I just traded in my 2012 Camry SE for a 2015 Camry SE and heving trouble getting the text messages to be displayed through the car's audio system screen?
View 3 RepliesI just upgraded my 2010 Camry XLE to the 2015 XLE Hybrid this weekend. Couple of issues... How to get the voice activated system to SEND text messages? I can receive and view them through the car display, but can't get them to respond. I get through all the prompts and then upon sending it stops and says it's not supported.
Second, what I need to get for my iPhone 6 Plus in order to use the built in Qi wireless charger that came with my car? Also, where can I get whatever it is I need to attach to my phone?
I have a new 2015 Es 350 (Great car!!). I have paired an iPhone 5s to the Nav system but have not been able to receive e-mails or Text messages on my screen. I have followed the directions but so far nothing transfers. The other iPhone features appear to be working fine. I have activated "send Notifications."
View 5 RepliesOn my 2015 ES350, when I receive a text message on my iPhone a message notification will be displayed on the dash and I can play the message content over the speakers in the car....but here's my question...while I am able to receive and "play" text message content via my entertainment system, I can't find a way to send text messages via the entertainment system...am I missing something?

View 14 RepliesBoth the wife and I have the iPhone. Series 5. Both paired ez to the Lexus. I wanted to check out how messaging worked..so I message her while on her way to work. She said the music quit playing but didn't notice anything on the screen. Is there a setting I have to change/activate to have the message show on screen?
View 14 RepliesMy 2014 Avalon XLE connects to my iPhone 6 Plus for music and phone - nothing else. I am with ATT. Is there an update coming from Apple or ATT, or is there something I need to do to make the connection work? It's hard to believe that Toyota would not be compatible with the iPhone.
View 8 RepliesI just upgraded my phone from galaxy s5 to galaxy s7. Even though on S5 my GS350 would display and read text messages, it stopped on my S7. I made my text messages work again.
1. Remove all linked phones, unpair bluetooth connection, and restart phone in SAFE mode
. (Google how to start your phone in Safe mode).
2. After pairing and connecting phone to car blue tooth in safe mode, everything transferred, all contacts, text messages, even emails.
You now can receive texts and use the available message replies.
3. Restart your phone to take out of safe more and you are all set.
I have text message alert set up, so when they come in it pops up on screen and I can read it or have it read to me...... But after reading is there a way to delete messages from the Info system ?
View 13 RepliesI pretty much have my car all setup now, but one thing that I have not been able to do is receive text messages to where it will display on the in dash screen. I have the Solar Package / Premium Navigation system. As for my Phone, I have the Galaxy Note II with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and AT&T. My phone still receives texts while connected to the car's blue tooth, and I can view on my phone, but I'm unable to view on the in dash display, which means I can't send out the quick replies either. Is there something in the phone that I need to set up?
View 7 RepliesI just received a 2010 Camry XLE V6. The problem is such: no matter what I do, I am unable to input or enter an address into the built in GPS. the "ADDRESS" button is greyed out and not clickable.
I can't enter an address (123 W. Whatever Street, Anywhere, USA) to put in something for the address book, home location, "drive to" etc.
The Toyota dealership guy said, "something is definitely wrong"
the whole car and built-in unit work fine with the exception I cannot enter an address because the button on the on-screen display/menu is greyed out and unclickable ...
My wife have a 14 Corolla LE Plus, no NAV and every time I get a text message it pop up on the screen and I can play the read out message over the car speaker system.
On my Camry it does not do this. I have NAV with the 7" screen. I try matching the setting of my Camry to the Corolla and it seen to be the same but still it does not ready out the message or even pop up when I get a text message.
My IPhone 5 is paired with the car that I know that for sure, all my phone book contacts and phone work just fine even play music from my phone. I can't find anything in the manual.
I became the owner of a used (43k) magnetic grey 2014 Camry SE I4. The radio display does not seem to know where I am touching the screen. It is indicating about 1" above my actual touch and there are functions I am unable to select because of this.
View 4 RepliesI was in my friends' new Corolla and Tacoma (both with the Entune Plus) and noticed right away that their backup camera image was much clearer than my 2014.5 SE with the base Entune Audio.
So I went to the Toyota Camry site and look at the current specs,
LE,SE standard
(6.1-in. touch-screen display)
XSE,XLE standard
(7-in. high resolution touch-screen display)
So I am wondering, has the XLE always had the high resolution display since 2012?
I am guessing the only cheap upgrade option is buying used display units to swap out. Does the rear camera need upgrading also?
Recently brought a 2015 camry SE and wouldn't you know it, someone pulls out in front of me on the highway within a week of buying it. After getting the car back from the auto body shop, I've noticed that my multi information display has a blank screen. Didn't notice that before the accident. The first 3 screens I can set up as I want, the 4th screen is tire pressure and the 5th screen is blank. I've tried to find out what the 5th screen should be but I haven't been able to find an answer.

In the center screen, where the car displays animations for door ajar and trunk open, I am wondering, is it supposed to display anything for hood open, when i pull the hood latch or open the hood. my car is not showing any thing on dash or center screen when i open the hood.

View 5 RepliesI had the basic Entune radio but recently upgraded to the Entune Audio Plus with navigation after talking with a tech at the dealership. I unfortunately don't have the audio tab at all, how to add it to my display. No one at the dealership knows how and they referred me to Toyota Corporate about my situation. Any button sequence that can add or delete tabs on the display?
View 9 RepliesI have a 2012 PIP (assume same technology as non-PIP Gen 3s?). I paired my Galaxy S3 phone with the PIP and when my phone receives a text message, I get the prompt on the Prius' screen to read the text message to me. I then paired my wife's iPhone4 to the car, but when she gets a text, there's no prompt on the Prius' screen to read the text. Where should I start troubleshooting this?
