View 14 RepliesI own a 2015 camry SE - 4k miles on it. Right from the second month I felt like the brake was stiffer and I always felt like I am going to rear end the vehicle in the front. Last one month it became really worst. The pedal feels lot stiff and I have to press hard to bring to a complete stop. Brake is not very responsive. I feel like its still rolling even after applying the brakes and I have to apply the brake very hard to come to a stop. It looks to me like there is a response delay between applying brake pedal and actual stop. I used to drive a Civic and this is my first Toyota so I am not sure whether this issue is common in camry.

when should I get the first oil change done? 5,000 miles per the dealership or after the first 1000?
I just notice that two of my tires, all of them Michelin Energy™ Saver A/S tires, seems to be worn out after 10K mile usage. However, when I look these tires at the Michelin web site, it states that these tires have a 64K mile warranty. Also if I decided that two of my tires, all Michelin Energy™ Saver A/S tires, need replacement, could I just replace the two worn out tires or all 4 tires?
View 14 RepliesThis F250 has 60130 miles on it. A week ago the transmission would not engage and we had to have it towed to the dealership, so we called roadside assistance. Finally getting the report from the dealership we are verbally told that the transmission pump failed and the clutches have burnt.
The work is submitted for warranty. Last night we get a phone call that they are denying the warranty because the truck has been neglected/abused. So I asked for the service paperwork. The service paperwork states, SEALS FAILED ALLOWING CLUTCHES TO FAIL, NEEDS CLUTCHES, SEALS, AND PUMP TO REPLACE.
When I call to get clarity on the definition of neglect and the justification, I am told the inspector was shown burnt clutches and a muddy truck. When I ask about the pump and seals, I am told the inspector was never shown 1 failed seal, and the pump was fully assembled and did not appear defective.
So I call the dealership back and ask for an explanation and they tell me they will research it and get back to me. When they call me back their story is not just that the clutches failed, nothing else and that they are just replacing the pump and seals because it is recommended. The notes given by the technician to the warranty folks now state that the clutches burnt and the truck was muddy so he knows we abused it.
It would slip and then knock into gear. Transmission was service 5000 miles ago by dealer, we were told it was good, in good working order, fluid looked great, no issues.
noticed at 8k miles i started getting a vibration from the front wheels on my new camry [2014]. feels like typical warped rotor. i could understand if the car were being driven hard but its not. now at 8.5k the vibration is getting worse. Who manufactures a good quality drilled and slotted rotor ? also the dipstick tube at the block [4cyl] is leaking oil. has been repaired by toyota twice already and leaking again.
View 10 RepliesSet up the free oil change for next week (10,600 on the odometer) and was wondering if this is an automatic light just based on mileage. Prior owner got a free 5,000 mile oil change and selling dealer changed the oil at 5,800 when we bought it.
But I guess if there's a reset somewhere that neither prior dealer took the time to do the car thinks it's time for it's first change. This is a 2014.5 SE Sport put in service July of 2014.
The maintenance required light just started flashing on our Camry last night.
It just went to the dealer at 4,200 mi for an "early" oil change (I had wanted an early oil change done, and the the dealer said it wasn't required til 10,000 miles). So no new oil.
It's about 7 months old, and mostly driven on short trips - our other car is used for the long trips. Tires were rotated @ last service.
Does it actually want an oil change? I'd take it to the dealer, but their next appointment is 2 weeks out.
I just got a 2015 Camry SE and I believe it did not come with Enture. Is it possible to install it on the current head unit or would i have to update the head unit ? also what would happen if i tried.

So, I was wondering has anyone installed a bracket somewhere on/in the front without drilling into the bumper?
I prefer it like that, at least I can put on or take off without having marks or what so ever on the car.
Who has installed the OEM Qi charger into their 2015 XLE yet? My phone has it, so I am looking to do this when I can find the parts.

Out of the photos below, which include stock and my "edited" ones, what looks best? I also considered possibly replacing the front grille with a custom one instead of blacking out.
Camry Vibrating and Hesitating. A couple people told me it was probably the tires and that only expertly balanced michelins will fix this. I would like to do it myself.
View 1 RepliesI have done some reading of past threads regarding both Gen 7 Camry with people having an issue with a strong smell coming from their vents after perhaps 1K miles or less on their vehicle. Looks like some people had it fixed (some fixing it by themselves) while others continued to experience the problem. Similar thread regarding Toyota Camry Hybrid but only brief thread. Then another thread regarding perhaps another smell like from plastics /battery (?) in Prius while I was on the Prius threads.
Has this problem been addressed/resolved either by Toyota or by owners who simply fixed it themselves? I also do not know if the Prius offensive odor (someone who was testing them noticed it while test driving) is a totally different thing (like I say someone said it was from plastics or battery itself, not sure.... )
These are things I never even thought of /considered when looking for a new vehicle, and never experienced in my older Camry.
I got a used 2012 Toyota Camry LE a week back, and I could feel that my Car Pickup speed is very poor and its struggling and jerking to reach 40 miles/hour speed, once reached 40 miles/hour then it runs smoothly.
I don't throttle more after a complete stop , but i could not see a smoothness or easy moving with my car. When I get to service station , they say its normal and they are saying i need to throttle more to get the right gear, as camry is designed like that.
The Sonata offers a lot of bang for the buck and a great interior. How woukd you compare the Sonata with the Camry?
View 14 RepliesI bought a 2015 camry xse v6 and it is awesome. There is a clicking/popping noise (mostly popping) coming from the dashboard or the area of middle of the dashboard were the radio and ac controls are. I took it to the dealership but they couldn't figure out the problem, one of the workers told me it might be that the plastic needs to loosen up and to keep on driving it. It does it more often when it is hot outside and it is really annoying.
View 14 RepliesI contacted the factory and also a couple dealers. Officially, Toyota only offers the FOB and a valet key for the 2015 Camry LE w/o Smart Key. But I want a small, relatively inexpensive, water resistant, transponder key that looks like the valet key, but also opens the glove box.
My understanding is that the 2015 Camry and the 2013-2014 Rav4 both use the new "H" transponder keys.
are all Toyota "H" key blanks (ones w/o buttons at least) interchangeable?
Specifically, would the OEM "89785-0D170" "H" transponder key which I found online for the 2014 Rav4 work for the 2015 Camry too?

View 6 RepliesI feel with the new design and everything being taller (doors, hood, dash) that you're forced to sit up higher. When I put it in my normal seating position, thigh support quarter way up, and back tilted a bit back, I can't see well over the sides or front. I'm 5'10 with a longer torso.
