i have 2015 xse, every time i turn off my car or switch on my car, i hear a continuous Beep sound. i think that sound comes from engine bay area but i was not able to find the actual source.
View 6 RepliesMy 2015 camry front dome light switch is broken. This is the push type light. I am not sure how but today i was trying to turn the light on and noticed it wasn't turning on. When i opened the lens cover to switch the bulb i noticed the button was missing and the other side has a button. I don't understand why the light will not turn on when i open the door either. I tried sticking some thing small in to the broken part where the button used to be and it turns on if i do that, but i would have to hold it in place which is pretty inconvenient. What can i do to fix this? it seems like i have to replace the whole overhead assembly. Is there a cheap fix? i would be happy if the light comes on when i at least open the door.

1.When start to move there is a thump noise and sometimes it feel like going over something from the rear area.Happen only when start to move.
2.Using the keyless remote. Sometimes push the rear trunk button to lock and arm the car there but will be a beep sound continuously. Sometimes the rear trunk button are unable to open or arm the alarm system.
2015 Camry XLE V6 [Canadian version]... I was thinking of having a switch to turn the Fogs/DRL on or off. I just don't like it running while the car is running and would like to control those lights myself of when I want it on or off. Is this possible?

I have a 10' kayak that I slide into the trunk for a 1/2 mile drive down my private road to the dock and I'm sick of listening to that warning beep--hoping I can put tape over the switch or something to shut it up.
whats the limit for low tire pressure light (tpms light) to turn on in 2015+ camrys. My tpms light turned on, on a cold morning, few days ago, tire pressure was 28 psi that day. Now my tire pressure raise upto 30 in all tires by it self due to warm weather, but light is still on.

View 13 RepliesI just purchased a 2012 hyundai accent not too long ago with 20,000 miles on it but, I am able to hear a long beep noise go off somewhere around my engine every time I shut my car off. Is this normal? It's not loud at all just enough to hear it. I've also had a situation occur where I have gone to turn my rear defrosters on and while remaining stopped at a light and i heard i vibrating noise come from the rear of the cabin but then stopped once i began to drive. Could this be related?

There is a clicking/popping noise (mostly popping) coming from the dashboard or the area of middle of the dashboard were the radio and ac controls are. I took it to the dealership but they couldn't figure out the problem, one of the workers told me it might be that the plastic needs to loosen up and to keep on driving it. It does it more often when it is hot outside and it is really annoying.
View 14 RepliesI've had my 2015 Camry SE for about a month now. During the second week, I was driving into work and noticed an electronic noise coming from the center of the dash. I can describe it as sounding like a CD continuously spinning. It continued after I parked and shut the ignition off. I opened the door, then got back in and turned the car on, and the sound stopped. I figured maybe it was cell phone interference.
This morning, it happened again on my way to work. Same exact scenario. The only similarity I can tell is that I had to use my heat/defrosters both mornings.
Normally when I lock my '14 'v' I touch the sensor on the drivers door handle and I hear the beep and the doors lock. Today I had one instance when I touched the sensor (bare handed) and the doors didn't lock and I got a continuous beep until I opened the door.
Checked and everything looked OK. All the doors were closed, etc. Tried it 2 or 3 times and the same thing happened. I finally gave up and locked it with the fob, which worked fine. The next time I went to lock it, several hours later, it worked fine.
I couldn't find anything in the manual that would indicate why I got this continuous beep and no door lock. Why it did this?
Just purchased 2015 Camry LE. While taking delivery, I noticed a subtle piston slap that started shortly after the engine started and completely went away after driving the car for about 10 minutes. Most people would not consider it an issue, but I am an engineer working with large industrial engines all the time so it was a concern. I asked to drive another Camry on the lot and it had the same issue. The service manager came out and said that this slap is normal and all 2012 - 2015 Camry with 2AR-FE engine do this. I bought the car anyway since I loved the overall design, ride quality and the features, but the piston slap keeps bothering me.
2012-2015 Camry equipped with 2AR-FE 2.5L engine? In order to check you have to start the cold engine and wait for the RPMs to drop to around 900 which will take 1-2 min. Put your ear in front of the radiator and listed to the subtle metallic tapping noise of the pistons rocking and slapping the bore walls. The noise will last for about 10 minutes until the pistons expand and close the excess gap between them and the bore.
I noticed recently that my car started this popping noise when braking in reverse gear. I never ran over anything and babied it for all the 6000 miles it has on the ODO. 2015 Camry

It sounds like a water bottle in the cup holder when its makes that rattling sound. I was thinking it's the A-pillar cover on the passenger side.

View 5 RepliesI recently purchased a new 2015 toyota camry XLE v6 and i love it! HOWEVER the remote start feature i have a problem with. I use the Keyfob that came with the car but i just have to press the lock button twice and hold the third time to remotely start the engine. when start the engine with the remote and it starts normally, when i put my hand on the door handle it unlocks normally but when i open the door the engine shuts off and i have to restart the engine when i get in.
No other car i know does this and its annoying. Did they not install it properly? Or can I have it programmed to not shut off the engine when i open the door and just press the start stop button when I get in like any other car. I got an excuse from the dealership that its a security feature on the car but you cant unlock the door without the keyfob being close anyway.
A couple months ago I bought a 2010 with the basic trim package. How to change the Beeping in reverse from continuous to "one beep". The owner's manual says that you have to take it to the dealer.
View 5 RepliesMy first VW was a 2001 4-door Golf (Silver), traded to 2003 GTI (Silverstone), traded to 2006 Jetta Wagon (Blue). Then the wagon was traded for a SUV. Well last week, I have decided to pick up my 4th VW. It's a 2012 CSG 4-door GTI.
After driving the car for a week, and putting on 350 miles, I heard a high pitch continous "whistling" sound from the engine. Took the car to the dealer this afternoon. Tech came out and loosened the coolant reservoir. I heard a "pooof", sound of air build up. The tech said VW is aware of this problem. Something to do with the water pump bearing. It has to be replaced. They took the car in to replace the water pump.
Having problems with a squeaking or ticking noise coming from the front windshield area on the passenger side? I took off the A-pillar and tweeter speaker cover, and the noise was still there. Pressing on the A-pillar did not work and it's not any of the cords or plastics in there rubbing. It almost sounds like it's behind the A-pillar. Pressing on the dash, windshield, headliner, etc. all have no effect on the noise.
I'm trying really hard to fix this myself because I'm worried about a tech tearing apart the dash trying to fix it. It might end up worse than it is now. I'm thinking this TSB will need to be done (which seems to apply to all Toyotas): [URL] ....
Next on my list to check is the passenger side mirror (make sure it's fastened securely) and also the black liner under the windshield wipers. I also have foam (like the kind you use when installing a window AC) which I may also try stuffing into the bottom of the front windshield (and maybe the top) to see if that works.
If all else fails, the car is going to the dealer I guess. The Camry is such a quiet car that the noise is really irritating in an otherwise quiet interior. Other than this noise, the car is great! Just a little bummed because my 2005 has zero rattles or noises and my gf's old 2009 also had no rattles or noises. The 2015 refresh is nice, though we're still on the fence about the front grille. My relative is waiting for the 2016's to be released later this year and then he will be buying one for his patrol car. The 2015 isn't a full redesign but it looks different enough that he wants to wait for the next MY to come out. He's dreading leaving behind his 5MT Civic but it needs to be replaced. He hasn't had an auto, ever, come to think of it..

Went to start the car up this morning - foot on brake and pressed the Power button. The car went through its checks but when it finished the 'Welcome to Prius' graphic it did a continuous beeep and displayed 'Check Hybrid System' and didn't start.
I turned it off and tried again and on the third or fourth attempt the car eventually fired up, the error message was gone and there were no warning lights on the dash. The car did smell like it was running rich though.
I turned it off and called the dealers. They said if no warning lights are now on it should be ok to drive the 6 miles to see them and they'll check it on their computer. As I drove to see them the car was running OK but the fuel economy was shocking. I was getting about 40 mpg UK (30 US mpg) as a trip average.
I have a 2014 F-250 6.7 crew cab. Noticed today when I put the truck in reverse there's a continuous steady beep where as before the beep was intermittent, as I got closer to the object it would become faster until it would eventually become a steady beep. Which I'm sure was working correctly. Tried cleaning the Camera lens but it didn't work, it continued the steady beep now I'm worried.
