Camry 2012+ :: Constant Creaks And Cracking Noises During Cold Weather

My Camry Hybrid XLE has been at the dealership for a total of 26 days and 3 unsuccessful repair attempts relating to my dash that constantly creaks and makes cracking noises during cold weather. The shop foreman at the dealership also has not had a single camry (besides mine) come back for a noisy dash. The lemon law in my state kicks in at 30 days in the shop and/or four unsuccessful repairs and the dealer is well aware of this. I currently have the car and am waiting for a 'field technical specialist' to show up to take a look. I was told he/she comes comes 'once a month' but offered no more details than that. I noticed on this forum that some dealerships can call the specialist whenever and have them show up. Apparently mine only comes once a month... My luck will be that it will be too warm the day the specialist shows up and they will not be able to reproduce the issue!

Today, I experienced the coldest temperatures yet on my drive to work. At one point, I saw a '24F' shown as the outside temperature (although not unusual for April in Minnesota):
Expected: My gas mileage was down a bit. I was impressed it wasn't as bad as I would have expected from our 2005 Prius, though.
I should have expected: On the last 1/2 mile or so, when driving slow on the little bit of EV left while in the forced HV mode, I accidentally accelerated too much and forced on the ICE again (it had been previously on earlier in my 22 mile commute). This time, however, it was different because it didn't shut off immediately. I think the ICE had to do a second warm up. I'll have to watch that more closely next time (darn that cold weather)!

2014 se , 7k miles. Get a pretty noticeable sound. its hard to explain its kinda like a grumble for about two seconds. on very cold weather starts.

I purchased a 2012 Camry SE V6 end of December 2011. I really like the car's performance but have an annoying issue.
Above the driver's position, I hear short popping or cracking sounds when the car is moving and going over bumps or when the road twists. This sounds like a body structural issue and comes from the roof area to the left of the sunroof. This happens less often when it is sunny and more often when it is not sunny so the cooler metal may be the issue. The noise sometimes stops altogether when it is sunny or after the car has been driven for an hour. Once it sits for a couple of hours on an overcast day, the annoying pop/crack will start up again.
The door panel was replaced but the problem continued.

my 2012 nissan sentra when I first start to drive it in the morning when the temperature is below-5C does not "shift" properly. At 40 km/hr it runs at 2400 rpm. I drove it this morning to work and the whole 2 km distance it ran at 2400 rmp. The dealer says that this is normal until the car warms up, which is strange as the car only started doing this in January of this year. Coming home at -6C , I drove it for 3 blocks, it ran at 2400 rpm at 40 km/hr. Stopped the car, shut it off, restarted it and then drove home with the transmission shifting properly and rpm down to about 1500 rpm at 40-50 km/hr. We normally were getting about 400 km per 40 liters of gas, now it is down to 200-300 per 40 liters of gas(for in town driving).

She's got a 2013 RB GLS.
In very cold weather, we're talking around -15c (5f) or colder the car has serious trouble going into first gear or any gear.
The car starts fine, we even have let it warm up so the engine temp is fully warmed up.
As soon as we put the car into first and release the clutch, the car immediately stalls. It's also difficult to get into first gear, as it's locked out and takes repeated attempts to get into first, just to have it stall when the clutch is released.

Problem I'm having with my sunroof on my '10 GTI. The sunroof opens an inch and makes cracking/grinding noises. Then it needs a push on the actual glass while turning the nob in order to force it to close. And the tilt function ends up with one corner of the glass further down then the other. How to fix this problem or how to remove the headliner, or if it is worth bringing to the dealer? The dealer is the last thing i want to do because my warranty is up and those jerks charge an arm and a leg on labor alone.

After the car has been sitting all night in the cold 20 degree weather, it is notchy when I upshift into third from second. I already swapped out the manual trans fluid with Amsoil 75w90 GL-4 manual trans fluid. It didn't really change anything, but I will say that whatever fluid was in there before was quite dark. It may have even been the original fluid from the factory (80,000 miles), I am not sure. The shifter is also a little stiff feeling when its very cold.
Once car has been driven for a little while (20+ minutes), and is warmed up real good it isn't notchy or stiff. Is this just something I have to get used to?

With the temps at a all time low in the U.S. this week, my TPMS warning light has come on in my 2012 RX350. It will stay very cold for most of the week, so is it ok to drive with my warning light on.
I don't want to check my psi in the tires with a tire gauge because I was told a valve stem can freeze open in extreme cold letting the tire to go completely flat.

In Jan my 94 Toyota Camry started having issues with starting- for instance, I would run an errand for 10 minutes get back in the car and it wouldn't start. However, this tended to be random. When this problem happened more often I took it in and they said I needed a new starter so I got one (Feb) and didn't have any issues for a month, but then began to have the same issue on and off again. I took my car back in for the second time and they said it must have been a bad starter. They gave me ANOTHER new starter (Apr) and my issues continued soon after. I took it back in and they didn't have an answer for me other than the starter was good. Took it to another mechanic and he had the car for two days and could not find ANY ISSUE with the car. I let it brush over during the summer months because I never had this issue (June-Aug) and now that it's gotten cold again I'm having this problem.
Few things to note: -Anytime I have this issue I'll hit the starter with a hammer and it will ALWAYS start. This has been the case since January.-It ALWAYS starts in the morning and when I get back in my car after working all day. However, if I were to run errands in the morning or at night it would not start with the stop and go. -This only happens in the cold months -They tested the newest starter and they say there's nothing wrong with it.-Within the past two years I've had MANY things replaced on this car and any shops I've taken it to say it's a great car with no issues they can find.

My 2003 Camry LE is normally parked in our garage in Southern California so we have no problems. We have gone a few times to Utah, Arizona and other areas in So. Calif when it was very cold and had our alarm go off in the middle of the night. We turn it off and then it keep going off until we start driving it. Dealer doesn't want to disconnect alarm.

I have a 2004 2.4 liter camry .
When I first started the car it hesitated a bit but,it was very cold. I went to give it a shot of gas but had no pedal response . I shut the car off gave the gas pedal a few whacks and it worked fine .
On the way home the car worked fine for about 30 km , just before I got home the pedal had no response again, shut the car off , started it and drove home .
The next day it was worse , so I put it on a scanner ,the scans said bad throttle position sensor (tps) and also a few codes for throttle body valve sticking or bad signal .
I tried the easy fix first and changed the gas pedal with sensor , same thing , then I changed the throttle body itself , same thing, then went a installed a computer (ecu) and that won't even start the car .
My ecu 89661-06a0, replaced it with 89661-06a2.
The car will start on all 4 cyl and idle high for a few sec then drop like normal , once the idle hits 8k rpm the car is only fires on 2 cylinders 2 and 3 , (changed then swapped coils no difference) as its idling on 2 cylinders and I press the gas pedal it will rev to about 2k rpm and run on all 4.

I have a 2012 Camry LE 4 cylinder non-hybrid at 31,000 miles. I was changing the oil yesterday and noticed a repetitive squeaking noise from the front passenger side of the engine. Upon looking closer, the belt tensioner has a constant wobble. Maybe around 1 cm of deflection with the belt. The AC condenser was running. Is this normal? Do I need to replace the tensioner? If so, what the torque spec is for the main tensioner bolt (pivot bolt)?

My 2012 v is beginning to get the creaks. I notice when driving slowly up driveways or over speed bumps at an angle, I can hear creaking sounds coming from the suspension. Can key suspension lube points recommended and what grease to use?

I have a 2002 Camry 4 cyl LE with a 4spd automatic transmission. Recently I have been experiencing slow long shifts from 1-2 and 2-3. It's as if it is coasting in neutral for a couple of seconds before finally engaging the next gear. I experience this sensation only after the vehicle has cooled down. The transmission will start to shift like normal within 3 miles of driving. I have only experienced this recently as the weather has started to drop.
I have not changed my transmission fluid much as it is a synthetic and Toyota claims it will last the life of the car. I did a drain and fill at 90K mi. The car currently has 150K mi on it and after experiencing these problems I did a drain and fill, drove the car 10 miles and repeated with another drain and fill. This seemed to have worked on the first day after doing this but now it is back to the slow long shifts. I am thinking of cleaning the strainer and taking the car in to have the transmission flushed. Is there a way to tell if my transmission is failing?

So i just recently purchased my 2012 Toyota Camry SE V6 about a month ago. At first everything is great which it STILL is but lately I've discovered that I'm hearing a weird & SERIOUSLY IRRITATING noise/sound/rattle! Every time I drive between 10mph-40mph and it gets rapidly fast as I increase speed.. thats the RATTLE noise. I did my research and it said it can be a loose bolt or a loose heat shield underneath but I'd like some advice from Toyota Nation. Also when i make a slight turn I hear a weird clunking or some weird unexplainable noise. I have a new 2016 Toyota Camry XLE V6 with all available options. I have been disappointed with the Lane Departure feature. In this colder weather in the morning when you start the car it seems like the windshield inside the enclosure above the rear view mirror clouds up because of the difference in temperature inside and out and the Lane Departure is unavailable. Is this normal anyway?? Is the enclosure above the rear view mirror sealed air tight or not? I drove 3 hours yesterday before the sun apparently dissipated the fog in the enclosure and the Lane Departure came on.

Okay. So the past two days I went out to start my car to let it sit for a minute or two. When I went back out I heard a strange noise coming from the passenger side towards the front of the engine. So I got in the car and went to drive out. I shifted into gear and went to pull out and when I turned the steering wheel my battery light came on and the steering wheel got hard. Only lasted for about a second. Then while driving I noticed the passenger side creeks when I hit a bump. Also after driving and parking I noticed my car jumps around slightly at idle
I'll get a video of the noise tomorrow morning...
Also, I do have a custom cold air intake I built myself, and a custom built exhaust.
