Just installed my new fogs in my 2012 LE and the install went GREAT! The switch has an LED in it to illuminate it AND one that comes on when you turn fogs on. What circuit I could tap into to dim that led? In lieu of that can you just put a resistor in the circuit to permanently dim it? I have the factory Wire diagram, so I will look for a light that is dimmed with the dash lights.

Noticed that with the stock ones but they get dimmer when you're headlights are on. I want to keep a constant brightness.
I am switching my dome lights map lights etc to LED, and is having trouble removing the original bulb, any special ways to remove it, it seems stuck in there....

My interior lights do not turn on automatically when I first enter the car. I know it's easy enough to do this manually, but it's something 95% of cars do by default. Additionally, I'm one of those who likes to tinker with settings over a few days/weeks time, so I don't want to have to setup a trip and service every time I decide I liked a previous setup better than the current one.
My salesman went into these settings (on my car), so I know these settings exist and it should be easy enough to find the Contra special code to access them! My "Vehicle" settings are grayed out regardless of whether the car is turned or in accessory.
Today morning, when I started the car and backed out of the garage, the rear view camera display was not lit-up. Normally as I get out of the garage, it senses the change in outside lighting & changes the brightness of the display automatically.
After backing up, I put the car on Drive and then on Park, but the display was totally blank. No audio nor response by touching any buttons. Then I turned off the car & restarted it.
Then the display came up, but with this weird looking screen, which I have never seen before in the 5 months that I have owned this car..
It lasted for about 30-40 secs, with the progress bar moving all the way across. Then everything was back to normal!.
The Issue: Dash display reads "Passenger Door Ajar", interior lights stay on, drains battery
Current Fixes I've completed
Sprayed electrical cleaner in all 4 door latch assemblies (didn't work)
Relubricated all 4 door latch assemblies with food grade lithium grease (didn't work)
Replaced passenger door full latch assembly (didn't work)
What is my next step? I have noticed that if I wedge the door lock button on the driver's side door into the lock position, the door ajar message turns off and stays off? I was thinking wiring or relay issues?
Last week I noticed my interior mirror was not dimming. It was turned on, the light on mirror was illuminated. So were the headlights behind me.
View 9 RepliesI had a 2012 Camry but has not found the TPM display on it. It has fuel info and trip history when push the CAR button. I thought it should be there. How do I locate or set it up? Or it is not standard on LE?
View 4 RepliesAccent 2012. I replaced the trunk and map lights with LEDs and they worked okay. I did the dome light last and something caused the interior lights to not come on. The light switch is set to door for the dome and middle position for the map lights. I am pretty sure I have the LED dome light polarity correct because it did come on for a bit while I was seating it.
Now the map and dome lights don't come on. I checked the 'ROOM LP 1' fuse and it looked good but I replaced it with one of the spare 10A fuses anyway. Still not working. The trunk LED does still light.
I searched this site and found in the 2007-2012 santa fe forum under 'front dome light not working when doors open' which mentions a blown diode in the dome light housing causing a similar issue.
How is your 2012 Camry holding up as far as interior rattles and squeaks go?

I do drive a lot long distance and city driving as well and sweating on a hot day is practically inevitable even if its just a bit. But how to clean the leather/steering wheel of the interior.

It's not referenced in the manuals, but I've noticed that whenever I'm in the car, it's on the entire time unless I switch my lights to DRL Off mode. When I get out and lock the doors, I think it goes off... but I'm also thinking it may have been the cause of my recent 12V battery drain.

View 8 RepliesThe MPG display on my new 2014 Camry XLE displays 1.5mpg higher than actual MPG. This is based on the first 9 tanks (Toyota Dealer reset the trip mileage during tire rotation). Mostly highway type of driving (backroads of the desert).
Note that the next three tanks-fulls the MPG display accuracy is better. Maybe the display is more accurate once the car get broken-in.

I was in my friends' new Corolla and Tacoma (both with the Entune Plus) and noticed right away that their backup camera image was much clearer than my 2014.5 SE with the base Entune Audio.
So I went to the Toyota Camry site and look at the current specs,
LE,SE standard
(6.1-in. touch-screen display)
XSE,XLE standard
(7-in. high resolution touch-screen display)
So I am wondering, has the XLE always had the high resolution display since 2012?
I am guessing the only cheap upgrade option is buying used display units to swap out. Does the rear camera need upgrading also?
I just purchased a 2012 Camry, unfortunately the radio is the stock display audio unit, without navigation, satellite radio capability or Entune. Is it possible to upgrade these components and have them installed or would I need to replace the entire unit?

View 5 RepliesI have a 2012 F250 and am having a problem where the interior lights wont come on with the dash switch or when the doors are opened. I have confirmed that it is not a bad fuse, also the lights will come on when the switch on the individual lights is manually pushed, but not automatically like they are supposed to. I dont see it being a door switch issue because the door chime comes on and the stereo goes off when the doors are opened after turning the ignition switch off. I've read that the dealerships will switch out the BCM. I thought maybe the dimmer switch next to the headlight switch but there is no power to it whatsoever, which also I can't dim the instrument panel lights. What did you do to resolve?
View 1 RepliesI decided to put white LED lights in my map light(the front 2 light) and after I put on the bulb I turn the light on and all my interior light including my dome light went off. My car clicker the trunk, alarm, door lock, and unlock doesn't work either so how do I fix. I don't know if I blew a fuse and I can't check as I don't have my car manual.

2015 Camry XLE
I became the owner of a used (43k) magnetic grey 2014 Camry SE I4. The radio display does not seem to know where I am touching the screen. It is indicating about 1" above my actual touch and there are functions I am unable to select because of this.
