Have probably 1500 miles on my '15 XSE. Got in the car today and noticed that there was a crack in the instrument cluster plastic shield. I just detailed the interior of my car 400 miles ago and it wasn't there and I've been the only person in my car.
View 5 RepliesI own a 2012 Toyota Camry LE (TCLE), and recently I've noticed that the "instrument cluster" shows "MAINT REQD" warning light on for more than a few seconds when I start the car. All other warning lights do turn off while the "MAINT REQD" is still ON for a few seconds more than I usually remember. This car has about 25K miles, and I bought it with 19K miles. Should I take it to a dealer for a check up? By the way, I was waiting until the end of February to take the car for a oil change, but I am now concerned with this stupid WARNING light
View 14 RepliesI have a 2012 F350 XLT that came out of Canada. So of course the speedometer is in KM. (Large numbers are km and smaller numbers are mph). I am trying to find out if I can simply change out my cluster with a mph cluster???
View 4 RepliesI just bought my 2015 Sonata a few days ago and tonight I noticed spots and cloudiness on the plastic in front of the gauges. I tried wiping it with a microfiber cloth, a magic eraser, and a piece of newspaper dipped in a mixture of vinegar and water, but nothing seems to get the spots/cloudiness to go away. It's really distracting, particularly at night. I plan on trying Meguiar's Plastx, and if that doesn't work, I'll probably have to take it to the dealership and see what they can do.

I had Hyundai Navigation going to see what the 3D view looked like (8" display on map fullscreen), along with my iPod Classic playing music. On the instrument cluster, I started cycling quickly through the tabs on the center LCD starting from the MPG/speed page to the navigation page (via the menu button on the steering wheel). I overshot it and cycled through again.
I was doing this very quickly when the whole instrument cluster restarted as if the engine was off and turned back on. The LCD and numbers on speedo and tach completely went out, the needles on speedo and tach went to zero and returned (while cluster was still off), and the cluster did a system check, with all icons displaying for a second then turning off and the System Check screen displaying on center LCD.
In addition, I previously had AUTO HOLD on and when the instrument cluster restarted, AUTO HOLD was displayed in red and could not be turned off or activated (car would not auto hold) and the traction control icon (I believe) stayed on. The main 8" display was unaffected when all this happened.
I was able to turn the car off and back on later and everything seemed fine after. It freaked me out quite a bit, especially when all this happened while I was driving.
I recently traded my 2012 GS 350 for a 2015 GX 460. It's more my type of vehicle, and I am loving it except for a noise under the dashboard that seems to be somewhere behind the instrument cluster.
The noise is more of a ticking sound, and if I had to guess, it seems to be a wiring harness in that mesh-type wrapping that's moving around. I hear mostly over bumps in the road, but it also shifts when I accelerate from a stop. Unfortunately, the area where I'm hearing this is inaccessible without removing the dash.

The instrument panel on my Prius (speedometer, fuel gauge, etc. on the dash) keeps going out intermittently. Took it to the Toyota place and of course the lights were back on.
View 4 RepliesNoticed a digital "shadow" to the electronic speedometer display? Below is a picture of what I'm seeing. It's not a viewpoint or reflection that goes away from a different angle. It's like there is an alignment issue or something.. I know the display image is a projection from below, to create a distant focal point. But I see this image shadow.

Toyota service center asked $6000 to replace wire harness and PROBABLY electronic control unit.
I found some posts, but the answers are not that clear to fix it. [URL] ....
I have a 2005 Camry with 150K miles on it. Last night while driving home from vacation, the instrument cluster and center facia (AC controls area) went out all of a sudden. When the front headlights are on the inst cluster and AC facia lights dont work, but when the front headlights are off the instrument cluster lights work. I checked the 10 A panel fuses and they are ok. The tail lights are also working.
View 3 RepliesI've had my new Camry a week now with Michelins on them and I feel every crack and bump in the road. Cold pressure they read 33psi. Do these tires need to be "broken in"? .What are you all running? The door label says 35 but that seems high to me.
View 14 RepliesThe plastic shield under the engine has fell down and dragged while driving. I have put it back up with zip ties and i seem to be getting worse gas mileage now since air is catching?? Is it ok just to remove this guard?

View 13 RepliesMaybe its supposed to do it, but I noticed tonight, that when the car is turned on and light switch it set to off, and then to either auto or on, the cluster lights dims from its normal intensity to less intense. Does that happen with the regular halogen bulbs as well ?I never really payed close attention to it before.
View 3 RepliesI first noticed that the sunroof was making scratching noises when I opened and closed it then finally noticed the plastic on one side had just fallen out. I put it back, but it just eventually falls out again.

View 1 RepliesRecently purchased a CPO 2009 F250SD 6.4L. Happy with the truck overall but this AM I noticed a slight burning plastic smell so I opened the hood and looked around closely. Didn't really find the culprit(I don't think) but noticed that the engine compartment heat shield/barrier appears to be falling down above and behind the turbos (pictures linked below). How big a deal is this? Would it be covered under the CPO warranty? It almost seems like a safety issue. I also wonder if the insulation material, now exposed without the metal reflector material, is what is causing the smell....

View 3 RepliesI just noticed on my wife's camry the rear door pillar post plastic is sort of lifting/buckling in the middle. The front doors pillar plastic is fine just on both rear doors it started to lift in the middle. When you push it back down it stays for a second or two then lifts up again. the car is 2012 and only has 10k miles Not happy.
