filter the correct way (the Air Filter is easier, as there is only one way to put it on).
In any event, after the car sits a while, and I start it up, whether I let air circulate from the outside or not, when I press the fan button for the A/C, initially a "musky" smell is present, but it does go away fairly quickly. (I have not tried this in "heat" (non A/C) mode yet). Why this happens? Seems somewhat strange (by the way, I used the correct STP filters that I previously purchased at AutoZone).
2007 F250, V10. What is the part number for the transmission filter?
View 3 RepliesI need to change the engine and cabin filter on our Camry what brand do you recommend also does it really matter if you purchase the expensive filters vs 5.00 to 10.00 ones? I ask because looks like Toyota OEM filters are normal paper filters.
View 4 RepliesAny resource that I can use to find the part number of the O2 sensor on my wife's 03 v6 Camry.
I have a check engine light, scanned by code scanner to reveal P2195. This OBD code is supposedly sensor 1, bank 1 "stuck lean" which is the upper O2 sensor on the left side of the engine (closest to radiator with transverse mounting).
So it should be easy to change if this is the issue but I'm having a hell of a time finding the right part number. Too many choices.
I have a 2006 Camry 4 cylinder. The bigger rubber hose coming out from the power steering fluid reservoir has been leaking for quite some time now. I've tried putting a second clamp on it which has worked but hasn't stopped the leak completely. As far as I understand, the big hose has a certain bend to it so I can't just get any rubber hose from an auto parts store and chug it in.
It is leaking all over the nearby surface:
I need to identify the part number for that power steering rubber hose so that I can replace it once and for all. Once the power steering fluid leaks out, my steering starts groaning whenever I turn it.
Just purchased a 2012 Prius a few weeks ago. if cabin air filter preinstalled in the new cars?
View 19 RepliesFriend bought a 2012 Explorer Limited and there is no cabin air filter. Is this right or might it taken out by previous owner?
View 1 RepliesEvery day for the last four years the timer on the air filter drives me crazy. It insists on switching from filter to outside air after three minutes, which sucks back in all the Diesel fumes and dust I just finished filtering. I would very much like to disable the timer. I'm not afraid of cutting wires.
View 14 RepliesDo my 2012 F250 6.7 liter Powerstroke diesel has a cabin air filter? I have looked everywhere I could think of and am unable to find one. Does this mean it doesn't have one?

To replace the cabin air filter, there is a tray that you pull out. The tray has an arrow pointing up. I've read someone's comment on the forum that the up arrow on the filter should be oriented the same way as the up arrow on the tray. I'm wondering if the up arrow on the tray is only meant specifically for the orientation of the tray, to make sure you slide it incorrectly and not for the filter, per se.
Usually, for air filters (home, car, industrial, whatever) the arrow almost always indicates the direction of air flow. I have seen on some car air filters that the direction of the arrow just simply meant to put the filter in with the arrow pointing up, while other manufacturers mean the arrow to be pointing in the direction of air flow.
I just got this 2002 for my mom, and I'm doing the maintenance on it before I bring it to her. The very new aftermarket cabin air filter in there has the arrow pointing up, in line with the arrow on the tray. I'm much more familiar with the Gen 9 Corolla, and on that car the direction of air flow is going down. For some brands, you must put the filter with the arrow pointing down and others up, depending on what they meant (air flow direction, or orientation of filter). I assume the air flow is going down for this car. So, for this generic filter that is in there, should I switch the orientation? It doesn't have a name brand on it, but it's practically brand new, so I don't want to spend the money on a Denso or other OEM/OES filter.
Not sure if there is a post for this, but I could not find one.
I recently replaced my cabin air filter in my '12 PiP. When I went to put the little door back on, the clip that holds the door into place on the left (not the "click" side), broke right off of the housing.
I have the piece, but not sure I can glue this back on with any success.
Do I have to take the whole dash apart to get the housing out to replace? It really is the smallest little plastic piece.
I used to replace my LS430 cabin air filter myself. Now I have a 2012 LS460, and they have made the hatch door in the glove box motorized. I know to open the hatch, it has something to do with depressing the Fan button on the dash. But I don't know exactly what to press, if car should be running, or ignition simply On but not running, etc. What is the exact procedure that opens the little hatch in the glove box so I can replace the filter ? (And my primary reason for wanting to bring it to dealer is simply that it took me 5 minutes to do it on my LS430, vs MUCH longer to go to my dealer.)
View 10 RepliesI installed a new cabin air filter and I am getting some fan vibration noise. Gets really noticeable around speed 3 or 4. What could be causing it? It is the TY brand filter.

I just bought a 2012 Camry SE. Came with one master key. Bought a replacement online and I am about to have it cut/programmed. I called an auto locksmith and the guy indicates he can program the key to start the car but not the remote part of the key. How do I program this part?
