I don't like cloudy, hazy, dull, yellow headlights so since the car like a year old, is there anyway can I prevent those headlights getting cloudy-yellow? Products that I could use? Does cook top cleaner work?
View 14 RepliesMost of the sedans I've owned in the last 25 years had a way to prevent the trunk from being unlocked from the inside without the non-Valet key. Sometimes it would be by turning the trunk lock in a particular way, or there might be a way to disconnect the passenger compartment lever with the non Valet key.
On this base model Camry however, it seems the trunk will always unlock with the hand lever, and the valet key is only for keeping the glove box locked. Is this right?
I have the Chinese LED-stripe headlights, and I've been getting condensation in them lately. The weather hasn't been particularly warm, cold, or humid lately, but it happens every time I use them. It does evaporate over time, but it is quite a bit of moisture when it occurs (definitely noticeable, and dripping down the entire front inside the housing). With winter coming, I'm worried about this continuing to happen and freezing, etc. Is there something I might have done wrong when I installed them? This is not a case of water getting into the light housings--it almost seems like I need to do something to vent them, however, to see if that prevents the issue.
View 9 RepliesSometimes my door chime will elert when I shut my car off (push button start ignition) and I notice the flashing key on the dash flashes yellow. It doesn't happen all the time however. Is this a sign that my key fob battery needs replacement?
2012 V6 Camry owner
Swap out the LED dome lights in a 2012 Camry SE? I'm considering switching the bulbs out from the yellow tone stock lighting to the white lighting LED bulbs. I am also considering floor lighting that can be activated with the dome light switch and/or with the doors opening. The issue I'm having is that I would like them to be hooked up to the same switch that the stock lights are set up with. (So I can use the dimmer switch for lighting). Where I would be able to tap into the wiring for this? Is there a DIY thread somewhere?

View 14 RepliesWith colder weather upon us here in the States, many of us are experiencing ICE startup with turning the cabin heat on or trying to defrost the front windows. The seat heaters go a long way towards not having to turn on the cabin heat and triggering the ICE, but that doesn’t solve the window defrosting issue.
I was thinking today as we got the first of our seasonal rains here around the Sacramento area, and the ICE kicking in while defrosting the windows, it would be nice to have another non-ICE solution for this. I’m not sure if the technology yet exists, but if there was a defrosting system on the front and side windows similar to the defrosting grid of the rear windows, but invisible to the eye, this might do the trick.
The headlights on my 2012 Camry are not automatically turning on and off. Is there some type of setting that I need to setup in order for that automatic feature to work?

View 14 RepliesI recently bought some lamin-x tint for my headlights and fogs. I have only seen a few ppl on here tint their lights, but it was only the the tailights i have seen done on here. So I have an optic blue for the headlights and med gunsmoke for the fogs. Just came in yesterday so I will try to get them on within a week. I will post some pics to show how it looks.

Noticed that with the stock ones but they get dimmer when you're headlights are on. I want to keep a constant brightness.
I am going to remove LED headlights & do a full HID retro.

My headlights seem to be off. The beams are spread too far apart, leaving a dark spot right in the middle. It is a 2016 and I just noticed it tonight. I have been trying to find the horizontal adjustment. Is this it? I have tried to turn it but did not notice any difference. Which way am I suppose to turn the left and right one to have the beams move closer to each other?
View 7 RepliesI just purchased a 2012 camry se, I have about 900 miles on the car, and today while driving home through light rain,(drove for about 35 mins) when I got home and parked the car in the garage I noticed BOTH of my headlights were fogged up about halfway, starting from the corners facing the front license plate. I sure know this is not normal and it will slowly deteriorate the inside of the headlight.
This is a safety issue because if driving for a long time with the lights on and you suddenly encounter rain and your headlights are having this problem, your bulb most likely crack and you will be in the dark, I had this happened in the past with a nissan.
I Strongly suggest that you take a look at your headlights when you get home after a drive through the rain/fog or maybe after washing your car. I took pictures but not immediately, about one hour after and some condensation was still present, I will head over to my dealer after writing this.
I'm trying to find a fix that will prevent the ipod integration from auto playing the top song while scrolling from the nav screen. I also own a 2010 RX350 and Lexus took care of that for me. Do Toyota has a fix for my 2010 XLE NAV??

Great car, Love it! It's a big improvement from the 2006 Prius.
When applying the brakes and holding the pedal down, I notice that the indicator for slippery/traction yellow icon appears in my dash when completely stopped.
There is no map option on the steering wheel that allows you to switch back to the Nav/Map system on the HD display. Is there a voice command?
Just bought my 5th Camry... a 2011 LE model.
Hate the LED tails, but I can live with them if I must.
Very disappointed the tails have red turn signals.
how to modify for yellow turn signals?
