Will be picking up my Camry XLE in a couple days. Told the Dealers not to install the front plate holder and plates.
So, I was wondering has anyone installed a bracket somewhere on/in the front without drilling into the bumper?
I prefer it like that, at least I can put on or take off without having marks or what so ever on the car.
On my recently purchased 2013 Camry with DUAL VVT-i on the engine I cannot locate the transmission fluid dipstick.. I have ordered the owners's manual but it has not arrived.
View 14 RepliesMounting front license plate somewhere other than the "official" mounting location? I don't like the thought of putting holes in my front bumper. I can move it down a bit such that the holes are in the bumper just above the air opening. So, they would be less noticeable. This would block some of the airflow through the lower opening. But, unless I'm driving in 100+ deg temps, it probably won't matter.
I could also offset it to the right or left in the lower opening.
where to get it? I want to plug up my bumper holes and just put the plate on the tow hook.

I have a 2013 Camry SE and I am experiencing the annoying license plate rattle at the back of the car whenever I shut the trunk or drive over bumps. It's really getting to me as of late?

I know this might not seem important but everytime I slam my trunk the license plate is making contact with the rear so it makes that rattle noise everytime I close it. It's annoying because sometimes I just want to close my trunk without being noticed. Toyota should've made two more holes at the bottom of the plate so this wouldn't happen.

Out of the photos below, which include stock and my "edited" ones, what looks best? I also considered possibly replacing the front grille with a custom one instead of blacking out.
Camry Vibrating and Hesitating. A couple people told me it was probably the tires and that only expertly balanced michelins will fix this. I would like to do it myself.

View 14 RepliesI bought a 2015 camry xse v6 and it is awesome. There is a clicking/popping noise (mostly popping) coming from the dashboard or the area of middle of the dashboard were the radio and ac controls are. I took it to the dealership but they couldn't figure out the problem, one of the workers told me it might be that the plastic needs to loosen up and to keep on driving it. It does it more often when it is hot outside and it is really annoying.
View 14 RepliesI contacted the factory and also a couple dealers. Officially, Toyota only offers the FOB and a valet key for the 2015 Camry LE w/o Smart Key. But I want a small, relatively inexpensive, water resistant, transponder key that looks like the valet key, but also opens the glove box.
My understanding is that the 2015 Camry and the 2013-2014 Rav4 both use the new "H" transponder keys.
are all Toyota "H" key blanks (ones w/o buttons at least) interchangeable?
Specifically, would the OEM "89785-0D170" "H" transponder key which I found online for the 2014 Rav4 work for the 2015 Camry too?

When I put it in my normal seating position, thigh support quarter way up, and back tilted a bit back, I can't see well over the sides or front. I'm 5'10 with a longer torso.
View 7 RepliesI just bought a 2015 Camry LE 2 weeks ago and noticed a slight annoying steering wheel vibration when you hit 40 kph and above. You can also feel it on the floor and when you hold the door. Brought it to the dealership and they balanced the wheel. It seemed to have made a difference and you can now feel the vibrations from 80 kph and above. Did a road test with the mechanic and the service manager but they couldn't feel anything and told me it was normal road vibrations. Was advised to go to another dealership for a 2nd opinion. 2nd dealership found a slight excessive loaded runout on the LF tire and road force balanced it.
After 2 days i can again feel a vibration, but this time now at 115 kph and above.I thought I was just being paranoid so I drove a Maxima for 2 days and never felt a vibration.

One thing I noticed is that even when I am driving by myself the yellow passenger airbag off light is always illuminated. Is this normal? I couldn't find anything in the settings. I would think it should flash a couple times then turn off.
